OK. I just beat the Golden Deer route. While it was better than Crimson Flower by a large margin, Im still a little annoyed. So much is left not answered.

What happened to Rhea? Yea she was injured but there was no info on her after the final battle. She could have died from her injuries for all I know. There was still no info on Byleths mother or the entire story of what happened before Jeralt left the monastery. I still have no idea who the mother is. Jeralt is still shrouded in mystery.

Claude never really said he was from Almyra and never got into his details about his past. He promised he would go into details after he learned about me but there was zero payoff. Dimitris death was really stupid. I thought he would escape and I would talk to
him again but nope, he just gets stabbed by spears after collapsing. Dedude just disappeared and he was never brought up again. We also never saw Hildas brother which blew my mind. How can he be mentioned so much with zero payoff? Im also shocked that Flayn and Seteth never told Byleth about who they really are. That made no sense. I got confirmation who they were through their supports and a paralogue but that was never discussed with Byleth directly.

The game also never really explained the Javelin of Light. It was used by those who slither in the dark but nothing really shows how that is happening. If it is a spell then it is unknown who is casting it since the game never really showed someone actually casting it. It also looked man made and just came out of nowhere so I question if it is just a pure spell.

I also felt like Byleth could have saved Edelgard at the end instead of killing her but I can let that pass for several reasons. I could see Edelgard using that moment of weakness to her advantage. Also, you promised several people to kill her so I guess you have no choice.

Im sure there is many more things I want to say but this is everything on the top of my head. I know the criticism seems worse that Crimson Flower but trust me its not. This route was FAR better IMO. Claude is the only sane Lord in this game.

Another thing, Im going to try to beat the Blue Lions route on Maddening. Should be a royal pain in the ass

Yeah, it is super annoying how the routes parcel out information. A lot gets answered, but you have to play every route, and even then, you still have to piece together stuff. You don't get flat out told sometimes.

Also, no spoilers, but you will realize just how fitting one of those sentences is during your BL playthrough >_>

Oh man, I just had the nuttiest goddamned run. Annihilated the heart so utterly as Watcher that I ended with an unused lizard tail and over half my health. Took so many risks that almost killed me in act 1 and 2 (would have died a hundred times over on higher ascensions) but came out the other side with 33 relics, most of them bonkers. Not to mention I kept spamming lesson learned so my deck was upgraded to hell even though I used my campfires to dig.

I had lightning bottle for three miracles plus gambler's chip (yep, this works!). I had ink bottle, duality, and shuriken with a flurry-based deck. I had tungsten rod and that one relic that reduces damage under 5 to 1, meaning it got reduced to 0. Had unceasing top for divinity stance. Even random intangibility every 6 turns.

I felt like a god and I weep knowing it may never happen again.

1) Yes. My stance is to pull on red fish or the third fish of the bunch.

Minor correction: 3-4 fish will appear per piece of bait. Sometimes you'll get a 4th, sometimes you won't.

Whether to take the gamble on a fourth fish showing up is a matter of your goals. If you're trying to rack up exp with the fistfuls of fish event, it's better to pull the third fish and not gamble. If you're aiming for a goddess messenger or a gold/platinum fish, it's best to try for a 4th fish.

Congrats! I haven't beat it yet

You'll get there! It is a blatantly unfair battle lol.

I had the kunai and the fan, and the anchor to protect me while I laid down my powers T1. Then it was FTL/claw/3 damage debuff attacks all day long, with two copies of draw 3/exhaust and another copy of draw 3/shuffle in a burn. Had two reboots as well, and then the 0 cost energy generators. Add in some swipe and one for all shenanigans and I could generally stumble through 12 attacks or so per turn.

God dammit.

So I picked up the game after you guys said the Android version was stable. Been having fun with it so far. Took a bit of time to figure out the strategy but now I can regularly clear the game (at least for now; I hear it gets harder).

Anyway, I made it to the actual final boss just now and I had a super broken watcher build that abused intangibility and flurry of blows/wrath for massive damage. Cruised through every fight once I got the event that gave me the intangibility to play with. Except it cut my max HP in half...

...and I had no idea that the boss would punish intangibility THAT HARD. I clicked over the boss abilities when the fight started and had to put my phone down for a second; I was so proud of the build I'd made and it was like the game had said "lol no, get here for real."

marthsheretoo

In 3.5 at least, there was a rule where if you roll for stats and they end up below a certain amount, you got to reroll.

If they're already better than the standard array, you get to toss your character into suicidal situations until the dice don't go your way and then make a new character with hopefully better stats.

Stats are a major balancing aspect of the game, though. Don't go too overzealous in your quest for multiple 18s.
