| PumpkinCoach 05/08/22 9:27:02 PM #447 | class:y's song is solid, and does well in showing the group's potential imo. the show had a lot of talent and, sort of unusual for a survival show, really favoured vocalists over dancers (5 out of 7 were in the vocal position, 1 of the 2 dancers shot up to 1st in online votes after a vocal perf) so it's great that their debut song shows that off. contrast this with kep1er which has an insane dance line but mid choreo for their debut. also, really impressed by how much they've improved since the show, for a group with next to no formal training under an agency prior. they're from a non-produce survival show, and they're effectively under mbk so the deck is stacked against them, but i hope they get more attention in the future! --- https://i.imgur.com/CQr5Xab.gif this is a world... where azuarc eats gurus |

| PumpkinCoach 09/27/21 2:32:39 AM #166 | honestly, not sure if they were even caught off guard that much. i suspect we're only still voting by group this round, because they don't want to give the game away too soon. obviously k voters are not a monolith who will only vote for k group, but yeah, if the line-up not having enough koreans is a popular sentiment among koreans, then the mechanism to address that was in place from the start, and it's by having korean votes worth ~10 times what international votes are worth, and then you combine that with all the time they spend villifying c group and hiding j group. and man ikr, doah didn't even get as far as she did last time... i don't know if having 3 members on the show helped fanatics any, but i wish them luck. though by that point in the ep i was already numb from fu yaning's rank being low, and she's all i care about at this point (i mean i care about yujin, but she's going to make it anyway). i'm hoping 1 pick shakes up the ranks because the horserace aspect isn't much fun rn. there was 1 change from the first top 9 to the second, and the rest barely moved in rank. idk if this is what happens without rigging or if it's because the show has no buzz or traction with the gp so it's all entrenched voters, and none of the gimmicks like cells or the kcj split can make up for just a lack of interest. --- https://imgur.com/CQr5Xab this is a world... where azuarc eats gurus |

| PumpkinCoach 09/27/21 12:07:13 AM #164 | idk why anyone is surprised by the ratio in the current top 9. hell, the first top 9 barely managed to be 3:3:3 what with k02 and k03 at 8th and 9th. k votes are spread out while c and j are both top heavy because of who and how they're shown. now that qualifying is no longer limited by group, i suspect the current round will favour k group (even if it won't be reflected in the top 9 because, again, top heavy) most of which should have built more of a fanbase compared to a lot of c and j group (though results can still be unpredictable, because we won't really know who got by on filler votes until they're taken away). at he end of the day it doesn't matter though, since korean votes alone have 50% weight of the total, so the final group was always going to be dominantly korean at 1 pick. also, IOI wasn't rigged and that's the best line-up they've ever had! --- https://imgur.com/CQr5Xab this is a world... where azuarc eats gurus |
