Wrong number. Almost all of the blood clots did not result in death. And knowing that this rare event can happen will likely lower the amount of deaths as well. Deaths were 3-4(One person in serious condition that i know of) out of 8 million.

We also wouldn't be giving J&J to every person in the world. But we would give it to a lot of people and it would save a hell of a lot of lives, prevent a lot of prolonged covid conditionsm etc.

It is not even a little bit of a moral issue. Most medication we give people will kill some small percentage of those that receive it but the benefits to the population far outweigh the harm. We settled this moral issue a long time ago.

Second dose side effects started at about 9 hours and lasted for about 30 hours.

Got bored and starting looking at numbers since I figured they were available right now and people continue to try to claim Florida as a COVID success story. That is year to year deaths in Florida. Keep in mind the population in Florida grew by less(In raw number) in 2020 than 2019.

They reported less than 22k deaths by COVID but have about a 31k unexpected increase in deaths.

Eating at home all the time cut a lot of junk food from my diet, so I dropped 25 pounds pretty quick at the start of the pandemic. Was a bit too much and I put 10 of that back on.

vaccines getting looked at for the same issue means something's going on but nobody really knows what or why, just that it's a thing with potential in the way the body reacts to something like covid.

There isn't any evidence that there is an increase in blood clots over those outside the group of people getting the vaccine.

When you give millions of doses, you are going to have a % of people that get blood clots.

If you took the same millions of non-vaccinated people, you'd also have a % of people that get blood clots.

Right now the first percentage is not higher than the second.

It looks like the curve is flattening out at around numbers we saw in early november/late october.

Some of it is masked due to delays caused by weather, but it also shows our decreasing trend in cases has likely slowed significantly regardless.

All while most of the country prematurely talks of major reopenings. With vaccinations about to hit a major ramp up(Increased supply of current vaccines and J&J about to launch), I really wish we'd show just a little more patience.

To illustrate how wrong this is. Bernie Sanders -is- far left. Bernie Sanders has 15.1 million followers.

There are unlikely to be 10 million people in the United States left of Bernie Sanders.

Basically, you are choosing to bubble off a section of the far left and say "this is far left twitter", when that simply isn't the case. That is "these people are insane stop giving them attention" twitter.

(And no, being left of Bernie isn't insane, but thinking hes not an ally when you are that far left absolutely is)

Ehhh, its arguable the best hope for those beliefs was defeating Donald Trump. There's no guarantee Bernie wins, as Biden polled slightly better in battleground states(Particularly those that went blue, not all of them mind you, but MI/WI in particular come to mind).

I don't know who you consider to be far left twitter, or who you follow from it, but on my feed most people consider Bernie to be a problematic fave and considered him the compromise, not the answer, and in fact if you go deeper many people outright consider him cancelled at this point and not an ally.

You just follow the wrong people then, or the more extreme. And perhaps you don't quite understand how encompassing the far left is.

We're actually very effective at distributing a seasonal flu vaccine.

Seasonal COVID vaccine is basically 100% going to be a thing. Especially with the globalization of the virus.

We should probably expect mask wearing to become more commonplace during the winter months in order to make our new normal with covid and the flu to be more on par with previous flu seasons.

Also I want to point out that the 2000 election essentially was stolen. If votes were counted consistently across Florida(Either all hanging chads/etc counted or all thrown out), Gore would have won.

There was still a peaceful transfer of power(One that would ultimately fuck the country and the world, of course).

The election in 2020 was not even a little bit under dispute. The lie was still peddled for months. Looking at the evidence, you'd have to be a complete moron to think the election was "stolen", but because the President said so we failed to have a peaceful transfer of power.
