I for one like the human actors they've had in these movies, and in godzilla vs kong 1 I was really happy to see rebecca hall and alexander skarsgard. However, I don't care for the stranger things girl I don't really see why the critics or even audience love her. Hope she's not in godzilla vs kong 2.

Unironically thought Kong: Skull Island was good. Godzilla 2019 was kinda disappointing in that felt like they blew their load too soon introducing King Ghidorah the 3-headed dragon when I thought he was basically Godzilla's ultimate nemesis. Still fun popcorn movie.

godzilla vs kong 1 was just so dumb that throughout it I was like "yeah sure, that may as well happen" and I was fine with it.

It's interesting how similar the design is to BTAS Robin. Just another thing Batman Returns influenced. Always loved that design, a perfect blend of the red, green, yellow and black. Still the best one to date.

There was a Smallville "Season 11" comic book? What more could they write about. The 10th season was pretty damn final. They literally had him fighting all his villains, left nothing else, and resurrected Lex Luthor like 5 times in those 10 seasons, even bringing back Michael Rosenbaum

Reminds me of when I used to read novelizations of TV shows in my teens.

Also I just started so no spoilers but it would be hilarious if Larry David, defiant to the end, has Curb end the same way that Seinfeld ends with him going to prison, in a show of insistence that yes, the Seinfeld finale is good (which is a common running joke in the show)

Gotta say I'm surprised they kept that annoying old woman for this season with Larry, think she's played by tracy ulman. I only know her as the name of the show that first featured The Simpsons.

I must be the only person who didn't actively dislike Xenosaga 2. Oh there were some things I thought were jarring, like the sudden change in art style especially for Shion (not to mention the weird personality shift) among many things I didn't like about the game. But once I learned how to juggle enemies the battle system became super easy and fun. It's the same strategy every time and I'm fine with it.

Plus since I really liked Jr I was into the whole Rubido-Albedo backstory, facility experimenting on superpowered kids and how they break out etc.

That does raise a question tc how exactly do you deal with the Xenosaga 2 portion of the game where you only play as Shion?

It's everything I wanted and more. I have one more theory about a certain character but I'm gonna keep it close to my chest in case it's wrong/way off.

This is easily one of the greatest sequels of all time.

I don't even know what to be excited about first/most, seeing Neku again or the fact that I now have 6 party members! I'm going to destroy anything in my path, there is no way any Noise stands a chance against me. I don't have Ultimate difficulty yet, but when I do eventually get it I feel confident I can take them on, to get them pins so I can complete my Bestiary and 100% Records.

It's set in the Tim Burton Batman movie universe, and is supposed to be the sequel to what the movies after Batman Returns would have been, like having Billy Dee Williams Harvey Dent becoming Two-Face. And what happened to Catwoman.

Week 3 Day 4: OMG OMG OMG It's Neku it's him!!!!!!!

Was screaming in delight for like 5 minutes, it's him it's really him!!!!!!!!!!!

We were fighting Sho who went psycho and absorbed some energy to transform into this badass looking beast, like good god talk about difficulty ramping up. Beat was trying to hold him off so we could escape. And just when Monster Sho was about to deliver the killing blow, in a flash of light Neku stops him with one hand and destroys him! Oh my god this was beyond hype.

I mean yeah, Richard Lewis has basically looked like a phantasm in the past few seasons, but this time the jokes they make finally stuck.

Catching up on season 12 now. There's a scene about Richard Lewis leaving Larry in his will, and asking for him to do vice versa, and then they were arguing on who would die first and betting on who would outlive the other. For that to come up so soon after his passing is sad.

Something I been thinking about, does Sho remind anyone else of Greedo from Fullmetal Alchemist? You've got the heroes, the villains, and then this 3rd party who's not quite with either group and is doing his own thing, usually to get more power or to usurp the current villains or something to that effect. I always like the whole "3rd faction that's causing chaos and screwing with the villains' plans as much as the heroes' plans" trope.

I swear I'm going to freak if on the last day there's a scene where Shibuya's about to to be destroyed by that giant meteor as Rindo looks on in despair, and at the last second who should show up but Neku to stop it with an epic blast. Don't think I could contain myself

I do think it's weird that enemies drop better pins on Easy than they do on Hard. Or at least, better for me. You'd think the higher difficulty level would always yield the highest attack power pins, but sometimes normal and easy pin drops have way more attack power than hard (or at least evolve into pins with more attack power)

Nothing in that article that says she has been fired. It's unknown if she'll return to the role because a season 2 was never greenlit. The first season wasn't very popular so it's unlikely they'll do anything else with the character.

