Burgers really shouldnt be part of this. This is like a squares and rectangles situation. All squares are rectangles, but not all rectangles are squares, and we place enough distinction between the two (rightly or wrongly) that they are basically thought of as different. When youre a little kid learning what various shapes are, you dont just learn what a rectangle is. The square gets its own special focus. Similarly, while a burger may meet the definition of a sandwich, it is very much its own thing enough to where it should not be in a sandwich Rushmore contest. If anything, burgers should have their own Rushmore.

But I dont expect people to stop voting for burgers here. As a burger fan, I would only hope that the various votes for burger and hamburger and cheeseburger are counted together so that they dont end up working against each other.

And since burgers are likely going to be included here whether I like it or not, I will cast four votes for my current four favorite burgers.

The Jubal Anderson Early burger, from the Blue & Gray Bar & Grill in Gettysburg, PA. This is a sports bar with burgers named for Civil War generals. Depending on whether the burger you get is named for a Union officer or a Confederate officer, they serve it to you with a small Union or Confederate flag. Theres also one of those huge amount of food challenges where if you can finish it within a certain amount of time, you win the challenge (in this case I think they dont charge you and give you a free shirt if you can do it. Its called the Picketts Charge Challenge. Ill post images of their burger options and a link to someone doing the challenge at the bottom of this, I encourage anyone who can go to do it because the theming makes it a lot of fun. But anyway, the Jubal Anderson Early is my favorite.

The ABC Burger, from B-Mans Teriyaki & Burgers.

The Amboy DH Burger, from Amboy Quality Meats & Delicious Burgers. I met Alvin Cailan when I went there!

Irvs Original Roadside Burger, from Irvs Burgers.

Heres the Blue & Gray burger menu:

Solo > Rogue One.

That said, Ewoks: The Battle for Endor > both.

Disney has not inspired any confidence in its ability to put out Star Wars movies. Rogue One is just about the epitome of mediocrity, Solo is only slightly better, and these are the best movies so far in the Disneyverse. When one of the only positive things I can think of to say about them is At least theyre better than The Rise of Skywalker, its a sad state of affairs.

This is a tricky one, but, in trying to take as an objective of an outlook as possible, I think I have a list that can stand up against anyone elses.

Donald L. Trump, who has dedicated his life to the study of oncology and helped bring it to the forefront of fields with names that people dont know what they mean.

William Trump, soldier and Silver Star recipient who participated in the invasion of Normandy during World War II.

Chrystelle Trump Bond, whose deft and insightful commentary made The Baltimore Sun a shining example of contemporary dance analysis.

The Bachelor

The top omission here would be a food/cooking show, which would be Iron Chef (if it counts?).

...a lot of people aren't reading the rules. Way too many of these nominations came from books! (Gruber is different than the villain in the book on which Die Hard is sorta based, even though he has the same last name.) I'd have nominated Blofeld from James Bond instead of Dr. Evil if he didn't come from a book first.

However, if a villain's original form of media is largely forgotten/significantly dwarfed in popularity by the prevalence of the movie(s), then they count as a Movie Villain.

Super Mario World
Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddys Kong Quest

And now for two personal picks.

Fire Emblem: Monsh no Nazo: still one of the very best FE games in my opinion. Getting both a remake of the first game and a whole second game following up on it was amazing. Playing Book II of FE3 was one of the most captivating gaming experiences Ive ever had.

The Lost Vikings II: Blizzard did more than Diablo/Warcraft/Starcraft. Going with the sequel, which I feel improved on the original. These games are great fun to play with another person: even though only one person will be at the controller, the nature of the games allows for you and whoever is with you to figure out the way forward together. I played these alone when I was younger, then again in the last few years with my now fiance, and I really recommend everyone give both Lost Vikings games a try with someone else right next to you. You wont regret it.

Rainbow Ride

Lethal Lava Land

Those four, to me, are the best overall combinations of being challenging (in a relative sense), worth exploring, and just plain fun.

Black Sabbath: Paranoid

^I have a very, very hard time choosing between the first three Black Sabbath albums as to which is their overall best (I have Vol. 4 as #6, the fifth and sixth albums in either order as #5 and #4, and then the first three duking it out for the top three spots), but there is no denying that Paranoid is the bands signature album with their most well-known songs like War Pigs (my favorite), Iron Man, and the title track. The quality does not stop there, the deeper cuts are excellent (Hand of Doom, for example). Its just a terrific album.

Judas Priest: British Steel

^A Judas Priest album needs to be here, and, while there are definitely better albums (Painkiller comes to mind, or my personal favorite of theirs, Stained Class), British Steel must be their most commercially accepted album. And even if I dont believe this is their best, its still pretty damn good. Obviously Breaking the Law and Living After Midnight are two of their most famous songs, and youve got great others like Metal Gods and The Rage. I dont really care for United, but thats a big concert hit.

Metallica: Master of Puppets

^It has to be either Master of Puppets or the Black Album (although if I were picking a personal favorite, it would be a hard call between Master of Puppets and Ride the Lightning). While the latter is the bigger commercial success with songs like Enter Sandman, Wherever I May Roam, and The Unforgiven (and I think there are some great, lesser-known songs on the album as well), I really think that Master of Puppets has to be acknowledged for being the more metal of the two. The title track is killer (those of you saying you dont know much about metal may recall hearing it in the movie Old School), and you have another very well known song of theirs in Welcome Home (Sanitarium) which is terrific. Im going to stand up for some lesser-known songs here as well: the instrumental Orion is one of my favorite overall Metallica cuts, and so is Damage, Inc. I also love Leper Messiah.

Candlemass: Epicus Doomicus Metallicus

^Ill readily admit that the objective answer for the fourth kind of has to be Number of the Beast by Iron Maiden, but I honestly never got into Iron Maiden when I tried listening to their stuff in the past. Which is kind of a sacrilegious thing to say when it comes to metal, but whatever. So instead Ill use my last slot to highlight perhaps the most classic doom metal album. Six amazing songs, with the opener Solitude probably being the most well-known (I love how both Black Sabbath and Candlemass have songs titled Solitude). My favorite is probably a toss up between Black Stone Wielder and A Sorcerers Pledge. The former is sort of one of these build up songs and when they finally let loose and kick it into high gear toward the end is just amazing. The latter makes excellent use of some female vocalizing to help emphasize parts of the story being told in the lyrics as well as some almost death metal growling the first time that Johan Langqvist gets to the when the sorcerer will rise! lyric. The second time he comes to that lyric, he goes for a more operatic scream and the contrast of just the different deliveries of that specific line is one of my favorite things going on. As for the aforementioned story being told in the lyrics, its appropriately fascinating and creepy.

^I think these three all make a lot of sense. For my fourth pick Im going with one that I doubt anyone else will say, but which I really loved, which is KaBlam! If it counts, that is. Some might say it wasnt totally a toon, and I can see that.

Ill add the following in reference to a show Im not selecting: while I loved Hey, Arnold!, I grew to dislike it while I was still a little kid. After however long of watching it, Arnold turned into the very first character in anything whom I disliked because he just seemed like too much of a goody-two-shoes, and that kind of ruined the show for me. Would be curious to know if anyone felt the same way.
