If I could plan for all of this stuff... just imagine, picking up life insurance just in time for it to kick in so your loved ones would be cared for. Having your funeral and burial properly arranged. The only downside is not being able to tell people so they could schedule their lives around my funeral, but even then, having everything taken care of would be great.

I never did get to watch the entirety of Marty.

Apparently, it felt more like a console game than a PC game. Universal ammo upset some players, too.

Not only are they fantastic on they're own, they are also a component in many pastries and sweets I simply cannot do without. Giving up eggs also means giving up... cookies....

Only certain kinds of cookies. Thicker cookies like snickerdoodles have eggs; chocolate chip cookies do not.

Reject the offer. I have a lot of favorite foods, and while losing one wouldn't be a tragedy, the knowledge I couldn't have it would drive me mad.

There are perfectly good women available who aren't otherwise attached. There are two at my workplace who've caught my eye. But this woman... if I could create my dream woman, physically, she's pretty close to it. I barely know her as anything other than the cashier at Walmart. (Although she now has a name tag, so I know she's Diana.)

Oh, it makes me a monster and an all-around bad person, I'll give you that. But does it speak more to my loneliness, or is it a subconscious desire to remain alone that I want someone I can't have?

You get used to them after a while. The first couple of times, it felt like my head was on a swivel. Now I take them, and it feels like you said: your body starts working, even if your mind has to catch up.

Best flavor is orange, followed by grape, then berry, and lemon-lime tastes like suffering. But orange is definitely drinkable, grape is a little like an off-brand of those Hug juices they used to give you as a kid, berry is tolerable, and I never want to taste another lemon-lime 5HE as long as I live.

Not enough love for this. When I was unemployed, The Andy Griffith Show was a small comfort I could watch and not feel like I was going to die in a gutter somewhere.

Is it at least a nice fursuit, or is it one of those raggedy ones that you see people wearing at children's birthday parties? I mean, could I at least pass it off as an eccentric, "Look at my kick-ass Taz outfit," or would it just be an embarrassing pull-over cloth with a zipper?

One of my biggest pet-peeves about Christianity in the old-testament is how some Christians just seem completely and totally obsessed with co-opting the whole thing and making it all about Jesus. It's like, come on people, you already have your OWN Bible that is completely and explicitly about Jesus. Do we really need to claim the Old Testament too? Can't we just let the Jews have their bible and their religion and everything?

I'm convinced that if it wasn't for Isiah, this type of thing wouldn't happen NEARLY as often as it does. Isiah is pretty much the only book in the Old Testament for which making it about Jesus is a fairly legitimate thing to do. However, people then take this and do it to every OTHER book. The only reason Isiah is all that important, well know, and often-quoted is because Jesus actually came and early Christians felt the need to justify themselves by pointing to earlier Jewish scriptures and prophecy. But can't we get past that now?

Hate to get all fundamentalist on you, but no. The Old Testament is the foundation of the New Testament. Without the Old Testament providing a basis for anything, Jesus becomes some magic guy who suddenly comes along, walks on water, makes some wine and dies on a cross in the end. With the Old Testament, there's a direct lineage that makes him the descendant of King David, which to Jews is a huge deal.

I've always been a bit wary of the idea of teleportation. The idea, correct me if I'm wrong, is that if you're destroyed and then a copy of you is made on the other end. But then doesn't that mean that you're dead? Sure, the copy will have all your memories and personalities and everything, but it will not be the original, made from the same cells. You have ceased to be and been replaced with a copy.

And that worries me.

Not a slippery slope. The damage has been done. There is now legal precedent from the SCOTUS that allows governments to force people into contracts in the guise of taxation. Absolutely pissing on hundreds of years of common law.

Imagine Nostalgia Chick doing a Sarah Palin impression. Now imagine that even if it were any good (it's embarrassing), it goes on for way too long.

That's when I stopped watching.

I stopped watching TGWTG a while ago, round about the time they were doing their Kickassia special. That just got so painful to watch that I couldn't be bothered anymore. I just go to a couple of the reviewer's sites now, and I don't miss Walker's stuff one bit.

I've got to disagree. Upton's got big boobs and generally attractive qualities, but nothing about her really strikes me as exotic. That's what I like in women, something striking.

I like the colors, but not enough to swap my aqua blue.

I don't know what this game is the lady's talking about, but I'm already intrigued. Almost sold, even.

He's there. $40,038, at last check.

Just under $9,000 to go. I'm glad he's trying to put such a positive spin on this. It'd be quite easy to succumb to bitterness and spiteful behavior.

What exactly is wrong with "coming out" being a coming of age thing, Uglyface?

It just bothers me that this is so celebrated, like it's a good thing when it's really just a thing. Saying that you're gay gets nearly everyone to slap you on the back and say you're great, while being me means... well, I'm sure you can work that out from the last couple of pages.

I'm just saying that this isn't a bat mitzvah. It's a guy telling his dad, "Hey, I'm sexually aroused by men." It shouldn't be as big a deal as society makes it out to be.

I don't think I called myself "gay" per se, but I definitely mentioned the lack of attractive gay dudes and he was all "be careful with that" and I never corrected him to say "well ACTUALLY I mean being celibate" so yeah

For the record, none of my animosity is directed at you or the fact you're gay. I'm more angry that it's... you know what? I can't really put it into words. Maybe it's the fact that my inability to get a date, and the fact that that's hysterical, but you're gay and everyone is hip-hip-hooray, and that's what society is like. Call it bitterness, but it's really not personal.

You'd have found ample reason to hate any other era you were born into.

The 1800's had cholera, and the 1950's had dirty beatniks, so you're probably right.

When did this "coming out" thing become such a huge event? If you're that uncomfortable with your parents knowing, then why is it any of their business?

People trying to make this a "coming of age" thing, it's stupid. And then celebrating because he told his parents that he's gay? Seriously, so what? If I told my parents that I'm absolutely terrified of dating women, would it get this much celebration? Doubtful.

I hate this era.
