Can the Gilgamesh trial be fairly easily OHKO'd now? I never got Bushido Freedom and I'm looking up strats for Aigaion and a lot of them recommend it.

You can use it, but you don't really have to- the only thing you really need dispelled is the main body.

Is WoL necessary? I'm probably going to have to do this the long way because I have to use Orlandeau(s) as my damage dealer, and they'll have to be gimped (maybe).

I could use Maxwell as the Sacrifice, and then Tilith, Ace (mana battery), Rikku & Orlandeau x2.

Or I could use Tilith, Ace, Rem + WoL (provoke/revive) and then 2x Orleandeau, but I miss out on Rikku's stuff, which seems better. I guess I should see how high I can get Maxwell.

I will say for Aigaion, unless you ramp everyones' SPR to 300+ you should have a tank to absorb those basic attacks since you don't want your sacrificial lamb to eat GB, and stray hits on the same turn until Lefty is dead and buried.

WoL's Light Is With Us was pretty boss, drawing in Aigaion's random pokes without attracting Left Arm's OHKO attack

My only DPS was a friend 1000+ MAG Fryevia

... or was it 900+ MAG? Either way, it took me 6,5 hours to do it the long way

I mean, you don't have to do it continuously

Just sacrifice your NRG and Arena Orb and fight the fight as you have time. I think one guy did it after 20 hours of a lot more off than on fighting

I don't have the patience for that. If I spent 4+ hours on this fight, even across 24 hours, and ended up losing because of bad RNG or something, I'd throw my phone in a wood chipper and burn down my apartment.

I'd honestly rather ignore it and just pray for a Fryevia someday.

The only time bad rng should happen is as long as Lefty is still alive.

Once it's dead you prepare for that double GB(Always dispel the bastard) once you killed the right man once.

After it is dead and buried it's a smooth, but long, predictable battle as long as you have Rikku. OR Tidus to make it easier.

WoL was completely necessary for me. Since I used Fry, I killed the body first and went the short route. After the body is gone the right arm becomes a problem (this was actually the hardest part of the fight with the body first method, at least from my experience). It took about a little over an hour. With Orlandeau or Emperor I don't think you can do the body first method since the damage to the body ends up getting outhealed by the right arm.

Machine killer is a big help, especially if you're going the brute force method on the body.

You can with 2x Fryevia. You just need to be able to consistently do more than 500k damage to the body every turn.

So I would need to figure out the other 3 characters in the party should be.

It's possible, but once the body is dead you'll need some luck, because the right arm will be hitting, and hitting hard. That's why WoL was huge during that portion. If I didn't have WoL I wouldn't have got through even half of the right arm portion. Even then it still took some luck with Fry getting I shall not lose! followed by dodging the next physical attack.

Can't 2B be used as a chainer as well? With her innate machine killer, it might be a safer solution to use both of them, and drop Orlandeau for WoL

That might work? Just be careful before crossing the 70% threshold (and every 5 turns after that) and make sure you have Rikku's LB, because World Destroyer + all the other attacks from the arms are rough.

Alternatively, if you're careful, you can probably work is so you kill the body & right arm on the same turn.

No, the OHKO attack can't be evaded.

Pretty much there's 2 ways to go about it-

The first is the ARMS method: kill the left arm 10 times, then kill right arm 3x, then main body.
It's safer since you free your OHKO provoker after L arm is down and it's relatively easy until you kill the Right Arm the second time( then you have to tank 2 Genocide beams a turn) and the last phase( cause World Destroyer), but you're running through a total of 13 lifebars, so it takes hours.

The other way is the Brute Force method( which I did)- kill Main Body, then Right Arm, then Left Arm.
Much quicker than the ARMS method, but it's also a harder route for a few reasons:
1) you'll almost always be down one member cause you kill the Left Arm last( which also makes the Ramuh mission a touch harder and to be saved for last because electric attacks to it lead the arm to counter with a very painful AoE)
2) It is REQUIRED that you do at least more than 500k per turn to out damage the R arm heals
3) you'll be taking the attacks of all three parts- including World Destroyer once you pass 70% and every 5 turns past said threshold

It gets easier as it goes on; once the main body goes down, you just have to deal with 8 buffed Physical attacks from the right arm- usually a good idea to get the Right Arm's life down as much as possible during the main body phase without killing it- and once the right arm goes down, the Left arm just keeps killing your OHKO bait and nothing else, so you can take your frustrations out on it.

