Its pretty irresponsible that they didnt have one in place already. My whole extended family updated ours back in March when things first went to shit. There was some language in it that along the lines of if all three of these people die as a result of the same accident, disaster or disease.... Didnt think that would be a very likely scenario, but it suddenly became a lot more relevant.

From what I understand it is rather habit forming. The customers tend to be a small number of whales as opposed to lots of smaller spenders. I imagine a lot of people that used to do it are still doing it, and the overhead is low enough that they probably dont need all that many customers to remain viable.

Ultimately, the blame for this falls on the police. It is illegal to block a highway like that, and the police allowed it to happen anyway. When law enforcement decides to not enforce a law, and a person dies as a result, they are to blame.

Tell the people blocking the highway to disperse. If they refuse, arrest them. It is that simple.

The police are to blame.

TopicWhy are so many people in the USA racist?
NeoShadowhen
07/04/20 9:24:33 AM

Its more apparent in the US, primarily due to having a relatively diverse population combined with multiple avenues of financial incentive to promulgate both individual incidents of racism as well as racist ideals as a whole.

Typically when people are asked to point out areas that are less racist, it always comes down to, well, how would you even know if people are racist there.

Its a terribly difficult thing to truly measure, and the best thing to truly say is that the racism in the US is the most visible.

Do you think that these tests exist so that the results can be widely released? Conclusions drawn? Papers written? Any research that has been published by people who prop up this test is focused around how the test is valid and useful. Its meant to be a tool to be used by those who can benefit from it.

MC_BatCommander posted...
Pretty silly test IMO since it trains you to associate good with white and drills you on it, anyone good at adapting to the new instructions will pass 100% regardless of their bias. I took this years ago in college and didn't miss a single one.

This is the main crux of the argument against its methodology. Also, for those who do make mistakes it probably happened in the last few rounds or immediately after a side switches.

These tests have been around for decades. Nobody takes them seriously anymore and theyre typically only used as a tacked on training for employees when HR is trying to look like they theyre doing something.

Always watch the opening cinematic before sitting down for a session. Think of it as the opening credits for an anime.

And try to avoid spoilers and try not to use a guide. Just go through it the way you want to see the story go.

Edit: actually my first bit of advice was what I would say for original persona 5. Royal might not have as epic of an opening.

The hobbit also translates well, as do Stephen Kings works. I particularly enjoyed his earlier short stories on long drives.

Some very notable ones that are particularly good in audio format include The Dresden Files and Rant by Chuck Palahniuk. In fact, Rant my be better as an audiobook while driving than any other format you could experience it.

The answer is quite simple. People stopped giving a shit.

Some point to the protests, but being masked up and outside mitigated that threat a lot. However, I would argue that the massive protests did contribute to people not giving a shit.

Also, theres really only so much a president can do in a situation like this, especially an unpopular one. It wasnt long ago that trumpster fire said he was considering quarantining New York and Coumo said that would be a declaration of war. All of the politicians have sucked throughout this entire ordeal, and I suspect a lot of that stems from it being an election year. Everyone wants to get the sound bite of them sticking it to the side they arent on.

But the bottom line is its the people. The people no longer giving a shit.

Wear a mask. Wash your hands.
