I know once they broke the OT9 looks, each member has had more leeway to come into their own, and then of course at the time they were teenagers with MMLD kinda living in the past with outfits....

Yeah, who knows. But I've seen arguments that Seungri was something of an outcast with the other members, they kinda just tolerated him, more than just for being the youngest would merit. I think they must have had an idea of what went on in his club and all and they chose to distance themselves, which honestly I don't know if one could have asked more of them. Specially when you consider more importantly how much YG knew... YG did support Seungri, and I'm sure he knew at least as much as the members, I mean when you take into account that he was actually part of some of the illegal crap that was going, and there was a LOT of illegal crap going on. The whole thing is just rat bastard ugly.

So I heard about this show, My Teenage Girl (yeah), while watching GP then I just completely forgot about it. But I have been reminded and now I simply must share my feelings.

Now, let's see. My feelings right now can best be summed up as frustration. Frustration because even though I WISH I could enjoy this show, I can't be completely comfortable watching it because the youngest of these girls are like 11, 12. And this is coming from a Matsui Jurina fan, someone who doesn't normally have as much problem with young idols as other people. But yeah. Thoughts? Although if you guys want to completely ignore this post I'll understand, that'd be just as fine with me also.

i've been watching this show (soyeon's on it ofc i am) and my general take is:

- none of the 11 or 12 year olds have a shot at debut (they're talented tho and gl to them in the future). youngest who does are/will be 14 at debut, and that's unfortunately just industry standard going as far back as BoA
- 11 or 12 year olds become trainees all the time regardless, and if survival shows provide a service is that it's the industry experience condensed into a few months and better to be disillusioned in a moment than after a 5 year grind
- eh, i'm not their parent and would not presume to know what's best for them
- my main picks are seonyou, taerim, and inhye hby

Oh okay, yeah I hadn't checked the rankings or anything, that sets me a bit more at ease I guess. For sure, by itself I think it's a good experience for anybody. Well... in theory, at least. Yeah, 14 is still very young. But hey at that age even just one year makes a huge difference.

True, true, it's not a simple issue, there are a lot of factors to consider and it's not the same for everybody. That's an interesting point lol... if nothing else the show gives them a good reality check, which might actually be better if they get it when they're younger. Hmm still there's some unavoidable pain involved, and I know you know some can take it really really hard. That's regardless of age though. Anyways I know you agree with me that the industry could be a lot more responsible about a lot of things, and that the age of the idols is one of them. It's just the pretty much complete disregard that gets me... indeed the ugly commodity of it.

ive finally recovered and im ready to discuss this.

holy fucking shit. i loved Twice before. i fucking love them now. i can't even describe how amazing that concert was. it was just.. pure euphoria. i was dancing and fanchanting and singing in broken ass korean for 3 whole hours. i almost wish it could never end, but alas.

for 6 years ive been watching these girls on my computer and TV and for the first time, there they were. right in fucking front of me. well. i was on the lower section of the arena, but not the floor seats. im not that rich.

the girls were simply amazing. the show as perfect. i loved every second of it. here are my thoughts on the members.

Jeongyeon: thank you. fucking goddess. i heard from the other shows that she was in and out because of fatigue, but that night i felt like she really gave it her all. what what a voice she has holy shit. every time she was the focus the crowd E R U P T E D. they loved her.

Dahyun: I fucking got bias wrecked by my own bias holy shit lmao. even my wife says now that she was pulled in by her charm and charisma. every time they stopped to address the audience, dahyun stole the show. her hilarious, quirky, fearless attitude came out we were all aboard for it. i fucking love her. she was born to be an entertainer, and god damn i will help fulfill her dream of being famous! even though she already is!

Nayeon: my heart CE. MY FUCKING HEART. dont tell my wife, but she stole it that night. and her voice!!! every time her part came up to sing, i was always amazed by how fucking good she sounded.

Chaeng: lmaooooo i fucking love chaeyoung. i dunno why but all the girls always put her on the spot and she looked like she had been sentenced to death and it was hilarious. but her fucking rap sections were so good. talk about charisma, talk about energy. shes got IT.

Sana: lmaooo shes so fucking cute. in their intros they prepared english things to say and she just forgot all of it but dammit we cheered her on the entire time. ive never shouted "IS SANA GAY" so loud in my life

Momo: all hail the dancing queen. she ooozed energy and charisma and drive and SEXINESS holy shit. im so glad i got to see her powerful dance moves in person. they are something else.

Mina: guys. i saw an angel that night. her name is Sharon. Im so glad i got to see the black swan live, considering she missed the last concert tour. shes got it all.

Chewy: i was never a Tzuyu fan... until the other night. she was simply amazing. i see now why so many fans love her. every time she spoke to the audience, it felt so loving and sweet and sincere. and she so tall!

Brave Girls, Cosmic Girls, Kep1er, LOONA, Hyolyn, and VIVIZ to be on Queendom season 2. I'm SO excited for this, especially LOONA and Cosmic Girls. I kinda agree that Kep1er shouldn't be there because they'll most likely be successful regardless (Everglow or Dreamcatcher really could've used the boost), but I think this lineup is a huge win nonetheless.

I've watched a bit of the first episode of My Teenage Girl and never got around to finishing it, but I plan on watching through the entire season eventually. I'll share my thoughts on it then.

I actually find it hard to believe Itzy is part of JYP. Sounds like they get handled way different.
