I wasn't reading it ONLY from espn, I was hearing it on NY sports radio and in the papers with quotes from theo saying he believed trades needed to be made because the team was injured.

I agree, it's smart, but lol... you guys have so much talent and you really aren't delivering. You definitely have a better team on paper than NY, and both have incurred terrible injuries and gone through two big slumps, yours early, ours mid season. There's no reason to need to make a big trade... where's your gaping hole? If Lackey actually performed, then once Lester/Buckholtz are perfectly healthy you have those 2 + healthy dynamite beckett... Your outfield is a bit flimsy, but not bad considering you paid 144+ for a speedster (lol)

your infield as long as pedroia comes back is dynamite, even jed is performing for you (as you thought he would... is he healthy?) and youk finally wokeup.

Catcher? I can't see what you need, Bard/Pap are a good duo

Not saying trades are bad, saying I don't see what you need to trade for. Also with how much your team costs, I don't see you guys spending big anytime soon or next season.

I never really understood the dual campaigns for the White Sox/Dodgers and Phillies/Tigers. I mean, I guess that maybe it would lead to the fanbases for both clubs to vote for both players, but I guess that I don't see that being a forgone conclusion

I am pretty sure that either yesterday or the day before, Walden, Angel's closer, was pegged to replace Mo. Who knows about A-Rod's replacement though since I can't think of a 3B that would deserve to be his replacement. Zobrist may be a good candidate since he's a utility guy
