I see on the FFBE Wiki, Dr. Cid has -50% Light resist, which is great news. Bad news is Famfrit has 100% Light resist.

Depending on the trial or content I might put Tidus up over Fryevia. Mine is nowhere near done though. All of my units prior to him were mag based so I hadn't got around to doing TMRs for physical units until now. Almost done with Aqua Blade, but that's going to Rem. Working on Deathbringer, Demon Scythe, Brotherhood x 2, and then I'll switch to Dark Knight's Soul and Dandelga. Need those elemental weapons!

With the help of an exceedingly generous friend carry to clear the Dark Espers, I have managed to get some boosts way, way earlier than I should have. Tidus is sitting at 600+ ATK, and that's with a crappy heavy blade. It may be somewhat temporary, but it's still a big gain for me at the moment. Now I feel like my friend unit will be almost up to par with everyone else. Almost.

All set up for Cid tomorrow. Going with WoL, Tidus with Icebrand, Fryevia, Tilith, and Rikku. Might swap Tidus out for something more defensive if needed. Was considering Marie, but Rikku takes care of a good portion of what she'd do anyway.

Friend Tidus/Diabolos Exact Same Tidus. I'm not kidding.

Kind of freaked out that there's a Tidus that's exactly the same as mine. Anyway, the fight is easy. Xon Twists of Fate Dr. Cid's ridiculously powerful defensive buffs while Twin Tidus buffs the party with Blitz Mania and Get Pumped Up, then proceeds to wreck Dr. Cid's day with Quick Hits. Zyrus meanwhile spams Blood Pulsar waiting for his LB to fill up. Tilith heals as needed. Xon chains when not Twist of Fate-ing

The second round starts off the same with me zeroing on Dr. Cid, though I must say his Cyclotrone HURTS! Famfrit on the other hand is pretty much just a statue throughout the fight, his Brinny Cannonade and Waterja completely blocked by Blitz Mania

Now back to farming Henne Mines

Or maybe I'll go do the Story Event to break the monotony

Cid trial is pretty easy. Didn't do all the missions in one go because I didn't think I'd be able to, but I probably should have.

Incredibly easy on the Cid trial. Didn't even lose anybody on my first run with 5 units.

WoL, super maneater Fryevia, Tilith, Rikku, friend Fryevia with Diablos. Even with Cid's elemental resistances he fell easily to a Frost Flower Blitz combo. His robot buddy fell even faster. To the story event, and then more TMRs!

also finally got that third dual wield. tried training dummy with 2x Orlandeau + Ace finisher and can get to around 6.6m damage in one combo, but I'm not sure I'm timing Ace's wildcard correctly yet

People died cause their attacks hurt like balls, but nothing I couldn't recover from.

Team was Freyvja/D.Fina ( cause screw you Cid and your ele resist)/WoL (le tank)/Tillith (le buff)/ and Y'sholta( le heals) with a friend Freyvja for the second run.

Yeah I was surprised seeing Dr. Cid's elemental resistance. 100% everything except 50% resistance to Light out of nowhere

Anyway all Raid Coins used up, just need to get rid of the 1400 units that are over my limit...

If Cid is 100% resistant, how are Frost Flower Blitzes killing him?

FFB imperils -50% ice, so after the first one, he'll start taking damage, even if it is reduced.

Same reason why Olive still murdered the last Type-0 grind boss; Raw power and you could still lower enough of its resistance. If Cid had 150% we would have been screwed outside enhanced Ace.

No. you can still get normal. Seemed like Great was ~50% of the time.

Wow, Tidus makes that Cid fight a joke. Sure he can hit hard, but Famfrit is just target practice by the end, and Rikku and Tilith are more than enough to stay healthy. I may need to redo the trial if I want the Mote and the Earth Resistance, but I'm not sure if it's really worth the tedium.

Let's see... assuming I don't get anymore 5*s (ugh), I'm planning for Tidus, WoL, Mercedes, and down the line Bartz. I think his awakened Life Giver ability might be key against Aigaion for me, but we'll see. I'm good for Tech and Guard for WoL and Tidus... done with Purecrysts for Support but I'll need to get 8 more Giancrysts for everybody but WoL. Power though... god damn this data for Tidus and Agrias has got to be wrong, why do you need 2 Purecrysts for both +1 and +2 for a total of 4? That's not how it worked out in Global for the others. In any case, Assuming I ignore Agrias's Full Break and Bartz's Wind Shear, I'll still need 7 more Power Purecrysts and 37 (!) Giancrysts, and I've already exhausted both supplies for the current King Mog.

Fryevia can also steal MP. Wish I would have known you could do the drain while helping my wife with the trial. Would have made it a lot easier and it wouldn't have come down to Tilith and Fryeiva, neither of which they could take down.
