70% or higher. I've had some pretty fantastic 100%.

White chocolate is also good for different reasons.

Milk chocolate is pointless.

Haha, weirdly I was thinking that this was finally scratching the Super Meat Boy itch. The B-Sides definitely have the same level of difficulty as some of the dark world levels.

Also, regarding chapter 8 and 9-- same. Definitely gonna try to complete what I can.

Not really a part of this but seeing the topic title reminded me that I wanted to play Edith Finch

Played through it last night while my wife watched. When the deer knocked Sam off the cliff, she gasped and had to take a break to drink some tea.

I watched a video that made the case that Edie Finch is the villain of the story. She initially uses the curse as an excuse for deaths that were caused by negligence (Molly poisoning herself, Calvin going over the cliff from him swing), and she revels in the curse and the attention it brings (the comic book, the tabloid article about the moleman, the fact that all the bedrooms are kept as death shrines). Her obsession with the curse and her fantastical tales of death cause issues with recklessness (Sam) and disillusionment with reality (Milton, Lewis).

Pretty good movie

Really grew to love Daniel Craig's over-the-top accent, and there were some great quotes

I thought it was pretty interesting how what Marta did was revealed very early in the movie...it definitely worked well as misdirection, and it made me wonder a lot about how things would unfold.

I've completed the first 5 chapters + B sides so far.

Golden Ridge B Side has my most deaths at 615.

I think Mirror Temple and Old Site have been my favorites so far, though I actually enjoyed the windy parts of Golden Ridge

Had to look up how to get the blue hearts on the first two levels.

On the first level, I had the inputs but for some reason didn't figure out I needed to dash

On the second level, I was going crazy trying to figure out how to get up there in the dream section...I didn't put together what the poem meant about "out of frame"

Finished the level 4 B-Side before I finished the normal level...kinda interesting that it lets you proceed to the next level without finishing the main story.

Also currently at 4 red hearts and 2 blue hearts.

I don't know if it matters? They are significantly harder than the regular sides, so I'm wondering if maybe it makes sense to clear the main chapters first.

Keep trying! Also, maybe it's just a placebo effect, but it feels like caffeine helps my running performance a lot. This was the first run where I had a little coffee 2 hours before the race, and I think it may have been what pushed me over the edge.

I manage a small team that does client operations for an adtech company (basically a company that helps websites/apps make money via ad revenue).

I'm fairly ambivalent toward my job. It pays well, and I generally like the people I work with, but it's fairly far from where I live (so I work remote on a regular basis). I do enjoy meeting with clients and essentially wining and dining them, though that's not a primary component of my job.

It's a tech job so it's got the typical techie office with stuff like cold brew coffee on tap, catered lunches, snacks.

All in all, it's fine. It's comfortable and not overly stressful.

Maybe one day MCU fans will grow up and realize how hollow these films are and will watch something truly great like Parasite!

I mean there was a broken glass tube somewhere nearby right, and the top and bottom areas scroll off the screen? That really was hint enough for 9 year old Lopen. Not sure why it needed to be more obvious

Think this is a gaming convention gap. Like in the days of the SNES you had to intuit things more often than you do these days. These days it's all like GET TO THE CHECKPOINT and a giant blinking thing on a minimap and SNAKE, USE BOMBS WISELY.

Like I guess the slightly more obvious way to do it that doesn't ruin every bit of thinking would to be have the already broken one start heavily cracked and unbroken, only breaking when Samus steps on it with the same effect it does after you powerbomb the solid one? *Shrug* It seems a bit excessive though.

I mean, there were two reasons it seemed non-obvious.

1. Like I mentioned, the broken tube doesn't really look like a broken tube. I just thought it was a weird plant thing because it was green. I spent a lot of time investigating things I thought were weird in Maridia that turned out to be just weird with no real purpose.

2. The fact that it only reacts to the power bomb. What kind of glass are we working with here? A super missile isn't enough?

Also the fact that it doesn't react to the x-ray visor, which shows breakable blocks. You could argue that because it's glass, there wouldn't be anything to see, but the game's internal logic with the x-ray visor is more about showing what breaks a given item rather than looking inside something.

On a related note, Portal did breaking a glass tube for a puzzle in a much more intuitive way.
