203. Max & Ruby

Seen: Hard to say, just a large jumble of it

Fuck Ruby. What an awful fucking person (rabbit). You have a fucking gem of a little brother, and you don't even appreciate it. Literally every single episode is just Max chilling and having fun doing his own thing, when Ruby fucking stomps in and ruins his fun because SHE had plans in this room or SHE'S got something to do that's so much more important and she just fucking treats Max like a piece of shit just for wanting to have fun and spend time with her but then of course Ruby's plans are ruined because she's an awful waste of a person and instead of accepting responsbility for her faults she blames everything on Max and then in the end even after all this emotional abuse Max STILL comes to the rescue and gives her his fucking truck or stuffed animal or some shit to solve her problem. Fuck Ruby.

202. Camp Lazlo

Seen: Hard to say, just a large jumble of it

So here's the first of the "early 2000s kid's show that tried to be one of the greats and didn't pull it off. Thing like My Gym Partner's a Monkey or Catscratch would fit this category, though they didn't make the list. Camp Lazlo tried to balance the line between annoying and funny in a way that made Spongebob popular, but that strategy is always a gamble, because if you lean just a bit too much on the annnoying side, it's hard to really enjoy the show. That was the issue with Camp Lazlo. Just too many bad jokes, annoying voices and unlikeable characters messing up what might've been a decent show.

Speaking of unlikeable characters, that was exactly the issue with Allen Gregory. I actually kind of enjoyed it's one season -- aspects of it, anyway. Jonah Hill is legitimately funny. But there is so much douchiness compressed into these characters that it's a little irredeemable in the end.

that's so raven didn't seem that bad to me, though i think i only saw the first 2 episodes of it? disney channel's part in my life plummeted around that time

i've seen a decent part of 2 seasons of big brother, and it's hilariously overproduced, but there's some legitimately cool alliance and betrayal stuff. that said, from what i've heard, S2 is considered one of the best seasons, so you've seen what there is to see, i guess

surprised that american idol is so low if you've seen that much of it and didn't think it was bad

Good list so far. All except Fear The Walking Dead are things I'd have towards the bottom were I to make a list like this.

FTWD is "ok." I actually like it better than TWD at this point-- keep in mind I say this as someone who thought TWD peaked in Season 1 and despite having improved since the pits of Season 2 has been sorta beating a dead horse for a while now. Actually quit it this most recent season cause yeah the longwinded promos from Papa Winchester were getting old.

Yeah figured that'd be best to avoid, which is part of why I left them it

That and because I didn't think it'd make for particularly interesting write-ups to just keep saying "I didn't like this show so I didn't watch it"

Like I could say the like 2 episodes I watched of Mulaney were painfully unfunny but like what more do I even say about that waste of a timeslot

Out of curiosity I decided to start making a list of shows I'd seen using your wikipedia method

These years all have like 100 new shows each jeez. I may still do it for curiosity's sake but it's quite an undertaking not to be underestimated.

I guess if I included anime I might be able to get to 211 actually. Not that I'm a huge anime nut (I kinda wish I had time to watch more) but it'd help.

I don't know that you'd be pissing people off so much as maybe not giving a very useful opinion, because 'know I would hate it' is different from 'saw and hated it.') Watching a TV show front to back practically by definition means you have to develop a relationship with it. That relationship is a big part of what makes it fun (for me) to read about people's opinions on TV shows (or anything, really!)

Plus, the landscape of TV is filled with shows that declined and shows that improved well beyond their first episodes, or even first seasons! Like, I don't even know how I'd rank a show like Maury or Judge Judy or Ricki Lake, each of which I've probably seen a complete episode of. I've seen more than a dozen SNL clips of drastically varying quality but never the show itself. Though obviously, fairness doesn't need to enter into consideration for your own list. I'd still read such a topic, of course!

Well I feel like most TV shows, particularly the more episodic types, you really don't need a comprehensive knowledge of the series to form an opinion that's worth reading. I mean I've seen every episode of Seinfeld and I don't think my opinion is all that much more worth reading than someone who's watched like 5 episodes. My write-up would probably be better of course since I could cite specific episodes moments etc as being cool or falling flat but as far as "feeling justified to rank it" why not.

Anyway for now I'm just following this one cause I think it's a cool idea. I may steal it later though. Particularly since I seem to actually be doing this wiki thing just to get an idea of how much TV 211 series really is and at that point it's like why wouldn't I make a topic.

200. KaBlam!

Seen: Hard to say, just a large jumble of it

Ok, so I remembered this show being just absolutely hilarious. The segments were all creatively bizarre and a blast to watch. Then, my girlfriend told me she had never seen KaBlam! so I course I declared "BUT YOU HAVE TO SEE KABLAM IT'S SO GOOD!" So we downloaded some episodes and rediscovered the show. And it was humiliating. I felt her silently judging me the whole way through the show, and as we watched an action figure get flushed down a toilet in realtime, my nostalgia of the show forever shattered.