Rosario Dawson was one of the most outspoken actors during the strike, and they are still making more Ashoka.

I'm curious about how popularity is measured on streaming.

I thought MCU was taking a breather this year and going back to the drawing board and that's why no announcement had been made for whether or not it'll be greenlit.

Week 3 Day 3: We could not rescue Kanon, who was infected by Shiba's evil Noise and she's gone... all that time traveling for nothing. The boss was waaay easier than Day 2's Ayano especially since it was just a regular Noise, I'd almost be upset that I overtrained for this heh.

If nothing else so many uber pins I can equip now, it feels so fun to mix and match different pin types to see what works best. Screw up a mind dive? Just change my pins to combine strength + enemy weakness, and I get that gold rank.

Week 3 Day 4 preview: holy shit is that Sho? Did he get infected too? Haven't seen him since week 1! Omg so much stuff is happening it's honestly difficult to pry myself away to get some sleep.

Damn. I honestly expected the whole Ayano thing to be a trick but she really did let herself be consumed by the noise... all in a misguided attempt to get shoka back.

Things are really heating up in week 3. I was honestly expecting Kanon to betray us, I was surprised that her offer to help was at face value. In week 2 I was sure she was gonna team up with the reapers like what Motoi did whom I always suspected. The fact that she was sincere (so far) is making me feel bad for her now.

Heh it's definitely simpler than it was evolving pins on the DS, I remember DS pins that required real world time to pass to exp up, or putting the DS in sleep mode, or other things that I don't really remember anymore.

Also I couldn't help looking it up, but I found out how the pins with question marks on their evolution work. Apparently they only evolve if the right person is wearing them.

Previously I had those pins and when I mastered them, they wouldn't evolve like the rest of the pins. So I put them aside. Then I had one of those question marked pins equipped on Fret and got more exp than I expected, and at the end of the battle screen the pin turned rainbow colored and asked if I wanted to mutate the pin, instead of evolve the pin. I said yes and voila, got a whole new stronger pin. Looked up that specific pin and apparently it evolves when Fret equips it, so I assume that's how it works for other pins and other characters, but I'm not gonna look it up yet in case even more people join my party and don't want spoilers.

My pin setup has been:

Rindo: Triangle button (of course) with the fire sword pin, it's an absolute beast of a pin when I first got it, Yukimitsu

Fret: Square button ice bubble pin. Reloads fast.

Nagi: R1 button light bomb pin, and I equip the helpful smartphone accessory that changes the R1-Charge requirement to a tap for instant attacks, real life saver

4th Party Member Beat: L2 Hold Time wind pin, it blows the enemies away and rapidly increases my groove to 300% when I pair it with the other members attacks just right

5th Party Member Shoka: Pin Grinder for pins I want to see the evolution of, or same as above which basically ensures me getting 300% every battle when I drop the beat just right; the boost grinder pin is helpful for this

That's for set 1. For set 2, I switch it up a bit:

Fret: Bomb pin. 1 time use that has this huge bomb which gives out massive damage IF I plant at the right spot at the right time

Nagi: Ice Frost chain pin, holds enemies in place AND makes them take damage while they're stuck

4th Party Member Beat: Darkness Sword Pin, just because its so fun to use. Otherwise it's a healing pin

5th Party Member Shoka: Vortex Pin, to suck up all the enemies onscreen and keep them in one place for the bomb that's about to go off on them

Oh, that's simple, the best way to use the Bomb pin is after one of the pins that drags all the enemies into it's circle, where you are now you should have one of those water or fire vortex pins, they'll drag all the noise into them unable to flee from the bomb's splash zone, as for the boss, they're weak to fire pins so definitely put a bunch of those on especially for the desperation attack as the boss spams it more and more the closer to death it gets, as for those weird noise, I bet they seem familiar you faced something similar to them in the first game.

One enemy you'll really fucking hate is the elephant noises, they're huge, have a shitload of HP, can't be stunned and their most damaging attack sucks everybody in so if you don't know now to dodge you're in for a world of pain, especially because there's a dive sequence where you have to fight two of those fuckers at once, i won't tell you which dive it is, but all I can say is groove that shit as soon as you can

Thank you, it clicked for me, I was wondering how to make use of that darkness pin vortex that drags enemies, and the bomb strategy is great! Especially for the wolves that zip all over the place and leave a trail of fire that instantly burns my party and drains all my HP. So being able to trap them and explode them was hella satisfying

Oh my god chameleons are so bad if I don't attack them first. If I so much as target another enemy I'll regret it.

rhinos are annoying too in that tedious way of needing to attack them from behind but they're weak to ice so I freeze them often. But otherwise I'm not scared of them like I am the other big noise.

