I would recommend going on hikes instead then. Drive somewhere nearby and walk like 3 or 4 miles. Unlikely you can do that everyday, but 3x a week would be great.

I really need to start going on hikes more often again. My wife and I used to go like once a week. Now it is pretty rare :(

I love hiking, and used to go about once a week as well. I'd like to do so again.

My main advice would be to just go for daily walks, even if just half an hour. 2 miles is 200 calories. People don't realize how much of a difference 200 calories a day makes. 200 * 365 / 3500 (how many calories are in a pound) = 21 pounds a year. 200 calories of exercise a day is easy, and that is even before watching what you eat or higher levels of exercise.

I would also advise getting a set of dumbbells if you don't want to join a gym. With dumbbells and your own body, you can easily do pushups, sit ups/crunches, lunges, squats, bicep curls, shoulder lifts, etc. Add a weight bench and you can do chest press, flies, tricep curls, etc. Just 30 minutes for 3 times a week can make a huge difference. And maybe just some pushups on some days in between.

Others can give better at-home lifting advice than me, but these are some relatively basic ideas.

I used to be able to go for a walk on our property. We have 11.5 acres, and a creek that circles our field. So it was easy to just go walk around and follow the creek. Iirc one lap around was about half a mile or so.

But dad took in a horse. That thing is mean as heck. You can't go in the field without it attacking. So, that's out of the question now. The road I live in isn't exactly safe for walks either.

Recently I've just been walking a lot more at work. There's a nice hallway on the ground floor and I've been making myself pace it back and forth. Better than nothing I guess.

Hey guys. I guess I'll be joining in too if that's ok. I've known for a while that I was gaining weight, but I didn't really want to admit it.

My problem is probably my total lack of physical activity. Like, I don't ever really do anything. Have a desk job, video games and movies are my main hobbies. I've noticed that a lot of the time I'll go days with almost no activity.

So, hopefully this topic will inspire me to get off my lazy butt and get in shape again. I see you all are doing great, and that makes me happy.

I'm still kinda confused about him reviving the timelines like that. Is it just that anyone with magic can do it? My friend theorized only those with the time slip ability can revive them, but there is nothing in the show to confirm it

I also assumed it was time magic. That's been such a big focus and was really the only power up he got. I was assuming he was either reverting them back to when they were healthy(aka slipping them into a previous state like he did himself) or somehow inserting himself into the start of each timeline and reeding them either his own power or the temporal radiation to sustain them.

I'm sorry. I hope he recovers well.

I personally had a bad experience with therapy. Not the "confront your issues" kind of bad. More of the "your therapist is constantly insulting you, laughing at you, and mocking your failures" kind of way.

But besides all that, yes, I still believe therapy is good and healthy. I just have the worst luck when it comes to having people in my life.

I really want to try again, but it's causing me to hesitate on checking into it again. If I could find a good match, I think it could be great.

I believe it's not something I can have, and so far that the reality of it. So I guess it aligns.

I've never truly had normal attraction to begin with. I think only once in my life I saw someone and was attracted to them by appearance alone.

I mostly develop attraction over time by getting to know someone and finding their personality charming. But since I'm also a shut in and can't really open up to get close to people... I can't really say if it's changed or not.

Really good episode, great season, though I am a little confused about the ending and why he has to, like, literally hold time together or whatever he's doing. I wish that was more clear.

And I mean, in the end he won, instead of lose. But he's still alone.... And I'm not quite sure what Mobius is going to do. If his timeline is still gone then he still can't go back to that life. Will he try to make a new life? Or end up back at the TVA when he gets tired of staring at another man's life?

Ok, this is just my guess at what happened there. The loom was what was creating the sacred timeline, and all the other timelines branched from the sacred one. By destroying the loom they were all cut off from the source and died.

So he then used his time powers(I guess?) to revive them himself. But they only remained alive as long as they were in contact with him. So he grabbed a bunch, entered the void to remove himself further from time, and bound them all to himself. Which then he either created or became Ygdrasil, source of all life and time in the multiverse.

I'm not totally sure what that means for the sacred timeline. I guess he either recreated it, or its a patchwork universe withing the ones he's sustaining or something. Perhaps these events actually destroyed it and we'll see the main timeline we've been watching fall apart at a future time, maybe in secret wars or whatever.

I know all of that, and Im sorry for your suffering. I understand that you have your reasons. I have a very good understanding of the long term psychological damage abuse can have.

However, by acknowledging that you are allowing your past to dictate your future, you can choose to take control of your life. Nobody else can do that for you.

And yes, it might go wrong. It probably will, to at least some degree. That doesnt mean it isnt worth trying.

