I havent read any of these since I was in middle school so I have no idea how theyd hold up for an adult reader. I do remember thinking everyones names in Outsiders was stupid though. There was some kid named like, Soda Pop or something. Idk. I remember enjoying the book but I couldnt get past those names. Sounded like something an out of touch adult would think that kids thought sounded cool.
