on the flip side, logistics had much larger capacities in general so it doesn't murder your frame rate quite as aggressively as trying a full logistics run of Factorio would (so instead of a main bus, when you expand, you can just order new mining nodes to supply and they're linked up with the supply system)
you also gain more tools to make belts up to 4x more compact (eventually by default as they exit out of logistics stations)
it's a different logistics problem to solve and I think it's pretty neato

main line buses def do not work very well in DSP, especially once you unlock logistics. its really weird coming off from being a factorio player. my first planet is basically a sacrifice to rush Interstellar Logistics asap lol

my current playthrough was incredibly inefficient because i did not have near enough energy to support what my goals were and i had to focus on energy for like 8 hours straight after i'd established ILS in more places than necessary

but it was cool..

Looks pretty interesting, but is there any emphasis on automation? It seems more like a tower defense game with resource management.

Factory games' appeal come continually adding onto a growing factory that is mostly autonomous once set up; where you can do almost everything by hand, but it's better to have 10000 hands doing things automatically and constantly. You basically do very little by hand except for expand the scale of operations (and sometimes combat if the game has it, like Factorio, but you can automate even that to an extent with stuff like heavily fortified artillery encampment blueprints).

it's more like the goal of the villain was to explicitly create an artificial isekai, and he did for the most part succeed, but it was a very hacky solution

however in later parts of SAO, i'd argue Alicization is absolutely unquestionably an isekai, because it's a simulated world with hundreds of years of history and fully-realized AI NPCs, some of which have formed souls

isekai like sao had been relatively common in the decade up to sao's anime adaptation in web novel and light novel format (Leadale, an isekai anime airing this season, was written in 2010, and sao itself was first written in the early 2000's) but none really took off

I've played one of them for the GBA or something like that. One of the few to get a translation.

those were the Original Generation games, which is where they jam pack all their original characters into one timeline after a bunch of other games slowly introduce them as protagonists alongside licensed characters. and they were pretty sick for gba games

they got remastered into a PS2 game and then has had multiple sequels since then (Original Generations (PS2) -> OG Gaiden (PS2) -> 2ndOG (PS3) -> Moon Dwellers (bunch of systems including steam, and has an english translation)

the stuff they did for music approximately around the ps1 to ps2 era was phenomenal

i haven't played 30 yet, but i am a massive fan of SRW games in general; the main complaint against 30 i've heard is that it's too easy so it's probably a pretty good entry point for a beginner

the gameplay is sort of reminiscent of fire emblem but with a much wider array of actions each unit can take. also it has mother fucking gaogaigar. GAOGAIGAR.

seems kind of similar in appeal to va11halla but the main character is a manic-depressive aspiring streamer and you're her SO/mod

rely on kardia, use your free tools relatively aggressively (physis single target is still worth it; once kerachole gets its healing over time upgrade, use it basically on cooldown), don't be capped on adder stacks, and try to keep the tank's HP around 50-70% unless a very meaty tankbuster is about to happen

In the library you don't have to worry about the knock back for any bosses since you can wedge em into corners etc, which kills them super fast, it's the best way to kill them anyway honestly, although if you go the dagger route you can just flat out directly obliterate em while they try to walk to you.

if you hit them enough at once with magic wand, they will have so much speed they zoom through the wall and take forever walking back in. this is mostly just a problem with that boss in the middle that's super light, but i've even done this to lamia bosses before

In fact dagger + bible + faster projectiles = win, nothing else matters and you can just wait till you get all 3, it doesn't even matter which char you start with because of that (since you can't get bible). Dagger char has faster projectile bonus I think (+30%?) and you start off with daggers so that would be an easy start I guess, but any of em work. I never entered the code for the 100% luck but lower stats char to try it out.

there are very few builds that don't work because everything is at the very least good, but are they getting you 7k-10k gold per run? more killing power leads to more levels leads to more gold, and gold is kinda the only actual measure of performance right now xd

The problem with both evolved and unevolved garlic is that its damage stays terrible forever. It scales far more weakly than everything else naturally, and it can't benefit from the best offensive statistic in the game at all (more projectiles). It's very useful for a lot of specific annoying things in the early to mid game but you can accomplish basically the same thing with bible, which scales way better into lategame.

Also the extra knockback effect makes it basically unusable with magic want if you want to actually kill light bosses. Four magic wand hits when you have a garlic equipped will send bat bosses flying offscreen making it incredibly obnoxious if you're using magic wand as a boss killer.

any of the evolved weapons can essentially lead you to a win if you get it early enough, axe and cross are especially great

garlic eliminates weaker enemies from the game but gets useless at 20~ minutes so you have to rely on something else to carry you (which the bible can)

area + duplicator + birds is an absurd amount of damage too

similar enough to other factory games, but different enough in that vertical space is a valuable commodity that allows incredible spaghetti

it just got a pretty good update that adds product stacking with certain buildings (so you can fit more stuff on belts, it's good before merging multiple lines together) and the equivalent of modules from factorio (you deliver goo to a production line and if a product is made of 100% goo'd stuff, it gains quantity or speed at the cost of energy consumption)

it's a bit slow until you unlock interstellar logistics allowing vessels to transport between planets, but you do start with the equivalent of a roboport (which half of the time i modded into factorio lol)

if the shoes are stopping you from fucking an m&m, reevaluate everything

there's more pressing points to care about in my previous sentence

as someone who definitely started the game before 2.4 enough to be max level when levi came out

The WAR also can use those self heals elsewhere just as well, though. It's not like Benediction is particularly special outside of healing more the lower the target's HP is.

I'm not ignoring it, Living Dead is a situationally great ability on a very badly balanced class. Even if you want invulns right now you wouldn't willingly bring a DRK because the rest of the kit is subpar.

Three of the four tanks benefit from benediction when using their invulns. WAR doesn't need it but it's the best possible use of Benediction anyways.

That's why I said it's only good in organized settings! Benediction/macrocosmos solve the issue with one button, and you get slightly longer invuln time than holmgang because the 10 second duration only begins when the tankbuster hits, not when LD is pressed. Timing LD is trivial and consistent, too.

The cooldown should absolutely be shorter though, yeah. And LD is absolute garbage outside of organized settings; in dungeon roulettes its only real use is to delay your wipe by 10 seconds after your healer runs out of buttons to press and mana to burn.
