I used to love the mcu but it sucked that they killed Marvel's 2 only ever good cartoons in the process. Spectacular Spiderman and greg weismann were once again wronged by a combination of factors outside of their control like the Disney buyout of Marvel. And Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes got somewhat worse in season 2 and it was clear they wanted to axe the show in favor of another, weaker show. Same thing happened with spiderman

Since it's on netflix I wish I could convince more people to watch spectacular spiderman, this was a show I was completely surprised by

Definitely not, the remakes where the only time I was able to beat Crash 1 and get all colored gems in Crash 3. I'd never bothered to do either before and my recent playthrough of the ps1 trilogy was in 2016.

I remember the sliding a bit but got used to it. I can imagine it would bother me if I ever opted for all gems and relics but I just do the levels I like

I'll be honest I kinda felt like the trilogy got weaker with every movie. Not by a lot, just a teensy bit.

I loved the first movie from the reboot trilogy, I cannot state that enough. Rise was something special, both at the time and now with the current climate. The relationship between Caesar and James Franco and John Lithgow was the best thing and I rewatch the movie every time for that.

Dawn and its reverse Lion King similarity was great too, in its own way. Very different from the first movie but still great, it's just not what I loved about Rise even though it's the natural evolution of the series. But I'm not a fan of the actor jason clarke, something about him screams "discount action movie star" like sam worthington before him. Gary Oldman was the saving grace from the human side of characters.

And then I finally saw War during the pandemic. I was hyped for years prior to its release and couldn't understand how there wasn't long lasting discussion about it even at the time, and then I watched it and went "oh, that's why". 2017 was a weird year with the whole "let's do The Road again but with a twist, be it scifi or fantasy comic books" and Logan did it much better. Heck it was a bit sloppier and also more generic in several ways, what with it also being a The Last Castle knockoff. Oh and redoing the first movie of "being trapped someplace" as well only way worse. They didn't have to deliver on an actual "war" for me to like the movie, but what we got was still subpar.

So my expectations are measured. I mean Caesar is the whole reason to watch the movies anyway, Andy Serkis deserved an Oscar or just wider recognition for what he brought to the trilogy.

How are you preparing them. Also it's probably the fiber. Initially when I was eating beans years ago my body was getting used to them and making distinctive flatulence smell. After a while my body and stool becomes completely regular once you're accustomed to the fiber content

Is cult following the right term Wikipedia? It's a massively successful game, of course it would have a large dedicated fanbase that would explore and expand on every inch of that game. Cult following seems usually reserved for less successful media that developed popularity through word-of-mouth more than anything else

Ah the banshee... that's a whole other story. It was still pretty good in San Andreas especially with all the modding options, but GTA 3 was something special.

As the first sports car in the first area in the very beginning of the game, I'm pretty sure it was a ton of gamers first fast car, especially if like us they never really made it that far in the game initially and just messed around in the first area. Finding that banshee in the dealership window was everyone's first "oh check it out!" moment

That's fine, Psychonauts 2 came out which is more important since Psychonauts 1 was amazing and felt more like a complete game than BGE (which I actually kind of liked flaws and all)

So that's why the art and coloring looks so good! I'm not much of a comic fan or reader but I instantly know that name from the DCAU comics like The Batman Adventures and Superman Adventures. Only Comic book series I ever bothered reading and loving because they looked exactly like the show, it was like reading and watching an actual episode

In GTA 3 Infernus was the last fast car that you would only find in the final area, rarely in the 2nd. It was so cool because it was rare and that glossy finish and the spoiler because spoilers to cars are like capes to superheroes.

But then Vice City came out and Infernus design was completely different. That's fine, it was the 80s. But then the same thing happened in San Andreas. And it seems like moving forward, they completely revamped the Infernus design for the new GTAs and the way it looked in GTA 3 is no longer the look of the car

Lol I invaded the altruist camp (what is this area referencing?) by jumping over the fence and they've got a rocket launcher and body armor! Had to kill a couple waves of those crazy cultists but got me a few rocket launchers which will be helpful for later missions I'm betting.

Seriously. The one good thing about the modern era (in addition to everything else) is the expansion of what constituted "conventional beauty" by white America into women of all shapes and sizes. No longer just idolizing that weird blown out hair look but also curly hair. Shapely figures not just stick figures. etc. Not saying one or the other is better, but they're both attractive and movies/shows/media for the longest time only acknowledging one as beautiful was pretty ridiculous even for its time, never mind through the lens of 20-30 years and beyond

Huh no more ambulance missions and firetruck missions. It's fine, I only used to do them for the increased health and being fireproof, which is not how this post gen 6 game is designed around.

There was going to be a single player DLC expansion but It got canceled in favor of more GTA Online updates. Rockstar doesnt care about the singleplayer mode anymore.

That's a shame. I have heard throughout the past 10ish years that GTA online is popular and even has people spending real money for in-game money. I never really cared for anything online related. For one thing the shooting is the worst part, has never been why I play GTA. It's just part of the experience of driving around, exploring the city, doing missions and stuff for the story and overall experiencing the game.

How the hell do you get money from Trevor's airstrip trafficking business? I get emails that my property generated money, but it hasn't been added to my funds at all

I wonder if it's a conscious decision to not have healing items and loot+craft system in GTA. They put those things in RDR, but even though there are animals in GTA 5 they don't have any drops (which I'm fine with of course) nor healing items (which I would have liked)

one of my favorite parts of uncharted is the banter between nate and elena

when i hear the original plans for uncharted 4 i get sad they didnt happen
like elena would have been involved in the adventure from the start
and there would have been a playable sully and elena part of the game where control shifts between nate, sully and elena so they could all pull off the auction heist together

instead elena isnt there and you only play as drake there.

I like Elena's character model in 1 and especially 2, she had a Pam thing going on, like a blond Jenna Fischer. The banter is the best part.

But 4 is about the relationship of the brothers so I get not including her as much although I wouldn't mind the game being longer for more scenes with her.

It's nice that when you pull up the weapon wheel you can switch between the different weapon tiers which means you can use any type of pistol or shotgun on the fly, you don't have to choose either/or. A surprisingly convenient addition from the post ps2 gta games.

Yeah I really liked it, very surprised about that. Also got it for free so that helps. I think this time they included more exploring/pseudo-platforming and puzzles right? Because exploring the environments was definitely nice. I don't remember the first 3 much or if 4 introducing a brother contradicts 3's intro somehow, but I thought the concept of a brother was good too.

Michael's special ability is he can slow down time during a fire fight. It's not as useful as the other two so I never used it very often

Yea the character controls are pretty clunky. It's why I couldn't get into Online. Trying to play missions that require precision when your character moves like a tank is awful

I must have missed that, maybe I should replay the game rather than pick up where I left off a year ago. I'll try to see if it'll activate during a shootout.

I really hate the new aiming too. I can't fathom how anyone doesn't prefer and love GTA San Andreas's large aiming reticule that A) can actually be seen, not a tiny circle with a dot in the middle that you have to keep your eye on and B) shows the HP of enemies and changes color from green to yellow to red so you know they're about to die.
