With Nintendo games in general, sure, but with this one in particular. I dont even own a Switch, to be entirely frank.
So whats so special about SSBB or whatever its full name is ? I wouldnt mind being enlightened on the matter --- Ave Caesar, Rosae Rosam et Spiritus Rex ! - Voila, ca ne veut absolument rien dire mais l'effet reste le meme https://imgur.com/NtyKYwI ... Copied to Clipboard!

why do you need to understand it? tbh it feels like you're just trying to subtly shit on something popular but thats just my cynical side

It seems to overwhelm the simply usual popular stuff appeal, this one. And no, youre over-analysing, theres no shitting on popular things subtext at all. I like some popular stuff myself. Take Fortnite for example. Im not particularly a YUGE fan, but I understand the mass appeal. With SSBB, it just eludes me. --- Ave Caesar, Rosae Rosam et Spiritus Rex ! - Voila, ca ne veut absolument rien dire mais l'effet reste le meme https://imgur.com/NtyKYwI ... Copied to Clipboard!

As a person without a Switch and that has always wanted one I think it's really how easy and fun the games really are fun to play with friends. It has almost every loveable character from the staples.. obvious things that really created the staying power when the first one released
Much like Fortnite, you can hop in and play and put it down really easy --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

Do you understand the appeal of any Smash Bros game, going back to the N64 game?

Smash was the first console game I ever played so its always had a special place in my heart. It introduced me to stuff like Mario, Zelda and Kirby. Even if you suck at the game like I do its still able to provide you with endless hours of fun as you try your hardest to beat your friends. With the most recent game though, the appeal is that it has a ridiculously huge cast of characters from a lot of different popular series. I don't care about that aspect of it but its obvious why that would appeal to a lot of people. Also, just call it Smash or Smash Bros. SSBB is Super Smash Bros Brawl, which is the wii game --- Pickles the Drummer, doodily doo, dingdong doodlily doodily doo ... Copied to Clipboard!

I see. So perhaps the same kind of Mario Kart frenzy I used to partake in as well, long ago. That one was super fun with friends. Or the Raving Rabbids party games. But eh, then I kind of grew up and out of them.

I grew out of the series as I got older, but beating up your friends with your favorite characters was great. Wish ultimate was around when I was still into the series. So much character variety.

I dunno, it's pretty simple honestly. Smash Ultimate is the greatest crossover event in the history of media. It features a tremendous roster of (mostly) very popular characters from dozens of franchises that people have known their entire lives, from a huge variety of different companies now, not just Nintendo. The characters and media franchises featured are lovingly crafted to represent the world they're from, and offer a great deal of fanservice.
On top of that, even 2 years after it's release, it has a really active competitive scene with lots of ongoing support from the devs, which isn't common for fighting games. If that isn't "fascinating" I dunno what is. --- ForestLogic alt. ... Copied to Clipboard!
