Mayo is essential for certain things. BLTs really benefit from mayo, for instance.

This is more an indictment of BLTs than anything else

A properly-made BLT is both delicious and simple to make. Though I have to admit that the "L" in the BLT is easily the weakest link and can be subbed out for spinach with arguably better results. But mayo is non-optional because you need something creamy and acidic to make the sandwich work. Tomatoes are not acidic enough on their own.

As an aside, I think the one thing that really makes a BLT exceptional is frying the bread in bacon grease (sourdough works best in my opinion).

Man, if there's even any debate over which one is better, I don't think I'm even gonna bother with PH.

Also I just did the flute minigame for the fire temple and I think the DS mic was picking up background noise, which made it nearly impossible.

I've spent a lot of my last year on the bus to and from work playing DS games I never got far into or hadn't played in a decade. This was one of them. It wasn't good.

If you've got the whip, you've at least gotten fairly far into the ocean dungeon in the southeast section of the map. Probably beaten it unless you're in the habit of leaving Zelda dungeons halfway finished in order to embark on ridiculous sidequests - in friggin Spirit Tracks, no less. In which case you probably either need to go back to the Spirit Tower and do a segment there to unlock the northeast section of the map; or, you've already done that and need to head to the northeast section of the map to do stuff that will eventually unlock the next dungeon.

Edit: Come to think of it, there's one part where you need to buy some special ice or something and haul it back to the northeast quadrant on your train for use on some lava or hot rocks or something in Goron Village? Considering where you were, you might have been in the middle of trying to do that.

This is essentially the reason I've come back to the game. I have an extremely long commute, and I decided what the hell, I'll finish this.

This is pretty helpful, thanks! The ice thing does sound familiar. I'll check the spirit tower and see if I can unlock more of the map.

I started playing this game years ago and then put it down midway through. Now I'm trying to pick it up and finish it, but I have no idea what the hell I'm doing any more.

I was at Snowdrift Station, walked into what I though was a dungeon but then it turned out to be an optional thing that just gave me an alchemy stone worth 2500 rupees.

I have the snake whip, the boomerang, bombs, and the leaf fan. Where do I go next?

Yeah, a lot of the games I've played have been because I live close to a board game cafe with a huge selection.

I definitely recommend City of Iron: 2nd Edition-- it's a pretty neat take on deckbuilding combined with economic/city building. But I've liked most of the games Red Raven Games has put out-- Eight Minute Empire: Legends is another good one for filling a short time period.

Yomi is also really cool, and it's probably the 2 player game I've played the most. It's essentially a fighting game where each deck of 52 cards represents a different character. Technically you only need two character decks, but the game really shines when you have access to all of the decks, since it's nice to be able to try out different characters and see how each one plays relative to one another. Each character has attacks, throws, dodges, and blocks (plus some special abilities on cards and the character card). The basic premise is out-thinking your opponent since attack beats throw, throw beats dodge, and dodge/block beat attack (in different ways).

Never played Time's Up so I can't really comment. Although I'm reminded of a game in the pictionary/charades category where one team sees the word first and orders the methods for describing that word by point value (so something like acting = 1 point, drawing = 2 points, etc). Then one person on the other team chooses a method and tries to get their team to guess the word. Anyone know what game this is? (Hopefully it's not on the list...I'd feel a bit silly)

Games I would have liked to see on this list:
City of Iron: 2nd Edition (or any of the games by Red Raven Games)
Castles of Mad King Ludwig
Vitaculture
Yomi

Out of curiosity, how are you capturing this data? In the case of a mobile redirect, if the user navigates back to the page, the ad that's redirecting will likely have already refreshed, so I don't know if you'd be able to get any useful info on this.

I can share the landing page, although that might have limited usefulness if the advertiser/buyer is chaining redirects or spoofing the landing page in some way.

I don't understand why ads aren't pre-screened before appearing on the website?

Ads typically are. The problem is that because ads run on an auction model with a lot of new ads/advertisers coming in, it gets harder to stop people who are really dedicated conserving a bad ad.

As an example, one of the common practices is to screen an ad by running it in a sandbox environment before it even reaches the page. But people running bad ads have gotten wise to this and will send info for a more innocuous ad to get past the sandbox sandbox, then send the bad ad once they get through.

I mean it makes sense that someone was able to take advantage of the power vacuum left from the death of the emperor/vader. But it seems strange that it's just some dude no one ever heard of befroe then-- I guess he's from the outer rim?

I mean, it makes sense to me if you consider that kamikaze attacks have always had limited effectiveness in war because you're sacrificing a lot--ships don't come cheap.

The attack in the movie only worked because the First Order ships were explicitly not firing on Holdo's ship while she slowly turned around and they were conveniently in a straight line. If they were in a looser formation, it would have been 1 for 1 at best ( no guarantee the enemy ship actually gets destroyed from this, just as many ships in WW2 were repaired after kamikaze attacks).

Even if you loaded a big ship with a droid for a single purpose attack, that's a lot of equipment going into something that might not actually be that successful. Also I was under the impression that hyperspace drives for ships that big don't come cheap, but I could be wrong about that.

Think how effective destroying the SSD and the SD fleet at Endor would have been, which was tightly bunched up, with that tactic would have been. That would have been a staggering trade in favor of the rebellion. Staggering. It would have honestly maybe even have tipped almost the entire scale of the war with a single ship to sacrifice.