Fun fact, light pins can heal a little bit as well as deal out damage and the their healing is tied to combos, like for example, the bomb psyche, if you use it at the right time you'll heal a massive amount of HP due to the damage inflicted on the enemies. Do note that just because your party is 5 now instead of 4 doesn't mean this gets easier, no, you're about to meet some of the deadliest enemies in the game now It's been awhile since I played but I really loved the shotgun pin, the light bullet pin, the sword arm pin, the bomb pin as mentioned and the noise pins, that's right, if you haven't noticed already you can eventually get noise pins from enemies and let me tell you, some of them are really strong and fantastic combo finishers.

Just wanted to say thanks, and that also just as I was feeling overconfident that I finally had 5 party members and kicking ass, I battled the Ayano noise monster and straight up lost -__-' . So much for that overconfidence. I had to reevaluate how I came at her.

Also the enemies getting way tougher as you said. Those gray super tough noise also feel familiar... Lotta dejavu I'm experiencing now, oh I can't wait to see what week 3 reveals.

I'm ambivalent about the bomb pins or any trap pins. When they work they're great, but trying to get the enemy to be near the bomb pin when it explodes is just a whole thing

look out for scorpions, don't forget to dodge, and Killer Remix (the 300% thing) is OP. Also T-Rex's are annoying as hell

Also you'll eventually need to gold all dives if you want to get an extra scene for the ending (don't worry about it rn, since it's postgame stuff)

Yeah I thought mammoths were the worst, but T-Rexs are so much worse. I don't love sharks either when I'm grinding my C-tier pins and none of them are that effective against the shark's annoying swim mechanics.

I already go for gold on all mind dives just to get those extra friendship points, but it having an added benefit is good to know. I can revisit chapters anyway which is good because I know I missed some stuff here and there. I feel like this was also something in the first game, being able to revisit each week.

It's a better fake DCAU film then Batman/Harley Quinn anyway.

Yeah that wasn't great, and it came right after bruce timm's horrible adaptation of killing joke, so not a great track record there. But by comparison this movie is a step in a better direction

If you want your mind blown, it <u>is</u> canon to the DCAU, Bruce Timm has said so himself. It's supposed to take place after JLU, but he realizes it causes some continuity errors so he leaves it up to the fans to work out in their heads how the canon works or to just make it non-canon in their head canon.

Oh wow. It was going to look like those DC original movies they were pumping out last decade, and then at the last minute decided on the DCAU art style. I would have loved it if even more movies got the DCAU art style.

One of the characters in the movie is a guy called mr terrific. I thought that was a nifty coincidence because the other month I was wondering why Cyborg was chosen to be a founding member of the Justice League when they rebooted DC (btw is he still a founding member?) even though John Stewart was the one I grew up watching in DCAU. Then apparently new 52 came along and iirc the founding members didn't even have a GL (nor Martian Manhunter for that matter) it was just Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg.

And someone said that they had Cyborg because they wanted a tech guy on the team as a founding member, and then suggested that instead of Cyborg, they could have used this mr terrific. I remember the character from JLU even though he had like 3 lines of dialogue, and would have been happy to see more episodes with him. So it's kinda cool that they featured him in this movie

I think what bothered me about the whole "this is for adults now with blood and swearing" thing is that they still made Superman job, which was tolerated in JL/JLU to an extent because it was at its heart a kids show but just comes across frustrating here. Super Speed and super strength should make him solo most villains at once...

Random cameos by Harley, 2Face, "fake" Poison Ivy... feels like a love letter to those of us who grew up with the DCAU. Or it did up until they had Ivy snap a guard's neck and then I was like... :/

This movie introduced me to Jessica Cruz, and I love the idea of a Green Lantern dealing with PTSD and having to over come her fear, as well as deal with her own issues.

I think TC my have confused Miss Martian with Kaldur, as he was created for Young Justice.

That must be it yeah Kaldur who I was thinking of.

I'm all for seeing this green lantern again in other stuff and I unironically like the domino mask design, I just don't know enough about green lantern to really get how the powers work and therefore how it fits in the context of a superhero story.

Oh also I just saw that Diane Guerrero voiced Jessica Cruz in this movie so as a fan of Doom Patrol that makes me like her even more, definitely potential there.

You know what I was instantly reminded of? There was an episode of Justice League Unlimited like this with a very similar plot. It was the episode when they wrote off Supergirl to go live in the 31st century. Basically what happened is those same goofyass legion of superhero guys come to the past to stop an evil, and cite that Supergirl was known as this great hero in their time.

As someone who just dislikes time travel in general, reusing that premise for this movie made me smirk.

