VGMusic of the Day 415: Dragon Valor - Brize Forest


I used to own this game. It was kinda cool back in the day, though there's nothing that really stands out other than the branching storyline which allows you to play as different descendants depending on choices you make. That and the music. Dragon Valor has some excellent compositions. The instrument samples have a distinctive sound you might either love or hate, and a lot of the boss themes could be better, but there's definitely a lot of upbeat epicness to be found in the music.

Pika, the site is working good so far. I have two suggestions:

1. Could you program in a field for the day number? (e.g. 415)

2. When sorting by uploader, could you have a secondary sort by date or day number? I'm looking at my uploads together in one group, but they're in random order.

These changes would be helpful and I would appreciate it.

re 1: Should be easy enough, I could probably even automate that by basing the day number off the date.
re 2: If you put your exact username into the search bar, you'll get all your uploads which you then can sort in any order you want. But sure, I can add a secondary sort by date when sorting by uploader as well.

Also: anyone know why we only have 421 uploads but it's saying that we have 423?

Check the list of uploaded videos. If there are any failed uploads, it'll still count them until we delete them. And even then, if there were deleted videos recently, it takes various youtube pages a ton of time to update, some can take days.

One time I deleted a failed upload from the list and it said we had an extra video for about three or four days before it disappeared.

VGMusic of the Day 422: PaRappa The Rapper 2 - Big


My favorite PaRappa track, mainly due to the sweet instrumental work. The part where PaRappa and Guru Ant get big and the strings come in... AWESOME.

One interesting bit of trivia: In the OST version he says "I am the lord," but in the NA version of the game it became "I am the man." Perhaps they thought it would be interpreted as a religious reference and decided to change it. The Hell references were removed from the NA version of UmJammer Lammy, so it wouldn't surprise me.

BTW, Pika, thanks for those site changes! The site works great and I think it's safe to say we can ditch the spreadsheet.

P.S. I've uploaded MP3s for all my past song selections.
