Ah dang, was wondering when I was gonna bite it. I'm quite happy to see Stargazer rated as highly as it did, especially after seeing so many metal nominations fall around the 50's and below.

This song, and the album it came from, was something I just stumbled into one day. I was just looking for some background music for some gaming and wanted to sample some songs in my collection that I hadn't previously listened to. I was a little uncertain about the album at first with mediocre tracks 1 and 2, but then this beast of a song played on track 3 and I was pretty instantly captivated. I could definitely recommend the rest of the album too, but this one will always be the one to stand out for me.

Seed was something of a spiritual remake of the original series. It also was super popular for some reason. I remember it being pretty alright when I watched it, but nothing exceptional.

Now that you've gotten the original series under your belt, there's a whole slew of OVA content you could consume, if you're interested, that help flesh out this timeline to a pretty absurd degree.

Where did that even start? Culture osmosis has had it going around for generations, despite the untruth of it. I have to think that the only media that would take the idea at face value would be a comedy sketch.

The battle pass is the battle pass. The daily/weekly missions are good excuses to keep you on track with interacting with most of the game mechanics. Obviously worth more if you pay into it (and some of the weapons are quite nice to have), but it is ultimately just a small boost in progression either way. The best value remains the Welkin Moon deal.

The real cash grab is the gacha rates, the battle pass is just a neat little extra that people dipping their toes into spending can enjoy.

I'm content to quietly forget this exists until a year later when I see it on my wishlist and go "Hmm, maybe this will be the year I purchase you" before resuming forgetfulness until a topic gets made here that the game is now complete and also costs like 50 cents.

Alternatively, I might accidentally buy it in a humble bundle where it will sit patiently in my library collecting dust like Hiveswap. One day I will play you...one day.

Can't be peak anime, not until we reenact the series proper.

And if there is any accuracy among the segment of the internet I consulted, the gundam loses this fight due to being unable to penetrate the AT field. I imagine some of the later iterations/alternate universe gundams would put up a more reasonable fight.

Some people would kill to have that kind of control. Some people kill to have that kind of control. Make your bed.

No problems on my end. Had some fun with some pals going to various mining spots to stock up on crystals and the rock material for the lanterns. Naturally some enemies and plants were grabbed along the way. Ended up making 100 lanterns, which I feel will be probably enough for the event. My F key and left index finger hopes so, at least.

The Theater Mechanicus is about what I expected it to be. Very much a watered down tower defense, but a refreshing experience in the game nonetheless. My biggest complaint with it is the amount of time between waves to select which special perk/challenge you want is a bit short, but even that became much more bearable after a couple times through.

I had Ganyu, so I naturally preferred building hydro towers. A pal of mine focused on Pyro and the recovery towers. We discovered a dash of electric helped a fair bit too. We ended up with far more of the hammer currency than we could hope to spend. All in all, the max level we could do today was plenty forgiving, but we've seen how difficulty can ramp up in later phases in events before...I'm hoping some of the top end challenge levels are sufficiently hard.

Quite an extensive day of Genshin for me with all the new quests and deliveries and new game mode to absorb. Gonna be hard to go back to the normal daily grind after this.

Patiently waiting to see how this tower defense mode goes. I've heard Jean is easy mode due to flinging enemies off, but I lack her.

I do got Ganyu though, so freeze should be something for me to focus on. I imagine Kaeya or any other cryo will perform well too. It actually helps that this isn't about dps, but rather what E skills and elements can be plonked down.

The world of business decisions can be a wonky one compared to reality, so I can totally buy someone in some meeting discussed ways to pay homage to the classic games, with this being the result. Sample a little ditty, jazz it up a bit, and here we are.

Could equally be the sound guy's own decisions to use the sound library as inspiration. Could equally be a happy coincidence.

Regardless of how it occurred, it is pretty neat that the connection can be made.

Finally passed the intro with the first few characters and a couple quests after that. It sucks how there's so many arbitrary limits on quests and ascensions and such.

I also don't really know what best to do with the wishes. I got Noelle but the rest of my wishes I'm just rolling randomly and getting mediocre weapons. Should I save up for the 10x ones? Or wait for different wishes to show up? The percentages seem so low too.
Single or 10x doesn't really matter much. They're the same statistically. The percentages are indeed low, but getting a roster of good 4* units will be more important than any particular 5* right now, and you're guaranteed a 4* at least 1 per 10 pulls. This banner and the next one have some nice ones to pick from, so make sure you're rolling on the limited banner and not the weapon or standard banner.

