They're mainly written to feel like Saturday morning cartoons with their episodic nature and goofy antics. They've been going on since ARR and mostly just serve as a breather activity in between all the seriousness of the MSQ. But the style of comedy isn't for everyone. And there's quite a few people who were upset they're being forced to go through them all just to access the Manderville weapons in Endwalker. The second area in Bozja, called Zadnor, is accessible at Lv71, and you can typically grind Fates there to Lv80 in a few hours. But yeah, it's not really a thing you can do solo, and it does take a while to get through it. I wouldn't say it sucks, though. I thought the story was alright. But yeah, the only Raids are Eden and the Nier stuff. Void Quests are an epilogue to the Role Quests. You had to do at least one Role Quest to complete ShB's MSQ, depending on whether you were DPS/Tank/etc. But if you do all five, the Void Quests are unlocked. You need to have also completed the Warring Triad Raid series from Heavensward to unlock them, which it looks like you have. That's where Unukalhai was introduced, to answer your question about him. He was the little boy in the white robe who acted as the quest giver in those Raids. I don't think Maleficent would've had quite the same oomph as the final boss. Especially since collecting the Ansem Reports should've had some building intrigue towards who this guy was. But I do agree the Disney villains should've kept being relevant threats after the first game. In KH2, Maleficent and Pete just kinda bumble around enacting Naruto filler episodes, and then KH3 somehow makes them even less relevant than that -- to the point where if they were completely cut, the plot wouldn't change. And after Birth by Sleep, most Disney worlds don't even have actual Disney villains as bosses anymore.
