The PS2 port of Tales of Symphonia had to be stripped down to 30FPS due to hardware limitations and we're still paying for it now, since all rereleases/remasters are based on the lesser PS2 version. Sucks.

I think I owned every RPG except one or two for it. Which was like 3 total and I'm including the Lord of the Rings game. There was like 6 total? That reminds me though that I need to get Baiten Kaitos remaster for Switch.

Tales of Symphonia, both Baiten Kaitos games, Skies of Arcadia, Paper Mario, PSO episode 3, Crystal Chronicles, Fire Emblem, and both Lost Kingdoms were the ones I had. Gladius too but it was on all three consoles, and PSO 1&2 was also on xbox. Custom Robo's arguable but it's structured like one. Two of the ones I listed were also on Dreamcast but significantly expanded/better (Skies of Arcadia felt unplayable to me).

I think compared to the animes i'm behind on s-rank adventurer but ahead on apothecary, but there's also a lot of good stuff going on with just weekly catchups I've managed to stay on track for. i'm near the end of what would probably be a season 4 finale of realist hero and damn, it really did get better (...when it wasn't dragging)

Playing a bit of FFXI for the first time in three years, I will get nothing accomplished this month except maybe open up the Shadowlord WotG fight.

Imo there's almost absolutely going to be at least one digital-only option for one of the consoles that's significantly cheaper- and if they're smart, some kind of price matching system to match cheaper physical sales to go along with it. They still need to ease us into digital-only, but we're past due for the first steps to start happening.

Apparently episode 2 of 16-bit sensation was written by the guy who wrote Kizuato and Shizuku, which were both incredibly influential PC-98 games. Kizuato basically inspired Tsukihime, and Shizuku is the forefather of the denpa genre (Higurashi and Chaos;head being probably the most well known of the genre- basically the world gets more and more fucked up but only the main character perceives it). That's fuckin cool.

FUNA's protagonists (Mitsuha from 80k gold, Mile from average abilities isekai) always have incredibly broken powers that they intentionally underuse. That unfortunately never really goes away entirely, because as you said, that would completely skip the plot of the episode. The author has some kind of fixation on girls trying to live quiet humble lives but always backfiring horrifically

not having a gamepad makes playing these games a lot more tedious rn so i have the whole series on hold

I raced through vending machine isekai. It's getting a second season, I'm pretty pumped up about that. It's an odd concept, but I found it enjoyable. There seems to be a lot of room for creativity as well, so it'll be nice to see how it develops in the future.

The weird part about this one is that they've already adapted all of the light novel's contents (the LN went on hiatus years ago), and the recently restarted manga adaptation is nowhere close to the end of the anime. They're gonna have to pull content from the webnovel, which is sorta weird.

Golden Sun 1 probably wouldn't have been remembered as as good of a game if 2 didn't exist, and Dark Dawn is extra bad about it. It felt like massive bait. Plus the visuals weren't quite as impressive- the GBA games really looked DAMN good for GBA games

still unsure what I want to keep up on weekly at this point- I vividly remember the main early story beats of most things I'm interested in because I've read the source material, and I've come to realize I like keeping up with 1-2 things weekly while occasionally catching up on the rest

maybe apothecary diaries? it's been a few years since I read the manga and it's pretty fuzzy at this point. last season I weekly'd vending machine and caught back up on cleric and the dumb barrier isekai every 3-4 weeks and it was a nice lazy pace

s rank adventurer is on j-novel LN catchup this month so lmao I'm gonna binge that shit. apothecary diaries is too but it's gonna be a couple weeks before I get around to it. tearmoon's manga is also there but it probably covers less content than season 1 (LN's way further along)
