I was hoping they would have patched it at some point

It was a real shock for me because I'd just finished playing uncharted 4 and it has the PS1 version embedded in it and then I played the remake and I was like "ok no this definitely isn't supposed to be like this"

it's not the boxes, it's crash's capsule-shaped hitbox. in the originals it's box-shaped, so you land more cleanly and precisely. in the remakes, you can straight up slide off ledges. that was never supposed to be possible. it's the most evident when you're trying to run along the ropes on the bridge levels

not when it comes to getting all the gems in Crash 1. they all have to be gotten without dying because checkpoints don't save crates you break

Definitely not, the remakes where the only time I was able to beat Crash 1 and get all colored gems in Crash 3. I'd never bothered to do either before and my recent playthrough of the ps1 trilogy was in 2016.

I remember the sliding a bit but got used to it. I can imagine it would bother me if I ever opted for all gems and relics but I just do the levels I like

What about Es in BBTAG? Her hurtbox (blue boxes) extends past her sword's hitbox, which means that you can smack her sword and she gets hit <_<