Also, note that 100% provoke can override the "highest atk" focus, so if your OHKO bait goes down without a reraise and you have someone with 100% provoke(WoL, Wilhelm), they can take the hit instead while you recover the Re-raise.

Is anyone else having terrible luck with Explorations this week? I swear I've failed more in the last few days than I have in the last month. I don't think I've even broken 100 Relics yet this week, and I'm a bit worried about making the 140. I realize some of it is my units are still mostly 4-star, so obviously I'm not really matching the requirements, but it's still pretty disheartening to see three missions in a row fail.

Also, a question on how long buffs are supposed to last. I'm using Zargabaath in the raid to keep from being paralyzed, and from my understanding it's supposed to last three turns. I use it on Turn 1, and my mind is thinking I shouldn't need to use it again until Turn 4. But (and maybe I'm just not paying attention), I swear I'm seeing some units get paralyzed if I don't use it on Turn 3, which means I'm only getting the benefits for two of Engel's attack turns. Am I just imagining things, or is the game that blatantly unfair when it comes to buff/debuff duration?

I mean, I did it with few TM's(DW for my DPS Fry and Maxwell so he can be bait, Fry's needle, a bunch of Follower's Oaths, 2 Gungnir for Maxwell)-it was more event weapons and abilities that won the day.

but yea, your team of 2Bx2/Rem/Rikku/Tillith is fine. If possible get the 2B as a friend and stick a WoL in there for tanks and SPR Breaks.

My espers were so damn far behind, and now I have Lakshmi, Golem, and Titan all fairly well raised up on top ofthe Odin, Diabolos and Ifrit from last raid. And we're not even halfway done? Looks like most of my espers will finally start looking useful.

And I finally got Orlandeau max leveled, with the only problem being that he's going to be sharing so much equipment with Tidus. How badly will I piss off my friend list by rotating between the two? XD

Well, *3 espers are gluttons, so you will need all magicite you can get your hands on.

So until Siren/Ifrit/Shiva/Ramuh *3 most of us will insta-fill Tertra-Sylph, Bahamut and perhaps Fenrir.


As long as you are strong enough most won't probably care much, unless you only have a list dominated by one unit. (And active gifter since I seemed to be down to about 70/130 on Fiyun after I stopped going to that account since anniversary.)

Just pick one and have the other be sloppy seconds. It doesn't matter, the weaker one will be the first chainer and the stronger one the second and your companion.

Global Exclusive The Rumble Of Malboro Trial is finally here! After the maintenance anyway. Y'all know what a Great Malboro is, so expect a ridiculous amount of status ailments coming your way. Also the Moogle warns that about the Malboro's mouth (that Devour thing from the datamine?) and that there are multiple Malboros. The reward is a magic whip (ugh I have nobody who can use it) for clearing it on ELT, Ticket on PRO, and 100 Lapis on ADV. No items on ELT nets you a 5* 10% Moogle, Evoke Ifrit (not beat with) nets you the Malboro's Eye accessory which when used provides a 3 turn status immunity to poison, sleep, silence, and stone, and if you beat Great Malboro with an LB you'll get the Malboro's Whisper passive Ability, HP +20% and MAG +30%.

We also get a banner alongside the Trial, with 3-6* CoD (... why? Innate status resistance?), 3-6* Kefka (Ribbon (full status immunity accessory) TMR), 4-6* Warrior of Light (The Great WoL, come get him!), 4-6* Soleil (now I'm even more hyped for her Global exclusive buffs), and 5-6* Trance Terra (... uhh... I have no idea. Magic user I guess. Does she even use a whip?)

Finally, Maintenance on Wednesday 16-Aug 23:00 to Thursday 05:00 PDT. Just 6 hours thank god for that