As far as limits on quests and ascensions...the grind is very real, but smart use of resources will help ease pains. Take a long view of the game and focus your attention on a few units rather than spread out resources too much and you should be fine.

Why, 100 parts per billion rounds right down to zero, so it can't possibly be a problem! Besides, if the baby wants to eat something else, they're more than welcome to pull themselves up by their bootstraps and get an honest job so that they can buy the food they want to eat, like McDonald's or a cool refreshing Coca-cola!

I was informed about this game existing earlier today by a friend. When I went to look at steam discussion for the lulz, I discovered 'no butt, no buy' type topics and was quite amused at people feeling so passionate about Miranda's posterior.

Frankly, I'm more annoyed at it requiring origin, making the steam version little more than a promotional ad for such. Why would I want to tie it to steam such that I would need to have both steam and origin going at once?

Thankfully, I can rest assured that modders will solve all of these issues, making all of this pretty much a pointless nonissue.

Plus, I expect r34 artists to have a field day with such revived interest in Miranda's behind. Everybody wins!

Did some artifact voodoo on my phys dps zhongli. Finally FINALLY found a glad piece worthy of swapping out a bloodstained piece for so that I could swap a different piece that was basically perfect for him.

The end result being he now hits normally for 2k-ish damage and crits for around 6k. He's still got some growth potential if I want to min-max his artifacts better, as two are kinda meh, but I've hit the point where I'd be better served getting someone else's artifacts up to a similar level.

Yeah, I had to futz around with it a bit too. After realizing that static red things like buildings/people's clothes didn't cut it, I moved on to the most red objects I could think of, the scarlet quartz items in Dragonspine, which...did not work, perhaps as an oversight.

Bit awkward to have this color choice right after doing BP item collection, but thankfully I still knew of lots of chilies/valberries I could use. Along the way I learned that sunsettias counted, as did fire flowers. Presumable apples would have too, so that eased my worries that one might accidentally farm out a color.

All in all, I'm fine with the event, and will probably wait towards the end to do any meaningful trading.

This game has my balls in a vise.

Less than 12 hours to go on this banner, I am determined to go for 1 last 4* in the slim hopes of getting a Noelle. She's thus far eluded my many pulls on this banner. I do my dailies, pull...no dice. I target abyss to do floor 9 and 10...no dice. Finally, I turn to the welkin moon offering...no dice. But...this is a repeatable purchase. So I shrug, thinking there are many ways to earn $5 even in the worst of times and go for it.

The 4* was inevitable at this point.

...

And it finally FINALLY happened! C5 Noelle is now mine, and I am keenly eyeing the one in the starglitter shop. Quite a few pulls we can do this month with all the events, I can surely gain the required amount. Then, my geo maid will know true power...

...right before I switch over to the OP Ganyu/Venti/Mona/Diona team.

Snorlax also exhibits clean simple aesthetic design elements that say a lot without being busy...he'd probably get along with Baymax. Snorlax also probably would not care about any of this or any of us. Snorlax is pretty alright now that I think about it. Snorlax would likely be a better president than anyone since Clinton. Feels like it is gonna take forever for the new content to get here, but we've got less than a week to go.

I want to see how much I can get my Ganyu built up before the new stuff hits. Should be able to get her to 80 with respectable-ish talents. Artifacts will likely still suck, but when is that not the case?

Apparently the current dream team for freeze is Ganyu/Mona/Venti/Diona. I lack the cat, but the core of the team is the former ones, the last slot is mostly flex options. I'm less certain about what I wanna put there.

For those voting Other, which character?
Less about wanting and more about not wanting for me. Xiao's playstyle doesn't really appeal to me. Hu Tao is fine, but probably not gonna put much effort towards getting her...I've got enough spears developed for now. Ayaka I know little about, and could probably use her, but also not someone I feel like I have to have...doesn't really speak to me aesthetically either.

Then there are all the future characters to weigh against this, and some of them like Lynette or Iansan will probably appeal to me more strongly than the immediately upcoming roster. It'll depend more which 4*'s I want to grab more of than which 5* I could get, if I pull on upcoming banners.
