Everything else should have been pureDisney. I only played 1. But I did watch a lets play of 2 and the organization 13 stuff is stupid

It is a shame that Disney villains got such a downgrade in the rest of the games. Maleficent is still scurrying about, but she's practically just comic relief compared to Xehanort and Xehanort and Xehanort and...

Ansem is one of my favorite fictional characters.

Yeah seriously, when they revealed Heartless Ansem I was like, wtf did he come from? My older sister had to point out to me that he was the one in the cloak at the beginning of the game lol.

Funny thing is that Xehanort isn't the only characters with multiple versions of him.

There's like 5 Soras and 4 Kairis as well. Plus like 2 or 3 Rikus.

I dunno it was kind of obvious to me that Ansem in KH1 was going to wind up being the main baddy. After collecting his reports throughout the game. Perhaps a last minute addition but narrative-wise, Squaresoft did stuff like this before.

Yeah, it felt pretty obvious that Ansem was a late-minute addition, but he was used effectively. I don't think Maleficent would've had quite the same oomph as the final boss. Especially since collecting the Ansem Reports should've had some building intrigue towards who this guy was.

But I do agree the Disney villains should've kept being relevant threats after the first game. In KH2, Maleficent and Pete just kinda bumble around enacting Naruto filler episodes, and then KH3 somehow makes them even less relevant than that -- to the point where if they were completely cut, the plot wouldn't change.

And after Birth by Sleep, most Disney worlds don't even have actual Disney villains as bosses anymore. It's just some giant Heartless/Unversed/Dream Eater/etc. Which is a real shame.
