I mean, the show always made a point of saying/showing it as creepy so I always disregarded it since the characters themselves say it, but now I realize wait, Jeff was a 40 year old man making out with a (show-wise, not actress wise since she was already 26 at the time) 19 year old girl, and that age gap is pretty huge. He has like 15-20 years on Annie.

Hell even Jeff and Britta aren't really age appropriate. He has at least 10 years on Britta.

He's good looking which makes it ok of course but it's just one of those things that you don't really think about while watching the show's wacky paintball hijinx and chicken finger goodfellas.

After all we have the male parts, so we want something that's breezy so they can dangle instead of being constricted inside a pair of pants. Women on the other hand have no such dangly bits so they're in the clear.

Weird how we got it the other way around.

Yeah I'm a little bummed because it sounds like they aren't bringing back the Final Fantasy characters in Kingdom Hearts 3.

This is so weird to me, like theyre really not even gonna bring back Squall and Yuffie, who clearly were connected to Sora and the gang? Or not even the classic Cloud/Sephiroth stuff?

Yeah I hope we are wrong but from trailers and everything else I've heard they haven't been seen yet.

They apparently said that the series doesn't really need Final Fantasy characters anymore and stands on own, which while true doesnt mean they shouldn't be there.

I picked up the series in the first place in 2002 because of the Final Fantasy aspect and I loved the series but it would be a shame for them to totally drop that aspect.

Even though FF 7's heyday is long since over, it's weird to think that maybe they won't bring back Sephiroth who has been kind of a tradition boss at this point. But will all the crap KH has, maybe there's just no more room for final fantasy anymore. After all, the ff series had already all but ended when kh 2 came out (what with 12 being the last game in the series, released that same year)

So it's not that surprising that the ff part of the series is gone. Heck the Disney part was already fading with all that stupid shit nomura poured into the story. I thought bbs was bad with the annoying new characters that were made the crux of the plot but ddd's time travel and xehanort bs made it seem actually good by comparison smh.

I'm not sure I like short story idea in movies, a really old concept from the days when movies were called "picture shows" which is archaic at this point. I mean I didn't like that grindhouse idea of tarantino and rodriguez.

Also coen brothers have a very specific comedy style that either works and is really fun or is just grating. It's a very fine line in their movies.

But I love zoe kazan so

A last generation console would mean something like ps3, which looks fine considering there's like 0 jump between ps4 and ps3, this gen and last gen, besides the fact that this gen has all the bad stuff of last gen times a million. But besides that I don't see how being last gen is a bad thing. Hell if it didn't have online (the bane of the video game industry, bring literally no good and all bad with dlc and micro whatevers and crap) it would be a perfect video game console (instead of that "multimedia entertainment system" crap the other two are doing)

And isn't the Switch basically just the Wii? It seems to be following the exact same pattern; huge initial success with lots of people buying it, Nintendo releasing all their heavy hitting first party titles within the first year like marios and zeldas and smash, etc. Only time will tell if it will have anything even resembling 3rd party support, be it ports or otherwise.

And I was moderately excited for the idea of trying a grandia 2 update on switch, having only played the just ok first one.

Really? If anything I thought Auron's cameo was really underutilized and kind of a waste in KH 2, much as I love him. What about playing FF 10 made you think that was a nice way to introduce Auron by the by?

Becuase he's an Unsent who Hades pulled out of the Underworld, so his KH arc actually ties into his FFX arc. Prior to this, the closest tie to their source material that the FF characters had was that Tidus and Wakka...um, spent some time on a beach in their game?

Ah you mean the fact that he's already dead... yeah I guess that is the closest to being tied to their character in the actual final fantasy game they're from.

It's not even just that he's already dead, it's heavily implied to happen after the events of FFX, with Hades pulling his soul from the underworld.

All the other FF characters are pretty clearly not the same characters as in the FF games as they're all from Radiant Garden. Auron is the same Auron.

I mean, they weren't gonna deage auron like they did with tidus and wakka because Auron's whole appeal is his bushido samurai vibe, so it would make sense that they left him as is without alterations. I don't know if that necessarily means it's after the events of ff 10. Though when Sora and co pick up his voodoo doll there were these voices that may have been lines from the game, though it's been way too long for me to remember.

Speaking of, for those that grew up watching Dumbo, any of you ever feel like the movie is super depressing? I mean jesus christ do you remember what happens in the movie, dumbo is the movie's punching bag; he's snatched from his mother, constantly abused and made fun of, and being able to fly at the end doesn't seem like much of a reward for all the awful stuff he goes through. I literally just teared up watching that scene in the movie where he goes to his mother in the cage. Christ it's heart-wrenching V__V

The reviews are glowing and rt has a high rating and everyone on reddit loves it.

But I'm halfway through the show and I gotta say... I don't like it much. It's got some alright acting, seems well produced.... but the story felt aimless for a while and even now that it seems to be heading in a direction of "try to take down the bad guys" it's still uninteresting. I don't know how to explain what it is about the show.

Yeah anything is better than the turd pile that was Unity, but I'm someone who was fine with the counter = instakill method of the old AC games since again, I like everything else about them but feel like combat is a chore.

And the more I play it the more I think I might legitimately enjoy this, unless something happens. The grappling hook is definitely nice and the small annoyances here and there haven't made me hate the gameplay yet.

There are some important present day story connections at the end of Syndicate. I know most people don't care about that though.

People always seem to assume it's story, but I just like seeing the progression of a how a game series has improved (or devolved in AC's case from black flag to unity)

Combat in Unity was probably the worst part, but I never like combat in general and just enjoy the parkour and climbing, same with prince of persia (whose combat was also detestable, especially in the second one)

Then again people play different series for different reasons. Oh but another thing that makes Unity the worst AC of all (besides all the other stuff) is the fact that it's just so disappointing. It has one of the best settings you could make a game out of: The French Revolution, Paris and its gothic architecture, the rise of Napoleon... and it completely squanders it all. It somehow feels both short and tedious at the same time, a very odd combination.

Unity was hot garbage, and that's pretty much why I am liking Syndicate by comparison, because Unity lowered my standards so much.

I'm basically playing through them to get to AC Origins, which I'm pretty psyched about and hope is good, what with it actually being set in Ancient Egypt, a setting we've been talking about wanting since AC 2, if not the first game.

I'm charmed by Evie Frye, she's a real cutie. I didn't think I'd play as her much, thought I'd prefer exclusively Jacob but I'm liking Evie more than him even gameplay wise.

The grappling hook is definitely sorely needed to offset the annoying inability to leap off buildings.

Overall, I've noticed it's kind of like a poor man's Arkham game, a very poor man, with its combat trying to emulate Arkham and paling in comparison to it, as well as the grappling hook being so obviously Batman's batgrapple.

And I still like the game despite that, even with London as a setting.

It wasn't a badass ensemble movie though, it was so disappointing. I made my peace long ago that we weren't gonna have some epic movie with all the marvel characters onscreen at one time, and I was fine with that.

But the movie just ultimately disappoints with its lotr-esque plot. Search for macguffins, split party members, giant stupid battle in a field that makes you disinterested because it's just bodies clashing into each other.

The actual interactions, what little there were, happened to be pretty good. I enjoyed Thor and Guardians. I liked the Thanos battle with all the dudes. I definitely didn't care for the Wakanda siege. One on one battles are always so much better than just giant army like fight scenes.
