Because I lived in Sheffield, home of the Lib-Dems, I got to meet their leader, Nick Clegg, the very instant his party was demolished. I was also able to meet Ed Miliband, head of Labour at the time, as he was in Doncaster, a nearby constituency. Both Labour and the Lib-Dems were hoping to work together and both flopped that night. Miliband bowed out the following morning.
