| rexcrk 02/16/21 9:41:16 PM #4 | I will typically always take a really great puppet or animatronic (a great recent example would be the Star Wars sequels. Been watching the behind the scenes stuff and there are a ton of amazing practical effects) over CGI, but Ill definitely take CGI over stop motion. That is, stop motion when its supposed to be in the real world. It CAN be really good like in the original Star Wars movies (like the walkers in Empire Strikes Back) but most of the time it just looks bad and more fake than CGI (like the terror dog in Ghostbusters). Stop motion movies like Nightmare Before Christmas are great though. Its definitely a really cool form of animation. --- These pretzels are making me thirsty! |

Hit & Run was ok, but sometimes the driving can be a little too difficult, and since thats a huge part of the game, that knocks it down a bit for me. I love The Simpsons Game from 2007 though. Just a regular old platformer, and I loved the cel-shaded graphics and that the cutscenes were done in regular 2D cel animation. Plus being able to free-roam Springfield is awesome. Shame they just.. stopped making Simpsons games. --- These pretzels are making me thirsty! |
