Your good time at Idlewild should endanger everyone else who attends just because you say you have a disability? It's one thing to say hey, I need to shop for groceries and medical supplies, but I have a condition where I can't wear a mask. Then I do have some sympathy, but there are delivery services to get around that. But a theme park, on the first day they open no less, you roll up with this claim and then want to play the victim? There's just no excuse for it, whether the disabilities were real or not. It's selfish and something only bad people do, thus the call out from whoever initially did and me basically agreeing with that person. I've seen countless videos online of people with asthma and other serious medical conditions wearing masks, and imploring that other people wear masks despite their medical reasons not to. The reason no one with a brain respects these con-artists is because of the evidence they are mostly just that, con-artists. There are so many videos with these Karen-level meltdowns due to masks and people claiming they can't wear them, and their reasoning and behavior are clearly that of a delusional person. Again, sure there are people out there that maybe can't wear a mask in public (though again, people with serious breathing problems have videos online proving you CAN) but if you are such a person, you shouldn't be as selfish to think everyone should be put at risk so you can ride the rollercoaster.

Frankly, you know this is impossible. I realize you belong to "the other side", as much as I don't want to really refer to things that way, Trump and really most of his party sans a few sane ones have made this very political in nature. Not just that, but you've got some hardcore right-wingers in this topic claiming lockdowns are aimed at social groups. It's impossible not to have things be political on this front, even if you'd think otherwise since this issue should go beyond party lines and in an ideal world, people could put aside ideologies about the economy and religion to fight something as one. Unfortunately that doesn't happen, because the president and his daughter hock beans in the white house and the rabble complain about women's soccer being allowed to operate.

I apologize if it personally offends you, but at some point evil has to be called out for being evil and the proper parties have to be identified.

The problem with his theory is that for some reason he believes the lockdowns are targeted at the fans of NCAAF for some reason. Like I can't grasp what he believes there is to gain there since most people who like college football also like some other sport(s) as well.

The majority of college football athletes are young black men so I'm not sure how he wants to spin the narrative since, in theory, the only people "hurt" by the lockdown are those black men. Not these "southern conservatives".

Fair enough. I think about it like I do climate change/global warming. Sure, individual people shouldn't litter, blah blah blah. But individuals are not the cause of climate change. And just because one person or even a sizable number of people start to turn off their lights and recycle, that isn't going to solve the problem. It has to come from the top down.

It's still always up to society to start believing it's actually right and not having to be told it is. Unfortunately, in this country especially, if you tell people to do something for the greater good they immediately do the exact opposite so they can exercise their "freedom" while lambasting an oppressive government. I'd rather the top just make the right decisions, tell people what to do, and have those people do the right thing. But logically it isn't very feasible, especially here in 'murica.

Personal attacks on people not wearing masks is a displacement of anger that should be reserved for the government.

If you want to feel that way, that's fine. That's not how I operate though. Every person is accountable is my philosophy. Change starts on the individual level; real change that's going to be lasting. People have to want the world to be a better place, not have the government tell them that's the right way. It goes that way for this virus, global warming, pollution, racism, etc. Anything really. If people on the individual levels aren't changing for the better, I hold them accountable and part of the problem.

It's not "under control" if it requires a near-total shutdown of a huge portion of your economy literally indefinitely.

It is not sustainable for New Zealand to have approximately zero international tourism.

Quite frankly, if people like you would stop denying this is a serious issue and do what the hell you're supposed to do like New Zealand, they wouldn't have to close international travel for very long.
