Around 50% of people (maybe more now?) own stocks and could have chosen to put all their savings into TSLA. Of course that would've been a stupidly risky decision, but it's how Musk made that money.

You're attacking the 50% to try to hit the 0.01%. It's so dumb and typical of modern liberalism.

That 50% is counting 401ks and other retirement options and you typically can't just say "I'm going all in on Tesla" with your retirement account. Not because it's risky (which it is) but you literally don't get the option to.

The number of people who are individually invested in specific stocks is closer to 10%.

Where's the Training Dummy in Act 2? I keep getting my ass kicked and have no idea what I'm supposed to do to make my deck better. I chose the bone deck and I can't beat the bone boss or the trader.

You don't get access to it until after you beat one of the first two bosses-- it's in the wizard tower. I chose the wizard deck so can't really offer any advice, but was able to beat the beast boss without modifying my deck (and with some luck).

I'd suggest adding some of the beast/sacrifice cards that you get since I feel like those would compliment the deck pretty well. Also search everywhere you can for packs.

Just beat this yesterday. Clear time 9:40:14, 76%. Left it idling at the map screen a few times-- not sure if clear time counts that?

I liked the game overall. The EMMI sections were kinda neat, but I don't like how they caused the map to be full of large, mostly uninteresting sections after you beat them. Also I expected each EMMI to have a new mechanic, but it seemed like only the yellow and blue EMMIs had that?

One related issue I had-- I feel like the early game has you taking so many elevators/teleportals/trains that you never get a sense of the structure of the map until late game. Or at least that's how it was for me. It felt like the game kind of funneled me forward in a way that felt much more like a guided tour instead of exploring. The EMMI sections kind of exacerbated this feeling since they feel like their own distinct part of the map rather than a part of the areas they're in, making the map feel a little more disjointed.

But despite that, I had a lot of fun. The boss fights felt like the right amount of difficulty, where I'd gradually piece together how to fight the boss with each death. It felt very satisfying to go from getting wiped out on the first phase of the end boss (and others), and then being able to quickly blast through the boss phases while barely losing any health.

I think the game is probably less forgiving to people who haven't played many (or any) search action games though. From what I can remember, other games in Metroid or (modern) Castlevanias have the opportunity to find more upgrades or power up your character-- to the point where you can make a lot of mistakes during a boss and still win. I didn't get the sense that you could do that in this game, since it seems like your access to health tanks is limited early on, and bosses end up doing a ton of damage to the point where one or two extra tanks don't help a whole lot.

Also, I really don't get how Chozo-X makes everything okay at the end?

Eh, I don't think there were enough cards in each color to make it interesting.

Green/Orange seemed like the optimal choice since Blue just draws cards (which in most card games would be very good) but the limitation of four lanes makes it so you can't really do anything with those cards

Don't get me wrong, wage stagnation is a problem, and minimum wage has not grown with the rate of inflation in either the US/Canada, and it is hilarious to see market forces at work with companies having to offer more money in order to attract employees. I actually grinded enough to put together a gem deck by fighting the training dummy a bunch.

Gems still sucked. They don't combine well with any of the other mechanics, and even if you make a dedicated gem deck you probably only want two out of the three colors.

Have you actually tried this? In my experience, it didn't work. You can skip extinguishing the 'apartment complex' by being dead to walk past the alarm, yes, but there's still a guy hanging out in the basement, and you get only one chance to get past him or that it's for the loop. I was really startled by it, because the game doesn't even give you a musical cue like usual to let you know you're in danger, or have been discovered.

I have not. That's pretty lame.

Beated.

Stealth sucked, but it seems like only the well required it, since it's unlikely you'll know the trick to bypass it there. I think the DLC would be improved by switching the slides for Starlit Cove and Shrouded Woodlands so that you learn about being dead to bypass the alarms, allowing you to skip the stealth entirely.

Also, I wish the game were more clear about the end of the DLC, since I didn't realize I had finished at first. I did really enjoy meeting the prisoner and showing him the results of his action.

Also, the changes to the main ending were pretty nice-- love that the prisoner being present causes a new race of secretive creatures in the next universe.

The issue is more with having to link a Facebook account and general fuckery from Facebook trying to control the market.

Maybe a hot take here, too, but I don't believe it's possible to have an immersive first person gaming experience where you have floating armless hands.

I ironically find this to be the least immersive looking RE4 port to date.

The fact that this is the standard across VR FP games in general kind of ruins the medium to me. I legit don't think the technology is ready to move forward with VR gaming yet, and the fact that it was such a flash in the pan that has tapered off is telling.

Have you actually played such VR games or are you basing this off of trailers/videos?

Because watching a video to judge the immersiveness of a VR game is like watching a video ad to judge the quality of a higher-resolution screen.

The meaning behind the name 'Comirnaty' Comirnaty is an agglomeration of the words Covid-19 immunity and mRNA, the latter indicating the technology that makes the vaccine work. As a whole, the word is intended to evoke community, a Brand Institute executive said.

That's...amazing. But in a bad way.

There were some really good parts to the story-- the Lutece twins were delightful whenever they showed up to tease at aspects of story, and the game did some really interesting things relating it to the rest of the series.

But the plot point of taking the revolution leader and suddenly making her try to kill a child as some sort of "everyone is bad once they get a taste of power!" message still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. And then they somehow went and made it worse in the DLC.

Also if anyone is asking, do not play the DLC if you care about the story.

CA Court rules Prop 22 is unconstitutional.

https://twitter.com/JeongPark52/status/1428876730681286661

Prop 22 was the CA proposition that defined app-based/gig workers as independent contractors rather than employees and the benefits that would confer to them and the obligations on the companies like Uber, etc. It had passed back in 2020 but this court has ruled it unconstitutional because it also included a clause that required 7/8's in both chambers of the state legislature to amend it in any way. Said clause was ruled to unconstitutionally limit the power of future legislatures to exert their authority in defining said workers.

Uber, Lyft, etc. saying they'll appeal the ruling.

I've also called my regular grocery store looking for certain items to see whether or not I need to go to the bougie-ass grocery store to find it instead.

How is the news cycle, let alone his fanbase, prepared for this level of nuance? That fact is Biden ended the war that he claimed he would end. I'm sure there's a way to spin it, but it would be very difficult.

I mean, I think it would be even less nuanced than you think. It would just focus on the situation being a "disaster" that happened on Biden's watch. Blah blah, 20 years of sacrifice from heroic Americans, etc.

We're not dealing with the highest caliber of thinkers, so I'm pretty sure that'd be sufficient.
