Firewatch has openly stated it supports streamers, says on their website that they give permission for let's plays and streaming, then advertises and comments on some streamers who streamed their game.

Now after the fact they want to accuse Pewdiepie of copyright infringment because he said a rude word.

That's utterly absurd.

He did nothing that violated copyright, you can't just pretend someone broke a law they didn't just because you don't like them.

Hilariously, the people breaking copyright are the various sources and newsites that are the ones violating copyright when they share Pewdiepie's video unedited with no commentary or transformation. That's infringing copyright.

Anyone who sides with the developers here is at best ignorant and at worst a complete [Censored by Error].

A 6-year-old boy is in a serious condition after he was run over while playing in a stationary car in Germiston, paramedics said on Sunday.

“The boy was playing in a parked vehicle in the driveway and managed to release the park brake,” said Netcare911 spokesperson Nick Dollman in a statement.

“When he got out of the vehicle, it started to move down the gradient and ran over him.”

Paramedics attended to the scene of the accident which happened on Saturday evening and treated the child who was seriously injured.

“Due to the extent of his injuries, the Netcare911 specialised helicopter ambulance was called to the scene and airlifted the child to a trauma unit.”

The boy is currently recovering in a Johannesburg trauma unit.

Non Christians always get really excited when they see shit like this but what they don't realize is this has gone on for many many decades.

The "Good News" Christian folks are to blame. They believe the morals and the word of God is so important, not how it is worded. And actively publish the bible and biblical stories in every lingo and terminology you care to name.

I remember having a Cockney bible from the 60s. And a really retrospectively hilarious kids one from the 90s where it was like "And Peter said 'Awesome! That's totally rad!" and things like that.

Honestly name pretty much any dialect or lingo that you can think of and chances are there is a bible written in it.

This is a known thing.

The issue is they're not talking about "Triple A" or console games like we discuss on this site.

They're talking about things like Peggle, Farmville, Cany Crush etc and the slew of mobile and broswer games that are immensely popular.

Nothing wrong with them (IMO) but it's kinda dishonest to say "Most gamers are girls." when the fact is people who talk about "Gamers" aren't talking about people who play Peggle while waiting for the bus.

Talk about COD, Witcher, GOW, Mass Effect, Persona, Mortal Kombat, Zelda, Sonic, Madden, Assassin's Creed etc and it's still male dominated. Even services like Steam are male dominated.

Sweden's main organization for Jews is appealing a police decision to grant the openly racist neo-Nazi group the Nordic Resistance Movement (NRM) permission to stage a march near a synagogue in Gothenburg on September 30th.

The march will not only fall on the same day as the holy Jewish holiday Yom Kippur – a day of atonement observed by fasting and praying – it will also pass close to a Gothenburg synagogue.

“It’s the day of the year when many Jews who normally don’t go to the synagogue will gather there. On this day, the police have decided to grant the neo-Nazi Nordic Resistance Movement permission to march through Gothenburg, no more than a stone’s throw away from the synagogue,” Aron Verständig, chairman of The Official Council of Swedish Jewish Communities, and Allan Stutzinky, chairman of the Jewish Community in Gothenburg, wrote in an opinion piece in daily newspaper Svenska Dagbladet.

“Aside from out of fear for our own security, it evokes uncomfortable associations for us Jews. During the Holocaust it wasn’t unusual for the German Nazis to conduct their horrendous atrocities on the most important days of the Jewish calendar,” they added.

The NRM had initially sought permission to stage the march on one of Gothenburg’s main avenues, Kungsportsavenyn, but were only granted a permit if they agreed to change the route. The new route will pass not far from the synagogue.

“Let them stay in the periphery, where they belong,” Verständig and Stutzinky said.

Several counterprotests are expected to be held to demonstrate against the NRM.

Earlier this year, anti-racism foundation Expo said that the NRM was the driving force behind a surge in neo-Nazi activity in Sweden in 2016, with propaganda-spreading including the distribution of flyers and stickers their most common form of activity.

"They're at the most extreme end of this white supremacist area. There's a lot of crime associated with them, they have a relationship with violence," Expo researcher Jonathan Leman told The Local at the time.

The widow of a man who was shot in a suspected hate crime in February is threatened with deportation from the U.S. Sunayana Dumala is the widow of Srinivas Kuchibhotla, who died after being shot at a restaurant in Kansas City, the Kansas City Star reports.

Republican Rep. Kevin Yoder was outraged to hear the news that Dumala feared not being able to come back to the U.S. after traveling to India for Kuchibhotla's funeral. "We are not going to deport the widow of the victim of a hate crime," Yoder, who worked with Dumala to secure a visa extension for a year, said on Sept. 7.

Efforts are still being made to secure a long-term future in the country for Dumala, who was applying for a green card with her husband when he died. "On the fateful night of Feb. 22, I not only lost my husband but also my immigration status," she wrote in an email to the Star on Sept. 8. "I'm very fortunate that many people came to my rescue to get me back on a temporary status ... and are continuing to work on a permanent fix," she added.

Yoder believes there are larger problems with America's immigration system, and he is pushing for a reform that would make it easier for skilled immigrants to obtain permanent residency rights. Yoder is the lead sponsor of the Fairness for High-Skilled Immigrants Act, which was introduced in Congress in July.

The U.S. is capped at issuing 120,000 green cards per year and only 7 percent of cards can go to recipients from any single country. This means that applicants from large countries, like India, have to wait much longer to obtain green cards than people from smaller countries.

Yoder wants to lift the 7 percent cap.

"We don't have many people coming here from Scotland or Germany because they don't want to come here," immigration lawyer Mira Mdivani told the Star. "The economy of their countries are strong enough to keep them there. We are so fortunate to have people from India, China and the Philippines who want to bring their talents to our country."

Yoder hopes his initiative, which enjoys bipartisan support and the backing of more than 100 members of Congress, could be taken up as part of discussions on legislation to replace the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.

Democratic Sen. Dick Durbin of Illinois said on Sept. 8 he is confident Congress can pass a measure to replace DACA before the program expires in six months. "What I've heard from Republicans is if you'll give us border security, we can consider supporting the Dream Act, so that's where the conversation is today," Durbin told WLS.
