Super campy and doesn't take itself too seriously (if at all) (until the shitty DLC). The gameplay is very fun and the characters are hilarious. There a few famous cutscenes, but it's really hard to describe the tone without playing it. For example, you go to see the king of Corneria with your party so the king can give you the quest to kill Chaos. The setting is a typical fantasy castle and all the NPCs are super serious typical fantasy characters. But your party is a group of misfits in street clothes and you don't take anything seriously. I didn't want to include roster slots for every playable race/class combination in both MMOs, because to do otherwise would have people asking "Well I play a Miqo'te, why is 14 only represented by a Hyur?" And yes, I do know that there are instanced fights in 14 where you play as specific NPC characters, but I'm not counting those. Partially because I never touched 11 in my life and wouldn't know which NPCs to even include in the bracket even if I wanted to. Besides, 128 is a tight enough fit just pulling the full rosters from fifteen games. Adding NPCs from 11 and 14 probably would have pushed the count over. That said, if there's enough support for including a generic avatar for 11 and 14's playable character, there are a few roster-filler characters that I could cut to squeeze them in. But only if enough people say they want it -- at this point, the bracket's pretty much finalized, and I'd rather not make every last minute change that's requested. Also going to mention that the only two characters I'd feel comfortable replacing at this point are currently matched against Yuna and Aerith on the bracket, so I kind of doubt that a generic 11 PC and a generic 14 PC would be able to beat either of them, thus making the whole thing a waste of time anyway. <cite>TMOG posted [p:972726821] in Best Final...
