Easiest way to use this for the sake of making videos for Youtube would probably be: - Install AviSynth - Grab the script I put up in this thread, edit the first couple lines so the files point at the audio and image files you want to use and the minutes/sections match the audio duration, then save that as vgmusicoftheday.avs or whatever. - Get VirtualDub or a derivative from somewhere (for example: http://sourceforge.net/projects/virtualdubmod/) - Open vgmusicoftheday.avs with VirtualDub. In the menu, go to Video -> Compression and select a video codec of your choice. (x264vfw for example). I like to leave the Audio uncompressed since the filesize won't be too big and that way your audio quality won't degrade in this step due to transcoding. - File -> Save as AVI. Wait a while for encoding, then upload the generated file.

VGMusic of the Day 366: Mega Man 2 - Dr. Wily Stage 1
Likely the most popular song in the entire Mega Man franchise, "Dr. Wily Stage 1" brings us back to the 8-bit days, when video games popularized the use of geometric waveforms in music. This style is referred to in present time as "chiptune".
At the same time, enjoy Hitoshi Ariga's rendition of Mega Man 2's smokin' hot Robot Masters. ;}
Hey guys, Kaleb just reminded me how much I miss those write-ups of your own when you started uploading songs in the beginning of the channel. I think you should go back to do that.

You mean like how for like 2-3 weeks all of us actually ranked every song of the week with ratings?

this is a shmup game I picked a song from and this song was one that didn't contain weird voices making grumbly sounds so I picked it and also I was really hungry for some pizza so I just had to pick something quick and that folder was already open and then I watched the baseball game

Kirby music is generally pretty enjoyable stuff. I haven't listened to the full soundtrack of Epic Yarn yet, and don't think I've heard this one before. Sounds pretty good and on par with the other stuff from it!

Credit to HGR for noticing this and finding the necessary proof!
According to Pikachu 025, the version of Silver Will that appeared in VGMC4 was an arrangement of the song Silver Will from Sora no Kiseki FC. HOWEVER, this is not the case at all. Just listen to this:
Sound familiar? That's a somewhat shorter version of the track that was retired. Yes, yes, it still says it's the "Super Arrange Ver." But if it's just an arranged version, explain these away:
***warning: Legend of Heroes VI spoilers in the following videos***
The song playing in the background there? That's the same song as the one in my first link.
The song that retired is simply an extended version of Silver Will from Sora no Kiseki SC, and there is precedent for extended versions being allowed.
tl;dr: The version of Silver Will that retired was fully eligible for the contest and Ed can stop losing sleep over it.

Yes, excellent upload. That is a song that I was actually considering nominating for this past VGMC. Angelo, Poets of the Fall works a lot with Remedy Entertainment, makers of Max Payne 1+2 and Alan Wake. They are both Finnish after all

"Anybody interested in grabbing a couple of burgers and hittin' the cemetery?" -Royal "Oh sure, walk to the sun"- Guybrush
The band Machinae Supremacy did all of the music for the original Jets'n'Guns. Amidst their great instrumental pieces, there is one vocal track that serves as BGM for a concert stage. At the end of the stage, the band even makes a cameo! I think it's a really neat track, and probably my favorite VGM song with vocals (Annika and Shimomura's "Song of Mana" is a close second though!).
One of my alternative choices was F-Zero GX's Captain Falcon's Theme, which would be a similar level of glorious, but that's actually a worse song if not for the "the ****" factor so I went with Eggman instead.