I have tried, and failed a ton. I've failed every attempt, and I know it doesn't sound like I've tried a lot(and I guess I really haven't compared to other people) but I did spend several years trying online dating. Each time I just stepped away feeling worse until I just stopped. Then I'd take years to recover enough to try again, and then basically just flush my mental health right down the toilet.

It feels like it's just take a little success to help turn things around, but since I'm struggling to find literally any form of success it's not looking good.

I'm going to keep my responses brief, because I tend to go full pity party if I discuss things too much and I'm already having to resist that urge.

But I do have a lot of emotional trauma from being really badly abused most of my life. I was always really reserved and shy, so it was hard to make friends and get close to people. I've just become even more closed off as an adult, and all the failure I have experienced just reinforced the idea that no one could ever want me.

Besides, who knows what all issues might pop up if someone does get close to me. I e never had to deal with that, and it's he a struggle anyway, so if any more issues arise from that I wouldn't know how to deal with it.

All in all, I'm just so wildly inexperienced and unequipped at dealing with people being emotionally close. I still want that, but it terrifies me at the same time. I don't want to be a burden to anyone, but it feels like that's all I'd be if anyone attempted to add me to their lives. Not to mention that I'm simply not worth adding...

And this isn't a brief post after all. Ugh.

40 year old virgin here. Never had a date or anything similar. But no, I don't ask people out like that. I'm afraid to even get that far.

I haven't even attempted anything for close to 3 years I think. Then even that was just like a month or two on bumble till I spoke to 1 person. It had been like 5 years before that when the last time I tried was.

I just don't have the heart to put myself out there like other people do. It hurts, and I hate myself for it. I really wish someone would see me and take an interest and have something develop that way naturally... But no. At this point I think I'm too far gone to help.

I really enjoyed that. Of course I think we all knew Loki would end up taking over the multiverse in some way. It was neat to see it happen that way.

I do tend to nitpick on little things I notice, but when OB said they waited too long why did Loki still insist on attempting to fix the loom while it's going critical and killing Victor? Especially after he learned to build and operate the devices on his own. Could he not have built it and given it to OB during episode one when Mobius safely made the trip to the loom thing? OB would trust him and have Mobius install it while he's there.

I know, I know, it's a TV show and not real actions being taken. But it irks me when a better solution is right there and the characters don't even try it.

Also, did it bother anyone else that when Loki asked how long it's take him to learn what OB and Victor know, OB said decades, but Victor said Centuries? Um, but full of yourself there aren't you Mr Timely?

I don't like describing it that way, because I generally don't have very high standards to begin with. I tend to be more attracted to personality more than anything. So yes, I've tried matching with people that probably wouldn't normally be considered attractive.

Oh, just remembered my cousin's file in Fallout 4 got glitched. Every time he played a mini nuke would drop on him from no where.

If he was fast enough, he could fast travel or get inside a building. But as soon as he was out in the open again, bam! Nuked. I saw him once manage to avoid it, then a minute later there was another. He managed to avoid it like 3 times but another would just drop on him again over and over. lol

Recently playing Skul the Hero Slayer(on Switch). I had almost everything unlocked. Decided to play a bit and in the middle of my run it suddenly switched to a different language. Like, I never even opened a menu it legit just suddenly switched to Dutch or something for no reason. I tried resetting and all the normal stuff but it was still in the wrong language, so I googled which options were to set it back to English, and did that.

But apparently it was wrong info,bit was actually the option to reset the custscenes. Which actually did fix the language problem, and I thought rewatching the cutscenes wasn't a big deal... Until I realized it had reset my entire save file. I lost everything.
That's been like 2 months and I haven't had the heart to go back to it yet.

I've been avoiding this topic for a long time. I didn't think my heart could handle seeing you suffer through the loss. I finally decided I should look it over and see how you're doing.

I'm so relieved and glad to see that you're doing well. Of course it looks like there are still bad days too. But overall you seem to be in a good place with friends and family(sorry to hear about your brother being sick though). You really do seem to truly enjoy your job, and the people in your life. It's been bittersweet catching up on your posts in here, but mostly uplifting. You're a strong person and I have a lot of respect for that, and the good that bring to the community. You're a good person at heart and that absolutely shines through in every post I've seen you make. Stay strong, and of course if things get rough, we'll be here for you too.

Not really I feel like Mario is at Peach's castle every fucking day and that was just one excuse to be there like an hour earlier than he normally would have.

Does he even have a place to live outside the castle? I'm not a huge Mario buff, but I don't recall seeing him have a home anywhere except maybe his parent's place in Yoshi's island iirc.
