It took me 6,5 hours, but...

I beat Aigaion on my 2nd try, and got all mission completed to boot!

Warrior of Light/Siren: Gigantaxe, Genji Shield, Grand Helm, Force Armor, Black Belt, Safety Bit (whoops), Bushido - Freedom, Mana's Blessing x2, HP +15%

The Great WoL himself. He tanks, he debuffs, he dispells, and even counters and generates LB Crystals and Evocation Orbs! Key abilities are Light Is With Us, Armor Breaker, and Bushido - Freedom

Tidus/Ramuh: Kiyomori, Icebrand, Survivor Helm, Assassin's Vest, Twenty-sided Die, Lucky Bangles, Dual Wield, Quick Assault, Spirit of Freedom, 1 empty slot (whoops again)

100% evasion Tidus to take the heat off of WoL and Tilith while he does what is needed at any given moment like a pinch hitter. Buffer, minor MP Battery, and Chainer. Key abilities are Get Pumped!, Blitz Mania, and Quick Hit.

Maxwell/Odin: Zodiac Spear, Crown of Justice, Carabini Mail, Ruler's Ring x2, MP +20% x2, Follower's Oath, Renewal

Goddess Maxwell the undying is Left Arm Trust bait of course. First phase anyway. After I no longer need to auto-revive, she's a minor chainer and Dispeller so WoL can reset the SPR Debuff immediately. Key abilities are Sacred Song, Fingersnap, and Rune

Tilith/Lakshmi: Whitebrim, Vestment of Mind, Soluna Ring, Elven Gloves, MP +20%, HP +15% x3

Goddess Tilith is absolutely the MVP no questions asked. Primary MP Battery and sole Healer, my party would be dead in the water without her. I've never been so thankful that I pulled her than I did now. Thank you RNGoddess! Key abilities are Celestial Light, Prism Heal and Radiant Light.

Rikku/Carbuncle: Override, Dragon Shield, Crown of Justice, Cupid's Robe, Jeweled Ring (triple whoops), Monarch's Ring, Mog Wisdom, Guardian's Authority, HP +15% x2

Had Tilith not been there, Rikku would have been MVP. Best support? HELL YEAH she's best support! Early on she helps as a Chainer, but after both Arms are down she's on full time support duty. Key abilities are Synthesis, Hyper Nul-all, Winter Storm, and her Limit Burst Hyper Mighty G.

Friend Fryevia/Ramuh: Main DPS and target of the chain. She only has one job: kill Aigaion and his ****ing Arms until they STAY dead. Key abilities are Frost Flower Blitz... and Evoke Ramuh. As it turns out I had her summon Ramuh instead of Tidus. Like, 3 times. I dunno why.

Vs Left Arm: WoL uses Bushido Freedom to get rid of the ATK/MAG Buff ASAP, keeps Armor Breaker up at all times (getting rid of the buff takes priority), and Light Is With Us when free. All the time he counters, hopefully to the Body. Tidus cycles Blitz Mania, Quick Hit, and Get Pumped!. Rikku cycles Synthesis, Hyper Nul-all, and Winter Storm. I timed it so that Tidus and Rikku's chain happens on the same turn. Maxwell spams Sacred Song until Left Arm is permanently dead and does nothing else at all. Sacred Song MUST be sung. Tilith starts the fight with Celestial Light then uses Prism Heal and Radiant Light as needed. Tidus picks up the Buffing duties after. Fryevia spams Frost Flower Blitz.

Vs Right Arm: Same except now Maxwell uses Fingersnap to get rid of the DEF buff and Rune for the ATK/MAG Buff, and normal attacks to Spark Chain. Tilith has to use Radiant Light more often thanks to double Genocide Beam. Fryevia Evokes Ramuh twice.

VS Armless Aigaion: Same except no need to Dispel, and Rikku no longer chains and instead starts using Hyper Mighty G. I didn't bother sealing World Destroyer and ate it with Rikku's LB instead. Fryevia Evokes Ramuh once. This is the real struggle as I have to rebuff after everybody dies... though WoL sometimes survives.

I'm so happy I'm crying man. Now to prep Firion!

... Yes, I used the Trust Moogle that I got from beating Aigaion to get a TMR that is most likely only useful against Aigaion.

Used 5 of those free ex summon tickets and got Lightning

Not bad but is there even a reason to use her anymore? Like does she do anything unique?

Apparently she's not so bad when a big Lightning element 130 ATK sword shows up.

Lightning is the easiest 100% evasion unit that can still dish out respectable damage thanks to innate Dual Wield and dodge magic attacks as well with her awakened Lightspeed.

Tidus can do it too, but his Ability Awakening isn't here yet and he doesn't nearly have as many equipment options as Lightning does.

Does her TM let you attack 8 times with Twin Lance + Dual Wield?

No, they don't stack. You can only attack 4 times max with Dual Wield and either her scarf or the Twin Lance, both won't get you 8.

Considering it's only for basic attacks, does that make her TM one of the least valuable 5* TM's?

I think it's actually closer to 5-5,5 hours though, since I had to do other stuff in the mean time and had to go back in and out frequently

So that makes you and Ganon with the brute force method, and me with the slow and steady method. Anybody else finish it too?

In other news, Mercedes is fully Ability awakened. Now though, I'm starting to wonder if I should use her instead of Firion as a finisher... apparently Pharm Part 1 has Equip Fists? Seems it's the best for a lot of units.

Anyway still farming Story Event for Crysts. Aiming to finish off Asagi 2, and maaaaaaaaaybe Asagi.

Either that or take a loss since RNGoddess craps on you the most when Lefty is still alive.

When the right man is the only one left you can at least do some planning even if units die as long as Rune is used often enough. (And too many stray hits don't hit a specific unit.)

The body itself was dull but predictable since damage gets reset as I didn't want to risk it.

If anyone here hasn't done the robot trial yet, I just put my Emperor up. He's pretty much unpotted, but he's at 816 Mag and has Camoflauge on. Using Shiva since Ramuh will put his water at a -20% weakness.

If you have Orlandeu and Tillith, go for DV.
If you have only tillith... ehhhhh, ayaka can be subbed by her.
If neither, go for Ayaka.

No Orlandeau, I have Tilith though. The only use I have for Orlandeau would be if I get Dark Veritas since I already have Fryevia and 2 Tidus. Fry is already in another league and Tidus will blow him away post enhancements (I personally think Tidus is already better because he has more use than just break/divine ruination, but a lot of people don't agree there).

Use all your NRG on the Story event and hoard Giancrysts.

If you can't stomach Stage 10, Stage 8 is easily autoed. Higher chance of Giancrysts dropping from Stage 10 though, especially if you use Xon (or multiple of them)

Well they drop crysts, so you can kinda grind those out.

Boss on the 3rd location drops Alcrysts and Milcrysts. Final boss drops Heavycrysts and a chance of dropping Giancrysts. Like... 50% chance of dropping them for Stage 7-8 or 66 (68?)% for Stage 9-10

The amount for the t1-2 is between 7-11, t3 is 3-4, and only 1 Giancryst drops. If it drops. Odd stages drop Black, White, Green, and Healing, while Even stages drop Power, Guard, Tech, and Support.

IF what you need is t1-2 crysts, the Vortex of Gems is better. If you have a Xon, even the t3 is better to be found in the Vortex. However, by far the best places to farm t4 crysts is in Story Events like right now. Like, clear winner. Only advantage King Mog has is guaranteed but limited supplies.
