It has been a while since I've gotten into a new series, and since I never played this one, I figure I'll give it a shot.

So, just because I'm curious as to what other people think, how would you rank the three primary games of the series?

Also, how does it stack up against other Playstation series from around its time?

How is something being kiddy even a legitimate complaint if you're older than 13? Should in no way effect your enjoyment, which if you played through the two main games, you must have had a decent amount of.

I'm not saying anything about my own enjoyment (but since you brought it up, I think they were decent). I'm commenting on the fact that KH is never referred to as a "kiddie" game around here, whereas any given Nintendo game almost always is, and it's pretty obvious that KH is way more "kiddie." And before everyone accuses me of being a Nintendo fanboy, Square is actually my favorite developer. It seems to me that the only reason KH gets a pass on the "kiddie" aspect around here is because it's a Square game. I love Square, but KH is definitely kiddie.

You may legitimately have the worst sig on gamefaqs.

Bah, thought it was clever when I made the account, never cared enough to change it.

"Omg I can't believe how kiddy this game is. Just to make sure I'm right I'm going to beat the first game, then buy and beat the second game."

Closer to "I always hear good things about this series, I'm going to give it a shot" resulting in "This is extremely kiddie." Nice try, though.

Seriously, I've just played 1 and 2 in the past six or so weeks and it's laughable to me that as much crap as (insert game) gets for being a "kiddie" game, nobody ever mentions Kingdom Hearts. My God, the Little Mermaid play along with the song stuff? These games make Kirby look like the darkest, most mature series ever made.

I made a topic the other day asking what the best Crash game was, but it seems that Jak & Daxter is also made by Naughty Dog. Why all the interest in Playstation platformers? I'm just looking for a good PS platoforming series to get into.

So, which series would you say is better, and what is the best game from both series (I'm not too concerned about going in chronological order)?

Also, is it true that Jak & Daxter turned into a more action-oriented series as it went on?

Is the gameplay very linear? Just looking at some clips online, it looks like it's very much a Point A to Point B kind of thing. Is that true, or is it more of a thing like Super Mario 64 where you can explore a large area and complete objectives in non-linear orders?

Also, what would you say the best game in the entire series is?