Seen: Hard to say, just a large jumble of it

One of the funnier things about the show is honestly just seeing who was considered a "celebrity" back when it was airing. This is a show I mostly watched as a kid, and I specifically watched it because I knew I wasn't allowed to. Your enjoyment of the show is 100% tied to your unbridled hatred of minor 90s celebrities and how funny you think it is to watch gruesomely violent claymation. It was funny as a kid, considerably less so as an adult.

198. Lil' Bush

Seen: The first season, some of the second

I'll admit, I like the concept of this. However, this really should've been a short YouTube series, not a full television show. Something along the lines of CollegeHumor's "The Adventures of Kim Jong Un" would've made it a solid series. The real issue is how limited some of the appeal is. This type of humor is funniest while it's happening (which web shows can capitalize on better than most TV). On top of that, a considerable amount of the humor really just doesn't land.

197. Dave the Barbarian

Seen: First season

People tend to get up in arms when an animated show is cancelled before its prime. Still, sometimes they kind of deserve it. This falls into the category with shows like "Brandy and Mr. Whiskers" where not even nostalgia can really make them seem like good shows in hindsight. The recurring "joke" of the child character Fang being "NOT A MONKEY!" had to be one of the most irritating lines in a Disney Channel show. The show was a mishmash of a few stereotype personalities, lame catchphrases and okay animation that doesn't really stand out.

194. Totally Spies!

Seen: At least first season or so

Believe it or not, we're already out of the tier of shows I dislike. This was another one of my little sister's favorites, and while it's not my type of show, I can't say it's objectively bad. It's a sort of parody of things like James Bond and primarily Charlie's Angels, but the agents are all high school girls that love shopping and clothes and etc. It's sort of like Powerpuff Girls, only the girls are a little less distinct characters and the writing kind of falls short. However, I did get a kick out of it every time the girls got summoned to their next case in increasingly ridiculous ways (I recall one episode had Jerry suck them up through the hand dryer in a public bathroom).

Seen: At least first season

Ok so while this falls into the "this is one of my little sister's shows" category, I really don't look back on it negatively. She was in love with the show, and we kind of bonded over it a bit. She even owned the PC game (not the weird platformer, but like a point-and-click puzzle/adventure game; I'm actually having trouble finding it via Google) that I would help her out with. The show was even cute in a way, despite being fairly simple and childish; sort of like a less-horrifying Teletubbies (which luckily did not qualify for this list, because that's the last show I want to talk about). I guess a better comparison is Where The Wild Things Are, with the kids going off to the magical dragon land. Really not bad for its intended audience.

192. The Oblongs

Seen: The one season

Here's a show I exclusively watched as a teenager, late at night, when I was up late in my room trying to go to bed. I think that's the only time I could really appreciate this show, when it's late and I'm tired and everything is a little bit funnier. The bizarre animation and character design doesn't work for me anymore, but the parody of the gap between the upper and lower class (with everyone either being an insanely rich socialite or so poor they're deformed from living in radiation) is actually kind of clever in small doses.

191. My Life as a Teenage Robot

Seen: At least first season

Still trudging through shows under the category "ones my sister watched more than me," My Life as a Teenage Robot was one that mostly just fell under the radar to me. I remember watching a lot of it, but the show itself wasn't particularly memorable beyond the character of Jenny herself. Once you get past the basic premise, there's not a whole lot of standout humor here. I remember one episode in particular that was actually a little uncomfortable, when Jenny received the sense of touch, but could only experience phsyical contact through extreme tickling or extreme pain. I really just kind of watched it because it was on.

190. Hey Arnold!

Seen: Most of the series

Hey Arnold! is this low simply because, unfortunately, it didn't really hold up upon rewatch. It wasn't stunningly terrible like Angry Beavers, but just... not particularly funny when it was trying to be funny, and not entirely effective when trying to be sincere. Don't get me wrong, there's things I'll always really like about the show (such as Arnold's grandparents and Stoop Kid), Helga's on/off Arnold obsession got old pretty quick in my opinion, and quite a bit of the supporting cast was kind of grating. I certainly don't think negatively of it, but it's the type of show where, after going back to retry it, I wasn't tempted to watch more (unlike some others later on the list).

189. Animaniacs

Seen: A large jumble of it

I really do hate putting this so low. The characters were funny, some of the writing was iconically funny. But at the end of the day, the show was inconsistent. The tropes occasionally got old, the jokes couldn't always catch a nice balance between well-thought out and witty play-on-words and immature throwaway jokes. It's almost like it wanted EVERYBODY to be its audience, and props to show because it already all-but made it happen.
