edit: and looking at the malboro trial, once again light damage gets nerfed, while fryevia is allowed to run wild. I get why it happens in JP because they don't have her, but for a global exclusive trial it's frustrating that she's a get out of jail free card for everything.

With this trial, Orlandeau would be pretty much useless anyway due to his lack of AoE attacks, even without the light resistance. DV has AoE, but Dark is resisted as well. Fryevia isn't that great for this trial, because you need to kill everything at the same time or the trash mobs will respawn Great Marlboro at 100% HP, so it seems similar to bloody moon. Yeah, she has Frost Flash, but that's not going to hit that hard against 4 million HP spawns that also need to be taken down at the same time. I'm thinking Ashe or anyone with Thundaja would be a better bet, since you can cast reflect on the party and spam that over and over again.

Edit: Anyone know when Sakura gets her 6*? She's good enough at 5*, but I think she would be great for this. Probably going to have to run Marie, Tilith, WoL, Ashe, and either Rikku or another Ashe for my main squad and go the Thundaja/Reflect route.

It sounds like you need to be able to do 400k AoE damage to even get Great Marlboro's defensive buffs to go away, since both of the spawns have to die on the same turn. I don't know if I even have anything that can do that much AoE damage period with all of the support needed. Definitely going to have to come back to this one!

Yeah, it's a bad fight that seems specifically tailored to counter every strategy in GL right now. Want to brute for the boss? Nope, it respawns unless you kill the adds. Want to buff up your tanks? Nope, unevadeable devour and magic-based attacks. Want to use high attack chainers? Nope, here's berserk, an ailment that has literally zero ways to stop or mitigate in the game.

Get ready for a GL exclusive base 5* to show up in a couple weeks that has berserk protection and magic damage mitigation.

i would assume Setzer cheese is also very good for it. i've got two at LV100, one around LV80, two leveld up Edgars, and a leveled up Cupid Luna. might try it with double dice.

wew lad

beat aigaion with that setup. fight almost went sideways after killing the body because I mismanaged the right arm's health and the fight dragged on a bit longer than it needed to. didn't get world destroyer but whatever.

also perfect chaining OHC is really hard. most of the time I just two 25-hit chains instead of the full 55-hit one. it was still enough to deal ~1.5m damage a turn to the body, but it seems like the timing is extremely tight. it's easier if you have another unit to bridge the frame gap.

Setzer cheese probably won't work on Marlboro. You need to do 400,000 AoE damage on the last turn to kill the mobs and Great Marlboro at the same time. You're leaving a lot up to RNG at that point, or the fight will reset. You'd need to be able to do a lot of damage outside of Setzer, and you still need a ton of support to survive until that point. Great Marlboro has 10,000,000 HP and each of his summons have 4,000,000.

I can't see how Edgar and Cupid Luna are going to survive when people have reported 10k HP WoLs getting one turned. It'd likely be a waste of 50 energy.

That's brilliant! Makes sense too, try to get people to keep spending on the Nier banner when you can't do dailies anymore so they have 5 9S, and then refresh on the raid to get enough moogles for him (or just be patient and wait)

I don't have Ace so I don't know the specifics, but I think I remember seeing something about different colored beams and a 20x or 22.5x modifier with both of them. Hopefully that means something to people that have him, or know what he does!

(30%) Tri-beam Laser: Magic damage (2.8x) with ignore SPR (25%) to all enemies (white laser)
(30%) Tri-beam Laser: Magic damage (4.2x) with ignore SPR (25%) to all enemies (yellow laser)
(30%) Tri-beam Laser: Magic damage (5.6x) with ignore SPR (25%) to all enemies (orange laser)
(10%) Tri-beam Laser: Magic damage (22.5x) with ignore SPR (25%) to all enemies (red laser)

basically 10% of the time you utterly destroy any boss. but if you're asking for 400k damage in AoE, that sounds like it may be doable even with 30%, especially if you've got two of them. Ace cheese is basically spam Tri-beam Laser and if you get 10%, you win.

that's what he turned into pretty much, yeah.
and thanks to all the bonuses he's got, he's also super easy to get 600+ MAG. mine does around 650 with leftover equipment that Rem and Fryevia have beaten. i can probably get him to 850-900 and put him as my buddy if that's desired.

Last Point Reward King Burst Pot get, 5* VoE's LB maxed, awakened to 6*, and maxed out. LB at level 21, HP maxed out, but still needs 3 mini MP pots, 4 mini DEF Pots, and 1 mini SPR pot to finish him off

why's that? i mean my EN normally isn't being used in that many things right now anyway, do your raid and see what else there is to do. add in that 2B and A2 are pretty good for the boss, it's pretty ideal.

it's just painfully long even with one of the best characters for this.
