Hard to tell. Super frequently I just don't know what a group has accomplished, or is even trying to accomplish. Mostly because naming conventions are ridiculous these days, compared to stated goals (Black Lives Matter is a movement to force more accountability from police, Gamergate was about journalism ethics, etc).

That said, I don't think I ever figured out what Occupy Wall Street wanted. Dissatisfaction with America's money distribution is totally a thing, but I don't recall them doing much after raising attention.

I believe that was the idea. They weren't necessarily wanting to make something happen immediately but get the spotlight on themselves long enough to make corporate America have to come face to face with the fact that there are people out there who feel corporate practice in this country is creating a widespread glass ceiling.

Technically their protest isn't pointless. If it were just that they were protesting Trump being a poor leader, that would be fair. Their problem is that they're the most stupid people on the planet to call themselves anti fascists while they simultaneously beat people over the head with bike locks and flag poles for disagreeing with them.

I might also throw in the BLM protests where they're protesting Michael Brown or some other people who are very clearly guilty.

Nobody who is for organic really understand what they are arguing for.
Some say it's the pesticides. Nothing to do with gmo, and still used in organic farming.
Some say it's the unnaturalness of the foods after mixing in genes from other organisms in order to help it survive with less pesticides. This point is all opinion and has no actual impact on anything in a negative way.
Some say that it's better for farmers. But organic farms get less produce by land use.
Some say they cause health problems but that has not been proven in any way, shape or form.
Some say it's the whole parenting of seeds and needing to buy new ones every year. But seed parents have been around as long as parents, plus it's a completely different issue.
There are dozens more reasons bring up, but the truth is gmo farming is necessary for the future if we actually want to feed the entire planet.

Widescale? Probably BLM, given that several of its chapters are basically all-white and protest the effects of man-made climate change on third-world nations by blocking airports. Talk about missing the script. They also shut down a gay pride parade because they felt that blacks weren't prominently represented; and, for once, I actually found myself siding with a pride parade which is rare because I generally mock parades especially pride parades.

That's not to say the left isn't full of ridiculous examples -- because they're more socio-politically active than the right -- but it's difficult to think of anything with such little productivity and such tremendous ridiculousness. At least things like Occupy and the femi-fascist movements stay reasonably on message.

An outlet for populist anger =p While Occupy was a waste of time (compare them to the Tea Party, for instance, which actually got people elected and forced the GOP even further hard-right) and had a wide mix of demands, it wasn't like BLM which had a major stated goal yet groups frequently went in completely different directions.

Just because they dress in the same colour doesn't make them from the same ideology. Since the Russian Revolution in 1917 loads of communist movements through out Europe used violence and intimidation. The Roter Frontkämpferbund in Germany for example. Even the antifa comes from that time. Both the MVSN and the SA was a reaction against all the communist violence.

It wasn't about anything but society's spontaneous lack of social cues and when you slap a screen in front of them, and suddenly everyone is having meltdowns over people they've never met.

Few things:

1) It showed how the reviewers were rather literally in bed with game companies

2) It was the culmination of much larger issues which had been simmering over a longer period of time including, among other things, ethics in video game journalism which was one of the focal points and tied directly to the initial controversy.
