Not to mention that it's not just for Monster Hunter, but for all games that have online multiplayer. And let's not forget that it gives you free games every month which are worth way more than 50 bucks when added up.

I mean, if she's already dead, he can't save her any more.

And in the Revenge of the Sith novel, Vader does actually try to attack Palpatine as soon as he gets off the operating table, but he realizes he's nowhere near as strong as he used to be, and comes to the conclusion that Palpatine is all he has left, even after everything that Palpatine did to him.

And the backstabbing plots came later.

Honestly, he had every right to not trust Anakin due to how close he was to Palpatine.

Mace Windu wasn't a main character. In Phantom Menace, he's barely above a background prop.

And people also probably dislike Finn because of how the trailers portrayed him as being a Jedi, and then he ends up essentially being the butt of everyone's jokes.

But Anakin's character, for all its faults, was fairly consistent in the Prequels. He knows in his head what is right. And in his heart he wants to do the right thing. But he cannot overcome his human temptations of fear, anger, and hatred. He can never truly bring himself to make a sacrifice. So Anakin's descent makes sense here, even if at that point it's unsympathetic. He's lost a lot by following the Jedi way, never felt like he was respected by those he swore his allegiance to, and stands to lose more if Sheev kicks it. The choice is between saving the Republic, and saving the one he loves. He's spent the movie trying to save both, but faced with the ultimatum, cannot overcome his own weaknesses to do what's right.

Immediately after Mace's death, the full realization of his actions hit him. He sees what he's done as a point of no return, and the only thing in the world he has left, as he sees it, is Padme. And the only way she lives now, he sees, is if Palpatine gives him the power to save her. There's a sense of hopelessness and detachment in Anakin's actions after this point.

It's interesting that it wasn't until the death of Mace that Anakin was willing to turn Palpatine in. On some level, he was willing to defy Palpatine and potentially risk losing Padme to do what was right. It was only after that clusterfuck of a confrontation that he gave in.

Anakin's main problem was that he took the visions of Padme dying at face value. Never once did he consider that Palpatine might be putting those images in his head so that he could seduce Anakin by dangling the perfect solution in front of him.

There are actually a few extra lines of dialogue in the Revenge of the Sith novel in that scene. Anakin tells Mace that it's not the Jedi way, and then Mace asks about Dooku. Anakin claims Dooku "was different" and then says that he needs Palpatine.

The whole thing wouldn't have happened if Mace would have just cut down Palpatine as soon as he disarmed him, rather than keep his lightsaber pointed at Palpatine for like 5 minutes and gloating about it until Anakin showed up.

That game has a lore? I thought it was some shitty mutiplayer game full of toxic 7 year olds who need to be fed bars of soap.

It's kinda like Overwatch in that it actually has a ton of lore, but none of it is in the gameplay itself (other than character interactions).

It sounds pretty confusing, but one of the characters in League of Legends just received a massive lore retcon that turned him from a revenge-driven cursed archer that lost his wife and kid to a gay couple fused into one being by an evil living weapon.

TL;DR of his original lore:

Varus was a man tasked with protecting a shrine that housed some sort of evil corrupting power. When a hostile army landed on his shores, the army killed Varus' entire village, including his wife and child. Having lost everything, he willingly embraced the corrupting power he was supposed to keep sealed away to exact vengeance on the invaders, knowing full well that the power will eventually consume him completely.

TL;DR of his new lore:

Valmar and Kai were two hunters who were very much in love with each other. They returned to their home village to receive a blessing to be married, when a hostile army invaded. While fighting them off, Kai was mortally wounded, and Valmar took him to a well near their village that was said to house a power that could "fix everything". Kai and Valmar jumped into the well, but rather than healing Kai, the power in the well (which was actually a living being called a Darkin) fused the two together with his own consciousness, creating Varus. The Darkin and the two lovers now struggle over control of their mutual body. The Darkin wants to reunite with his Darkin brethren and destroy the world, while the two lovers want to find a way to rid themselves of the Darkin and return to normal.

So the developers basically took one of the few characters in the game that was confirmed to be heterosexual, and turned him into two gay men fused together into one being.

If that's not the most radical backstory retcon ever, I don't know what is.

Generally not, though there are some exceptions. The black woman from that TV show Neighbors (about a family moving to a town and everyone in that town ends up being aliens disguised as humans) was fine as hell.

I just don't care for frizzy curly hair, and the lighter the skin the better. And I absolutely dislike the tone of voice most black women speak with.

Ya gotta admit the first-party lineup was fucking incredible though. Virtually all of Nintendo's franchises out in full force. Metroid Prime 1 and 2, F-Zero GX, Star Fox Assault, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Super Mario Sunshine, Mario Golf/Tennis/Baseball/Soccer, Pikmin, Animal Crossing, Super Smash Bros Melee, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, Star Fox Adventures.

The first-party lineup was fucking legit.

I'm pretty sure the one about Latias and Latios is, because Ash recognizes Latios when he fights one in the Sinnoh League.

The Warriors Three being killed off so unceremoniously.

And Sif not even being in the movie at all.

Those stupid tiny disks instead of using regular disks like PS2 and Xbox.

That cost them a lot of third-party support.

Can someone TL;DR the issue with micro transactions in this game? Havent been keeping up with it.

I understand micro transactions and loot creates are a huge part of the gaming industry now (and will hopefully lead to its downfall) but whats different about his game opposed from all the other triple A titles that incorporated loot crates?

I'm not 100% sure, but the fact that you have to play like 40 hours of a Star Wars game just to get the ability to unlock Darth Vader as a playable character is pretty ridiculous.

The first one was very refreshing, and NSMB Wii and NSMBU were at least fun with friends.

NSMB 2 on the other hand really was uncalled for.

They did Sandman pretty well.
