Whose been the Pistons best player since they last won in the playoffs? Have any of their high draft picks hit? I'm struggling to think of someone though maybe there's an obvious name I'm forgetting.

Monroe? Stuckey? Theyve had some decent second/third options but not really anyone that really stepped up as a top guy. Jury is out on the current guys.

Feels good to see how the Magic are playing. The defense are just putting every team they play in hell, there's no easy points or breaks. Just all action all the time. Number 1 defense in the league and it's very easy to see why

Jalen Suggs may possibly be the best defensive guard in the league already. He's definitely in the top 3. He's absolute chaos.

We are definitely easier to stop on offense since our 3 point shooting is woeful but seems last few games we have just found ways to pummel teams in the paint even without the spacing from outside shooting. We are 10-5 and we should probably be 12-3 or 13-2. Some games we threw away absolute massive leads and choked in the 4th. Learning curve for such a young team.

Another big win. No Embiid, but whatever. I feel like with every game we win there's always some sort of "but ___ ". Maxey has been fantastic, and we stifled him essentially. Still leading the league in defensive. I'm a bit concerned with McDaniels hurt... his stats may not show it, but I think he's really important to the chemistry of our team and one of our best defenders. But, I think NAW is decent and everyone on the starting lineup has been playing really strong defensive all season. Gobert has to be considered for DPOY.

Looks like he has slept with a 16-17 year old (HS junior so I think that's the age range?). He just turned 21 last month. Australia is similar to England with a legal age of 16 and drinking age of 18. So I can see why he may have thought it would be fine.

Age of consent in Oklahoma is 16, assuming this is in Oklahoma. Most of the US is 16 or 17, not sure why people think it's 18. That's just for porn.

Yeah I'm not disagreeing, but let's assume she's 17 and he just turned 21. That's not really that bad, at least in my opinion. Regardless of the ethics of it, I feel like unless she's 15 he didn't break any laws.

I said something similar in Twitter group chats and was basically eaten alive for it. I'm English so grew up with the age being 16 and when I was in school, a ton of girls who were 16 dated guys who were like 18-22. It was normal

I get that it may be illegal depending on where it happened (apparently California so 18 consent age) but Giddey just turned 21 last month. If she's 17 is that really that bad in the grand scheme of things? When I got with my first wife I was 21 and she had turned 18 like 2 months earlier. Like if he was 23 or something sure but 20 to 17 isn't that big a difference (I assume this happened a bit ago from the screenshots)

Now what may make it sketchier for Giddey is apparently he became friends with her when she was 15. He was 19 at the time people said.

imo if you were in high school at the same time it's not creepy. I briefly dated a sophomore as a senior and the age gap would have ended up being 21-17 for like a week before she turned 18 (I think she skipped a grade at some point or something), and a lot of senior-freshman relationships would end up there down the road. Of course, meeting when you're both in high school and meeting when one person is in their 20s is different, but I don't think it's that big of a deal

Also always hilarious on Twitter after every game when other teams fans accuse the Magic of playing the game against them like it's the NBA finals. They think they are special but the reality is the Magic play every game like that regardless of opposition. They're just going to be a miserable team to play against for most teams even if they beat the Magic

Yeah, I feel like teams like the Magic and the Wolves (and probably several others that aren't routinely any good) play differently from these bigger teams. I see a lot of stars sitting out just to rest so far this season, seems to be especially common against us for whatever reason. Yet our stars have yet to sit out at all, even during that grueling 3 games in 4 days on the road span.

Also at no point did I think we would have double digit wins at this point. With our schedule (West Coast road trip plus several top teams like Bucks, Celtics, Nuggets, Mavs and a Mexico City 'home' game) I said 7-9 at this point would be a success.

9-7 was the optimistic best case scenario projection in my head. 11-5 is crazy

Bucks just completed the largest comeback in the NBA so far this season after trailing by 26 points to the Trailblazers in the 3rd quarter. This was Dame's first game against his former team.

Bucks have to stop making every game exciting.

I'd have preferred not losing that game at home to the Kings, but at least we bounced back. Granted it was against one of the worst teams in the league, but you have to win those games and sometimes we have a history of not doing that.

Still a chance at the tournament; can still possibly even win the group if the Warriors can beat the Kings and we have the tiebreaker margin.

It's hilarious but I can't really abide by all the blame on Monty he does. The Pistons are atrocious but I don't think it's the coach. He can only do so much, he can't force the players to play or do it for them. Coaches already have it rough, I don't think they need anymore dogpiling because at the end of the day, they're the only ones that can get fired.

Pistons just aren't very talented. Cunningham is their best player, but his efficiency is horrible. 22.2 pts per game? Solid, 40% fg, is yikes. Ausar looks solid, and a good young duo combined, but it's probably gonna be a long rebuild.

I think they're fine talent-wise, the problem is they all have the same weakness which is that they can't shoot. And when no one can shoot it gets even harder for everyone to shoot. Bojan coming back should at least help some.
