I'm fairly behind, so you could take this with a grain of salt, but DORCHADAS followed by Song of the Ancients / Fate. Maybe I'll try to fully catch up soon, but I wouldn't expect those to be overthrown, given they're two of (currently four) VGMusic I'd give a 10/10 to. Mind you, if you somehow made me try and rank those 4, those would be 3 and 4 respectively, most of the time, so it could be done.

VGMusic of the Day 352: Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal - Starship Phoenix


David Bergeaud and Niels Bye Nielsen have produced a great series of soundtracks for the Ratchet & Clank games. While my favorite soundtracks come from the 2nd and 4th games ("Going Commando" and "Deadlocked" respectively), the 3rd game ("Up Your Arsenal") has my 3rd favorite soundtrack. "Starship Phoenix" is one of the best themes in the series, and I felt it was a fitting introduction.

Yeah I'm honestly surprised it took so long for a Ratchet & Clank song to appear on our channel

I haven't listened to *every* song yet, so I may find a new favorite soon. I have a couple lists of VGM as part of my youtube profile and I mostly add songs of my own choosing that I remember and love, but sometimes I also add other tunes I hear along the way. The ones from VGMotD that I've added (explicitly from VGMotD) are:

#82 Paper Dolls
#167 The Neon Mines
#178 Beyond the Bounds
#243 Pepsiman

Out of those, I'd say Paper Dolls is my favorite.

Probably not the best song from that game/series (which is Silver Will I guess, although FUN FACT the popular version of that song is from the Arrange OST, the original in-game version being but everyone most likely knows that song. So Sophisticated Fight it is!

I like this song, just because it seems really unique among game soundtracks, don't think I've ever heard another battle theme quite like it.

Picking something from a game I played recently. The music in this game had a lot of detail in the atmosphere to it, and I chose something that really shows that.
