Sessions wouldn't answer Warner's question about whether or not he had discussed pardons with Trump.

Trump is definitely the type of person who'd ask someone to lie for him in exchange for the promise of a pardon. I don't know if Sessions would be stupid enough to take that offer, but I certainly trust him a lot less than Comey.

I've heard it batted around that timestamped (for lack of a better word) notes taken by an FBI Director are typically given a lot of weight when it comes to credibility, but I can't say for certain

Another thing is motive.

Sessions clearly has MUCH MORE motive to lie in this situation. I don't see what purpose Comey would have to be lying about Sessions' remarks (or lack thereof) in response to Trump's requests. That's a relatively minor detail from his allegations for everyone except Sessions.
