wasn't it the bullpen that lost the lead anyway

unless they're just implying by being in the AL they need to pitch complete games every start to be considered the best

I forgot that some teams don't have four starters who can pitch complete games on a regular basis.

Complete games? If a starter can go 7 innings in the AL East it's a major success.

You do realize that most pitchers are in fact capable of going the distance right? Pitching is just handled differently in the AL

The Twins are currently 10 games back from the Tigers.

Pretty sure if they catch and pass us, I have to commit seppuku. Pretty sure it's a rule or something.

I didn't mean pitchers who are physically capable of pitching for nine innings.

And it's easier to pitch a complete game in the AL, what with the DH; it's not a coincidence that the AL has eleven more complete games with two fewer teams, even with a higher ERA than the NL. So I don't know what your point is. Did you think I was an Angels fan or something? My team is an NL team.

It's easier in the AL? It's easier in the NL if your team has a capable offense. Then you don't have to do all that inferior, boring shuffling of the entire team to get someone who knows how to swing a bat into the lineup. It's not always easier in the AL.

I wouldn't say it's easier for an AL pitcher to pitch a complete game

it's just that pitching a complete game is a lot more under their control, since they only really have to worry about getting pulled for pitch count, injury or just doing a terrible job in general

There's something funny about Yankee fans opposing pitchers hitting, given that their best player ever would have been a career pitcher in the DH-era.

Yeah let's see some f***ing evidence about this cheating. Sox are sure it happens so they roll two signs, haven't had a problem since. But they don't run around really complaining about it (they did when Cleveland was blatant about it like a decade ago).

During the Yankees' visit to Rogers Centre in mid-July, manager Joe Girardi suggested to reporters that the Blue Jays "could be" using devious means to acquire information from their AL East rivals.

"Sometimes we have inclinations that things might be happening at certain ballparks and we're aware of it and we try to protect our signs."

During the same visit, Yankees catcher Russell Martin of Montreal said he suspected Toronto was relaying information from second base to the batter.

From the outset of one game, Girardi had instructed Martin to give Yankees pitcher Freddy Garcia multiple signs, even with no one on base. The Blue Jays prevailed 7-1.
