bruh, did you see how Russia performed in South Ossetia when they invaded Georgia? For beating up an ex-Soviet shithole with inferior equipment in every way they had huge, glaring issues with performance that Russia spent the next half decade desperately overhauling their forces.

I think people are really underestimating the advantage the US has in force projection over virtually every other country in the world.

It's literally the same thing that happened in South Ossetia. Russia claims ethnic Russians are being oppressed, invades to "liberate" them, and then holds a sham referendum where 99% of the people there want to be annexed by Russia.

No one stopped them there, no one stopped them in Crimea, and no one stopped their support of rebels in Donbass even after they shot down MH17 with a Russian missile, so Putin knows he'll get away with it here again.

When Russia annexed Crimea they claimed the invading forces were patriotic Crimean "volunteers" that were literally just Russian troops with their insignias removed. No one else in the world actually bought it, the only thing that matters is what they can tell the Russian public.

Boy I can't wait for troops that are 100% actual Ukranian forces to attack the Russians across the border so Russia has a very convenient excuse to defend themselves with the 100,000 troops that just happen to be sitting on the border

The Budapest Memorandum says we're supposed to guarantee their territorial sovereignty but we just pretend that isn't a thing and let Russia get away with what they want.

The US has made it abundantly clear that we'll abandon our allies the moment there's any hint of trouble, just look at how we treated the Kurds in Syria.

Ukraine had nukes when the Soviet Union broke up, and the agreement for them giving them up was that the US, UK and Russia would guarantee their territorial sovereignty and respect their borders. Look how that turned out for them.

I mean it's kinda pointless complaining about the writing when the game was so obviously rushed and unfinished. If they had longer to develop the game then of course each route would have had more finality with TWSITD. As it stands I think the Silver Snow route was the only one where you actually fought them, and even then it was super rushed and anticlimactic at the end (and lol @ the out of place dubstep music)

Nah Verdant Wind had you fight Nemesis, which itself is awkward because you think you'd battle against Rhea's greatest enemy on her own route. Then again she was also cut from being playable despite having level up and battle support quotes, so it's clear the route splits caused rewrites mid development that the game never really got the time to accommodate.