Miss Martian was pretty much John's going "animated series Starfire is very popular, but comic Starfire is nothing like her animated counterpart. Let's make a new alien character with animated Starfire's personality".

Huh is that what it is. They definitely made her more upbeat and perky in this movie, like how MM started out in YJ s1 before the trauma reveal. I assumed for this movie she was a sub for regular martian manhunter but I didn't mind.

Just a minor correction, Miss Martian was not created for YJ and was actually created by writer Geoff Johns and Artist Tony Daniel and introduced into the teen titans comics 4 years before young justice started airing specifically because DC told Geoff Johns he couldn't use Supergirl in his Teen Titans run so she was created as a replacement

Its kind of also about being a superhero while dealing with mental illness. Jess has her anxiety and Star Boy is a schizophrenic who usually can keep it under control with the medication available to him in the 31st century but in our time hes SOL, so thats a pretty interesting angle.

That actually is an interesting angle, but the movie felt very undercooked with it. It's why I felt like it was maybe an introduction to something more, because the ideas it did present definitely intrigued me enough that I'd watch a show out of it.

Also while watching I felt like or there seemed like some character development for the movie was missing.

Felt like maybe an arc or something was missing because I was like... okay? Near the end there's a scene where the Green Lantern is forced to take the bad guys to a green lantern planet where they imprisoned the bad guys' most powerful member and possible leader, and the bad guys succeed and they maim or kill off a bunch of other green lanterns, and destroy jessica's ring and she's left for dead under a pile of rubble in her human form, no powers or anything. Then she wakes up, says some speech, the ring fixes itself, and she becomes super powerful and has a cool monocle looking lantern thing on her eye and teleports to earth to save the day (because the bad guys took down the Justice League)

This random green lantern is just powerful now and can singlehandedly take down all the baddies that Superman was once again jobbing to? Felt like something was missing Especially since the movie is literally only 77 minutes. Like not even the full 90 minutes. They definitely could have fleshed out some more stuff here and there.

Like throughout the movie Starboy was saying how Jessica Cruz is known as a legend in his time and known as Limelight, but they never show why or explain what made her special or powerful. Hell I got annoyed with Starboy because he seemed completely useless throughout the movie until the end when it was finally revealed what his role was and what he did and I was like um okay. I don't really care there was an emotional component missing so Jessica crying about him and then citing Martin Luther King Jr in his honor made me go "um"

Overall, it was fine as a direct-to-video movie. But not sure why it exists, if it was meant to double as a pilot or attempt to revitalize interest in DCAU/a new IP (after all, Justice League Unlimited ended waay too soon, it was beyond ahead of its time and the large cast of characters meant there was an endless supply of stories to tell about all the comic characters we don't usually see outside of the main 7)

After watching it, the movie is okay and I was interested in the beginning but it started to lose me near the middle and climax. I didn't understand what this Starboy's deal was at all, and I was like wait what nearly a year passed and he was just chilling in Arkham? And the bad guys were just chilling in that time machine? And the legion didn't send someone back? Or there was just one time machine and that's it.

They also introduced Jessica Cruz as this woman who had this rather horribly random traumatic moment where she's hiking in the woods with friends and stumble upon some bad guys who shoot her friend and she gets away, now living with both PTSD and survivor's guilt. And also is a green lantern.

When I saw Miss Martian on the poster I thought the movie would feature her more prominently but it's more about this Green Lantern so that was a surprise.

However, the movie is actually about this random Green Lantern called Jessica Cruz, and that's when the movie kinda lost me because I don't know anything about the Green Lanterns (nor particularly care) because it's the most sci-fi/star warsy type genre of superheroes with all the goofy alien designs and cereal box decoder rings. I only liked John Green Lantern in JLU because it's John, and they didn't really get into the Green Lantern stuff so it was more approachable.

It's also about the time travel guys the 31st century legion of superheroes which I feel the same as I do Green Lantern stuff, it's more "this is 50s era comic book goofiness that I'm not really into" rather than comic stories of the big 3.

That all being said it was damn nice seeing DCAU style again so I was here for it no matter the story or characters.

It is absolutely surreal to watch this movie, it looks like the DCAU, it sounds like the DCAU (hearing Kevin Conroy as Batman again v__v ) but it isn't quite the DCAU. There's straight up killing where they show the bullet wound of someone shot in the forehead, copious amounts of blood, and some cringey swearing that sounds off. It's like the censorship is what made the DCAU writers get creative with their plots, stories and dialogue.

But what I thought was interesting is... it features a DCAU take on Miss Martian, who was created for Young Justice. A different take than YJ for sure, but it definitely fits for the DCAU.
