| WalkingLobsters 07/01/21 8:49:19 AM #1 | Only reason this is popular is because its babbys first anime, and the grandeur of anime fight scenes lets them look the past the atrocious characters, pacing, and plot just gonna say that I enjoyed the anime up until the tone shift from an isolating horror to a generic shonen. This was around the time Michael Jackson made his entrance. Not saying the first few episodes were great but it was enjoyable (there was dumb shit like the mc didnt want to kill a random demon but the day before was ready to split a humans face open with an axe) nezuko is pretty much a dog. She gets muzzled and pet like a dog. When the characters are talking she rolls around on the floor. What little chance of allowing her to express her own emotions is stripped from her because shes hypnotized to see everyone as her family. the first few episodes implied that demons are mythical creatures among the regular folk which further implies there are few them and that further implies there should be few demon slayers. Even the training and exam seem to imply there arent many, but by the end of the season theres hordes of them. They even have branches like a Starbucks. Wasnt a fan of this. Would have vastly preferred the demon slayers to be a near extinct organization barely clinging to life as it makes the show more oppressive and can explain why regular people dont know about demons. the wisteria shit was dumb. Dont need to explain the supporting characters are incredibly irritating which goes back to my opinion that this would have been better served as an anime that only follows the mc and his sister. I know people here will disagree because the vast majority of you disagree for the sake of disagreeing, and no real other reason. Its why many of you live lives of despair --- |
