I mean, we've been wrong about diets all the time. If we all truly understood it, then diet and zero calorie drinks and foods would actually work.
In fact, I see a lot of people who try to cut this and that from their diet as the ones as the least healthy. They're looking for magic but can't control their moderation.

Generally, wheat bread since it has a better flavor and is healthier. But if it's between white bread and white bread in brown face (like most mass produced wheat breads), I'll choose white bread for certain foods.

"Wheat" bread is one of those things like "juice" where you have to pay close attention to the wording and ingredient list.

Most bread is made with wheat flour, so technically it's all "wheat" bread, even if it's just white flour and food coloring. Even "whole wheat" just means it contains a non-zero quantity of whole wheat flour. If it doesn't say "100% whole wheat", it probably isn't. And "multigrain" doesn't necessarily mean 100% whole grain, either.

Almost all commercial mass-produced pumpernickel is made with food coloring as well. The real thing is baked for over 16 to 24 hours which caramelizes the sugars in the rye, turning it dark brown.

Yes. This. Otherwise I prefer white bread. But daves killer bread actually makes a wheat bread I love. Ive learned since growing up ita really just the crust of wheat bread that makes me hate it guess daves having all those seeds make me not taste it.

The food pyramid we were all taught in school was basically upside-down to the way it should be. We evolved on a hunter-gatherers diet, and only in recent times did we really deviate from that. Add to that the chemicals and preservatives in modern foods and...ugh.

Notice how bread doesn't rot for well upwards of a week? That's not natural.

Look at how people ate, even 50-60 years ago. Lard, butter, eggs, cream, real sugar, etc but they didn't have massive heart disease rates and cancers. We didn't have a kid in every class with a fatal food allergy. Monocrops, factory farming, depleted nutrients in the soils, chemical additives, and bee die-offs and fucking Monsanto is going to kill us way before global warming even gets a crack at it.

I didn't know that we were supposed to eat sugar. Also meat if it's kept cool isn't going to rot that fast either. Neither is dairy. Also lol at the Monsanto comment. There is nothing wrong with GMOs.

Apparently most mainland Europeans don't refrigerate their eggs. That's because in the US they wash eggs with disinfectant to kill any Salmonella bacteria on the shells, but this removes a thin outer protective layer from the egg, which means they must be refrigerated from then on to prevent any remaining bacteria from penetrating the shell. In most of Europe they vaccinate chickens against Salmonella so they never get infected in the first place so they don't need to wash the eggs. With the outer cuticle intact, the eggs don't require refrigeration.

Refrigerated eggs will last longer, but they will also soak up odors from the fridge and cold eggs don't work as well in certain baked goods.
