I really don't think they're straight up cancelling. A common theory is that these sports leagues are going to just use current seeding and just do the playoffs once it's all done

Going to need at least some period of either exhibition games or some sort of build up for reconditioning before starting playoffs.

Having an actual meaningful regular season is fun. When all that matters is the top seed and your team has no chance at it as early as August but has no chance of missing the playoffs, September has lost all meaning.

This is killing September drama so a couple of 81-81 teams can make the playoffs every year.

I don't know that either Divinity OS is all that long...I'm pretty sure if I played solo I could complete them rather quickly but I am always tempted to play with others(Which does make it a lot more fun) and the way the game is setup that just makes simple tasks take a long time. I've had a lot of fun with both games but also never finished either one.

Keep in mind a lot of people are really lacking in good role models. Not everyone has a great family or access to a good support system. So for a lot of people what they see in public or on TV or whatever is all they have.

Mind you, I understand why the people with the largest platforms get the most votes here, all of the great nobodies in our world won't get votes for the simple reason that they aren't well known enough to have vote consolidation. But I think people who pick a President are deeply lacking in imagination and would do well to find better role models

Don't look at me, back when we were in school and they'd ask the standard journal question of "who do you admire the most", elementary school me used to answer that the person I admire most is myself. It was always a weird question because most of the class would put an athlete or an actor and I think I always had an understanding that those people had an innate gift and the presentation they provide in public never really matched their true self, so you never really know much about them personally. So I admired myself for recognizing my classmates were mostly naive idiots(I didn't actually write this part).

I think part of the problem you are having with this is you are thinking too low scale on shared persons people could admire. Unless you are going to go towards athletes(Who honestly, are really not good role models), there isn't a lot of people that could get mass-admiration on a national level.

I keep neglecting to buy one and the need has been evident for awhile(My current picture is a pile of eeveelutions that are now all a shade of Umbreon).

I was at Disney World a few weeks ago when the new Star Wars ride opened and I decided to go to Animal Kingdom instead.

Cant say I regret it.

I haven't viewed it yet because I want to avoid spoilers but apparently it is very impressive(It opens here in a few weeks).

But Hollywood Studios still blows compared to Animal Kingdom. You made the right choice.

Our 24 hour middle of the night jack in the box employees here are amazing people. Sometimes theres like 2 people in the entire restaurant running a very busy drive through all on their own, they are making drinks, taking orders, and passing stuff through the window among other things all at once. Its amazing multitasking(And talking with confusing people ordering all at once) and they do it flawlessly.

With all our local McDonald's offering mobile order and encouraging screen-based ordering they are all running with minimal staff as well.

(The way McDonald's uses those screens is absolutely evil, they have more than cut in half the number of employees working at once).

We have Frontier as a competitor.

Obviously it would be an empty threat as Frontier runs on old Verizon FIOS infrastructure that was too expensive for Verizon to upkeep and Frontier well, they aren't exactly investing in that department. They still lock customers into 2 year contracts as well.

But I mean, a regional sports network monopoly assures we wont actually switch off of Spectrum. But at least the threat is there for me to pull out every year.

The alternative is cancel Spectrum every year and put it in a new name, since after 12 months you are eligible for new customer status again.

Yep not making an actual trilogy really fucked them over.

Hell I'm pretty sure someone thought they'd make Maz into a more important character(She was one of the first to get a transition scene in Star Tours) but she was needlessly benched for the second movie(And her replacement completely erased from the third I believe).

If these "tanking" teams were actually trying to compete they would be stockpiling short term deals at low or high costs to trade for controllable assets at the trade deadline.

Most of these teams have no intention to supplment their rosters when "ready" to compete and instead are just going to pocket their profits now and forever.

I've found that if you threaten that you're cancelling your service and going to a different company they will usually fold pretty quick and offer you 'new customer' pricing.

They wont negotiate til we switch the account over. Switching the account over would risk them not wanting to give us new customer pricing(Especially since we are an old Time Warner Cable customer on a grandfathered plan, this makes this complicated).

So if you remember my grandpa died back on Thanksgiving, we got the funeral and crap taken care of, and then the holidays kind of caught up on us and you cant do much til the mortuary hooks you up with a big pile of expensive pieces of paper that certify a person is good and dead. So the family kind of agreed to put off all the essential stuff til everyone got all their gifts and everything.

So with Christmas in the rearview mirror it was time today to start getting some bills switched over. The utilities and stuff are a little complicated, so I decided to start at the more outrageously expensive stuff, phone and cable. Now, my grandpa wasn't on the cell phone bill but with my grandpa paying all the other crap there was plenty of money to go around so I kind of just let it go. But with more bills and me being an inherently cheap person, I was going to call and chip as much from our family plan on verizon as I could. Ended up knocking $60 a month off our bill and switching from a limited(12 GB, quite a bit, but still) data plan to an unlimited data plan(Which also gets a year free of Disney+, hurray!). Despite basically also being a cable company for whatever reason cell phone carriers are easier to deal with.

Next we get the cable company. This is where things get complicated. As you may know, they offer their best deals to new customers, and my grandpa, who liked throwing money around, didn't pay attention to the fact that our original bill with Time Warner, which was like $120 a month had turned into a $260 a month monstrocity with Spectrum(I told him I'd call for him and get it lowered he said don't bother). That is fucking insane. So I call, and I tell them my grandpa is dead and the easy way to do things is for them to transfer the account to us but lower our bill to something comparable to new pricing. This means no shuffling of equipment or install for us or them. They talk to a supervisor, tell us they'll call us back they cant handle it from there.

Fine. They call back. They tell us they'll switch over the account for us. Now, theres a trick here, switching over the account makes the new account owner ineligible for new customer pricing. I know this, they know this. I tell them we won't switch the account unless they are talking price. They tell us they don't handle that there. So I tell them, the alternative is we just cancel service and reup. They say ok, bring your equipment in to our office and they'll handle cancellation.

So rather than seamlessly transition, tomorrow I bring all the equipment back to Spectrum, where I will also be picking up what is likely exactly the same equipment to setup the exact same service under a different name for pretty much half the price(Actually probably going to drop a few premium movie channels we havent watched in months).

Firefox handles having a billion tabs open better while Chrome handles certain individualized pages and tasks better.

In terms of raw gameplay KH1 may have ended up my least favorite in the series.

Even playing normal the bosses felt like they were infinite balls of health. There was one particular boss I didn't even have a real strategy for it was just kind of pound away at them and hope everyone didn't get RNG killed to things that seemed to just be in arbitrary places near the area you were smacking the boss.
