Just dusted off my ps4 and the only game that was bought digitally and stayed installed on the hard drive is uncharted 4.

Booted it up and was impressed with the graphics for a 6 year old game. I actually think it looks better than a lot of games these days too. The shitty fps though, not so much.

Anyway, the dialogue, characters, the cutscenes and the way the story is told is just so good. It's like watching a very good movie.

It's a shame that the series is finished. Naughty Dog also seems to have changed, I don't really trust them to make another Uncharted. Infact it seems like it's popular to do these gritty, dark, realistic stories nowadays.

Nathan Drakes light hearted yet compelling adventures will be missed.

Ive replayed 1-3 many times. I doubt Ill ever fire up 4 again.

Probably tied with 2 for best.

Definietly one of the best of all times series. I have completed this series countless of times even on Brutal/Crushing Modes and even now I want to play it

Easily the best story in the series, though tbf its kind of the only one that actually tried to have a good story. Such a shame it was the "last" one, it was the series mostly at its best for sure. I would never say no to another fun action-adventure romp in Uncharted - I might be willing to go buy a PS5 for that tbh.

I don't really like the levels that are wide open and not as linear as previous games, it really only served a point to get me turned around IMO - the same thing happened in TLOU2 I think.

I've already preordered it on steam.

I hope they will one day remaster 1-3 so we can have the full collection in todays graphics which is pretty close to as good as graphics can get.

anyway uncharted 4 needed more elena. there was more elena than uncharted 3 had but less elena than uncharted 1 and 2 had
one of my favorite parts of uncharted is the banter between nate and elena

when i hear the original plans for uncharted 4 i get sad they didnt happen
like elena would have been involved in the adventure from the start
and there would have been a playable sully and elena part of the game where control shifts between nate, sully and elena so they could all pull off the auction heist together

instead elena isnt there and you only play as drake there.

100% agree with more Elena.

I enjoyed it a lot, though the pacing got weird in the middle. 2 > 4 > 3 > 1. Lost Legacy was super great too, probably between 4 and 3. It is just a bit too short but for like a 7 hour affair it is very enjoyable.

I thought the last of us 1 was amazing at the time. But after the honeymoon period, it just wasn't really my cup of tea. And then they doubled down on the theme for the 2nd game.

For uncharted 2, I replayed the game like 4 or 5 times. I played uncharted 3 3 times and this is my 3rd time playing 4. And will be playing it again when I get the remastered collection on pc.

The last of us 1, I only played once. I thought it was great but I didn't get any urge to play it again.

Oh and you guys saying how good lost legacy is, I'm super excited for the remastered collection now since I haven't played it yet.

Yeah I really liked it, very surprised about that. Also got it for free so that helps. I think this time they included more exploring/pseudo-platforming and puzzles right? Because exploring the environments was definitely nice. I don't remember the first 3 much or if 4 introducing a brother contradicts 3's intro somehow, but I thought the concept of a brother was good too.

Just waiting to play lost legacy now, because 4 was enjoyable

You'd think an Uncharted without Drake or Sully would be boring or not good, but Lost Legacy nails it and proves that you do not need them to have a very enjoyable Uncharted game. Chloe and Nadine have awesome chemistry and the witty banter and humor is still there in spades.

4 > 2 > LL > 3 > 1

i pretty much agree with your rankings but as you said, theyre all good games. im such a huge fan of this franchise that i would get a ps5 (assuming the next game isnt available on ps4) just to continue playing this series.

because the uncharted series isnt really about the gameplay
its gameplay is passable but not amazing. its biggest draw is that they feel like an 80s adventure movie thats playable

so yes its story is what stands out because people fell in love with the great characters and amazing set pieces

Eh I think 3 is by far the worst in the series

A large part of why Is the lack of Elena
Glorified cameo is basically her role in 3

I've been wanting to replay all these games recently lol, but I've been trying to get through some of my backlog

Yeah honestly its kind of surprising that 1 even got a sequel, it really wasn't that good. And that's coming from someone that did like it.

Though I could see an argument for swapping 2 and 4, depending on how much you liked the story of 4.

Every uncharted game I felt like I was just trying to get through the game. Didnt enjoy it too much. Idk combat wasnt satisfying and the puzzles were annoying sometimes. I do like the banter though

LOVE last of us however.

and I think reason is, combat is super satisfying and i like seeing bodies blow up lol

I like Elena's character model in 1 and especially 2, she had a Pam thing going on, like a blond Jenna Fischer. The banter is the best part.

But 4 is about the relationship of the brothers so I get not including her as much although I wouldn't mind the game being longer for more scenes with her.
