ARGH!!! It's just that perfection is very tiring... (well, it's actually crushing, devastating, LIFE-DRAINING).
But hey, as I said earlier, I have 5 sections on my rating system:
The 5-Star Tier: 8.6 to 10 out of 10. The 4-Star Tier: 6.6 to 8.5 out of 10. The 3-Star Tier: 4.6 to 6.5 out of 10. The 2-Star Tier: 2.6 to 4.5 out of 10. The 1-Star Tier: 1.0 to 2.5 out of 10.
The most perfected "Tiers" I have so far are the 4 and 5-Star Tiers, which is excellent because they're the ones who have the most songs in them, whilst the 2-Star Tier is extremely unorganized and practically empty from what I have listened (thank God your overall tastes are GOOD). That said, it has become extremely easy to work on the 4-Star Tier because it's already settled down with a LOT of definitive songs, which create a margin in which I can accommodate songs WAY easier than in the rest of the "Tiers".
I wanted this to be done by the end of the VGMotD cycle year (September 9th), but I still have a long and rough road ahead, but with some more patience and hopefully a divine hand helping me, I could finish this project soon...

I'm not interested in any new music contests. Only reason I participate in the ones at GFF are for exposure to new music and because of tradition, and I'm probably not going to be doing them too much longer.
I'll be posting my Friday track in the afternoon or so.
From: TheKnightOfNee | #001Poll of the topic: What's your favorite song uploaded so far? (gotta start simple)
I have a bunch of favorites that I've gone back and listened to a *lot*, so have a list:
Day 288, Sim City 4- Wheels of Progress
I love the churning feeling that the song has, the little soft dissonant moments... I haven't played the game, but it portrays well what I assume is the sort of growing period of a city.
Day 173, We <3 Katamari- Baby Universe
As laid back as the song is, it fits wonderfully with the frantic running around that Katamari is. Pleasant to listen to, of course, but it clashes perfectly with the game.
Day 97, X- Tunnel Scene and Day 143, Pokemon Card TCG2- GR Duel & http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CYjYm5nhaMo It really impresses me that the Game Boy can churn out this kind of cool, sort of layered music; I love X's drive and the GR Duel's pseudo-rock. (Though the GR Leader's still the best GB song ever to me. <_<)
Day 93, Shadow of the Colossus- Battle With the Colossus
Sends shivers through my spine. I haven't played much of the game (it's rough around the edges with jaggies and a kind of painful framerate), but god DAMN does this song make the battles that much better.
Day 198, Cave Story- Moonsong
Hauntingly cool song. Between the song and the colors of the Outer Wall it makes for a really cold loneliness, especially with the sparse enemies in the area. Sets the mood well.
Day 19, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon- Primal Dialga
I swear, every time I hear this song I want to go play Mystery Dungeon, as much as I hate the game.
Day 96, Etrian Odyssey II- Cherry Tree Bridge
While people have a sort of dislike for MIDI sometimes, I particularly love it; when it creates something like this song, with a consistent sound, it creates such a distinctive atmosphere to a game. Can't say I've played any of the EO games, but I love the feel this song creates.
Definite favorite, though?
Day 124, Clannad- Town, Flow of Time, People
I'd heard of Clannad off and on again as one of the best things that anyone had ever played; while I was a fledgeling VN fan and had played Ever17 the year before and considered it one of the best things I'd ever played, I had indeed tried Clannad and failed, not really getting in the mood of its sense of humor and sort of odd art style. So I shelved the game, but then I listened to Town months later... And damn did I like what I was hearing. I decided to give the anime a try, and now? Now I think it's the best thing I've ever experienced, no exaggeration. I absolutely love the soundtrack to this game; I didn't listen to much else for a few months I was so hooked. Finally giving the game a shot only has me in love all over again.

I'd like to do another theme week soon (check the spreadsheet for when) and I figured it would just be more efficient to have everybody just send me ideas; I have a few myself, but more certainly couldn't hurt. I'll be away for the next few days, so if you want to just shoot me an email (everybody should still have my email), that works. Aww yeah theme weeks~
dont forget this you guyz

Want to listen to more video game music every day? Check out the VGMusicoftheDay Youtube Channel sometime!
If uploading later in a day is going to cause people (read: Angelo) to freak out, especially since I'm Pacific Time, we should agree upon a recommended time by which uploads should be done.
Actually it was Sony Vegas that screwed up. This one should be better though I think it still chopped a split second off the end. The song ends kinda abruptly as is, so I'm not gonna worry about it.
Sorry for all the trouble, guys. I'm gonna start preparing my videos in advance again. I thought I could get away with doing it on the fly, but it's better for me to quality check everything ahead of time. Also, I'll make sure to have my stuff up earlier in the day.
Here's the new link: VGMusic of the Day 359: BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger - Bullet Dance
So anyway, I don't know if I ever played this game. I barely ever touch fighting games. I love Ishiwatari's work though. This is a very energetic track!
dont remember if I asked you before but who was your favorite character?
*CLANNAD SPOILERS*
I think you did, but last time I said Akio, Tomoya, Nagisa and Tomoyo. Trying to narrow it down to one person now that I've watched it a second time... I guess I'd say Tomoya. Seeing someone willing to man up and grow to be a good father is damn touching, even if he's not perfect in the end.
Second would be Tomoyo, though. Can't wait for Tomoyo After to be translated.

Again, here's my avisynth script I use for making the Youtube videos. If you ask me, there's no graphical video editing software that can replace the precision avisynth in combination with AvsPmod gives, even if some effects take some trickery. There's excellent beginner's guides over at Something Awful's Let's Play Tech Support thread, but that subforum is closed to non-members right now.

Apparently Bonesaw is feminine, if the "la bonesaw" in the title is accurate.
Also, I'd like to thank people for taking the time to respond to the initial question in the topic. I've seen some surprising answers, and am encouraged to see people enjoying some out of the ordinary stuff as much as the expected favorites!

ONLY FIVE CAN LADDER. Sushi, kamikaze, fujiyama, nippon-ichi...
Being a little unorthodox today seeing as we had a song from this game a couple days ago, but I've had this song stuck in my head for a week so IT MUST BE POSTED.
I don't know what is with you guys, but you suddenly increased the quality of the songs by a HUGE margin this week. It's been one of the best weeks in VGMotD so far, I must say. What a way to end a whole year.
Can't wait for days 365 and 366!
