As someone who lives in the bay area it's San Francisco, at least as far as west coast cities go (I've never been to the east coast outside of Atlanta for work once)

At least LA has been gentrified by things other than just the tech industry

I wonder if there's a disparity between how the game is viewed as part of the series in it's home territory, versus here where it was lightning in a bottle with a huge Nintendo of America push. There's still an enormous number of people that only played Symphonia and nothing else, I think (maybe not on this board specifically, but I know there are a few).

It's amazing after how many years the poor and working class hasn't risen up by now with the absolutely amazing gap between the rich and the poor.

Racism is being extremely overstated here, especially professionally. You have zero metrics to back this claim up. The poor are pushed down by the environments they are subjected to and by not having money to do better for themselves.

It's again an economic and wealth issue.

If everyone was magically no longer racist minorities wouldnt be at the bottom of the socioeconomic landscape any more. There would be no preference for race in any situation and eventually all races would probably genetically become one race after enough time passed

Elden Ring is doing great here. Is it worth it to try as someone who did not like the early minutes of Dark Souls 1? It seems cool to watch and all, but I do not like being able to be attacked while menuing and I don't deal well with games having lots of tension through fear built into their worlds (Bioshock and Resident Evil 4 are the scariest games I've beaten). Does Elden Ring go those directions?

If it help regarding open-world games, I loved Breath of the Wild and do not particularly care for Skyrim -- I just kinda screw around in Elder Scrolls games.
