Best pizza place in Tacoma area of Washington is Salamonies pizza.

Base pizza is like $24, but toppings are 3$ more each, pretty easy to have your pizza cost about 40$ before tax, and with 11% tax that makes it 45$ easily.

Cut that pizza into 6 large slices (3 on each side) and you are talking $9 a slice.

But yeah, it's worth it, and yeah, I've paid it before.

Also, should be mentioned that ANY pizza delivered by uber eats etc, is gonna hit around $8 or more a slice at this point. Cost to get PAPA MURPHYS pizza delivered to my house is over $40 lol.

Spent that much for a whole frozen pizza from 7-11 walking home from the bus stop in Santa Cruz. Would never pay that much for a single slice.

Maybe a large slice of deep dish with a lot of toppings. There's a place downtown that sells 1 topping deep dish slices for $5 so $8 isn't too ridiculous if the slice is big or lots of toppings.

For $5 I can get a "slice" from my local pizza place that is 1/4 of a large pizza. Add $1.50 do that and I can get chips and a drink as well.

2 years ago you could still get dollar slices in NYC. I'm sure it's higher now, but was still impressive. We're talking big nypizza slices too. Plate size.

to answer the question, I probably already have at some point. Not a regular thing by any means, but I like trying new food and Id hope pizza that expensive was exceptional enough to warrant the price (obvs thats not always going to be the case though).

My costco is right across the street from a fairly decent "cheap" pizza place semi-near me called NY vinnies.

NY vinnies has a slightly better quality pizza you can walk out with for $6, or a double pepporoni one for $8. You can toss on extra cheese and it costs $11 after tax.

That is for a whole pie, which is about the same as 4 pieces from Costco which are $2 (might be 2.50 I forget) a pop.

The 8$ one is about the same as costco for about the same price (maybe a bit less if it's 2.50 a slice). The main difference is if you pay more for extra cheese and double pep (I actually get double extra cheese and pep and they hook me up.

Prob is the wait, sometimes it's like an hour, so I call and check before shopping to see when I need to order it. Also, I only eat half of the pizza when I get it (and reheat the other half), while I just get 1 slice from costco, so in reality it's only 2-2.50 at costco, vs 11$ at NY vinnies, but.....it's waaay better than costco with the extra cheese I get on it (worth the 1 hour drive by itself).

Costco's slice is the cheapest way to get a pizza fix, heck 2 of em are less or about $5....and that is enough for anyone to call a meal. Much like their hotdogs they have not raised the prices so it's comparably lower than pretty much everywhere.

Wouldn't go out of my way for a costco slice of pepporoni (and you need that topping as their just cheese is really not very good), but it's a good deal if you are already there (and the 50 cent unlimited drink is pretty decent even if you just get it before shopping slurp on it while doing so, and then refil it before leaving.

No that is overpriced.
